《HEIR OF LIGHT》CHAPTER 10

DERORA
The forest was so grate on her nerves, with the veratus hacking at the vines upfront and the thoughts of the prophecy the woman said, she was beginning to feel boxed in, it was not a feeling she liked,
For when she got angsty blood will be spilled
They got to a clearing as she was hit by an aura so pure it turned her insides, she had felt it before, an elixtu.
Getting down from her reptile and walked to the figure that laid on the floor, the veratus parted ways for her. What she saw wasn't human, it was someone she had to settle a score with, a smile came on her face as she kicked him jolting him back to life, watching as his seemingly dislocated jaw fixed back with a bony click,
"If it isn't the detok, prince of the feys" derora said,
He looked up and knelt, blood trailed down the side of his head, he spat blood from his mouth,
"Looks like you took a beating, from an elixtu?" she said chuckling to herself,
"What do you want derora?" He said standing,
"Isn't that obvious?, the prince, marxis orders" she spat,
Saying that last part made derora clench her hands, detok smiled mischievously,
Sick half blood bastard! She thought,
She had heard the stories of what he did to his people, and while derora was the farthest thing from good, she admitted there were…..things she would not do, this being in her front had no such compulsion, in other words they were alike and unalike, for while she would show the sort of monster she was for all to see, detok would rather paint himself an angel as he sawed off the throat of his enemies with a blunt saw and a smile.
"Now that's surprising, why would the all-mighty slayer of gods serve a tramp like marxis?" He asked sweetly,
"None of your business!, now where did he pass?!" she snapped,
"You are cranky, what's the problem, power?, mages?, prophecies?" He said,

Derora flinched for a second and he saw it, bastard,
"Ah, so you've heard a bad one, c'mon tell me, you do know my speciality, we could help each other" he said,
His bargain was alluring, after all he was the one who changed heregas prophecy to control derora, after he sold her out to herega in the first place, she would have to keep an eye on him.
"Okay, let's see If you can work that magic of yours again" derora said,
"Wonderful, so let's find the prince shall we?," he said,
"What's in it for you?, you just don't help without a reason that always put the realm in jeopardy," she asked,
He gave her that crazy smile of his again,
"He has two companions, I want the girl, that's all" he replied,
Derora raised an eyebrow, what would he want with the princes companion?,
"For what detox?" she asked,
"Just my tribute to father refrot, i don’t like preys escaping" he replied,
She nodded as he took his harp and shook it, green wisps encircled the strings,
"You might want to step back a little" he said,
Derora stepped back to his right, he began to play on it as the grasses in her front exploded and created a trail of mud that moved forward,
She climbed her retoode and moved forwards with the prince, the faster they get the elixtu the faster she could get rid of the prophecy and kill this bastard. Somehow derora could not shake the feeling that she was playing into the hands of illummino,
Here we come prince, i hope you're ready.....
TERRENA
They moved closer to another village, the sky was getting dark and they need to find shelter before night fell, daren said he knew someone in this town, but she wasn't worried about shelter, she was worried about jason.
He had been silent through the journey, after the curse detox laid on him. Terrena couldn't help but shake herself on the inside, why wasn't she worried about it?,

Maybe because I like it? She thought while mentally slapping herself,
Even if she told him at this stage she loved him, he wouldn't believe, he'll think it is the curse. She nudged him as he looked at her absent minded, his eyes had lost the bright spark they had, terrena sighed inwardly,
Aether help me she thought,
JASON
An unbreakable curse, the bond, terra...
Those were the thoughts that went through her head as they moved on, he didn't pay attention to the road, all jason knew was that we were getting closer to a village.
Terra nudged him gently on the shoulder, jason looked at her, a dry smile at his lips. She sensed his uneasiness to talk about it and kept quiet, she stared at his hands, the tattoos of the blade and bracelet on them, illummino gave these to him, to lead them, a whole realm along,
How can I lead a realm if I can't protect my friends?! He screamed on the inside,
You will lead us jason, stop blaming yourself for what wasn't your fault, we have faith in you, I have faith in you, isn't that why I chose you? A voice replied in his head,
That snapped jason back to reality, he glanced around, no one was on his path, terra was lost in her own thoughts and daren whistled onwards,
Who are you? Jason replied,
He got no reply, it was not the voice of illumino, jason knew that, this sounded different, then again he might be hallucinating,
He brought down his mental barrier and relaxed,
"Terra...are you okay?" he asked,
"The question jason is if you're okay" she replied,
"What do you mean?"
"You burden yourself with what's not your problem jason". She said,
"Its my fault, he sensed the connection, the bond I strengthened, it-"
"OH CUT THE CRAP!!" She screamed back,
"Terra? are you-?"
"No jason, I'm not!, do you know what it means to lose your parents at a young age?!!" She said out loud,
"Terra please we-"
"Don't you dare jason!, don't!" She said cutting me off,
He dragged her to a corner as people stared, she removed her hand, tears filled her eyes as he felt something in him twist in pain,
"I was trained from little to protect you no matter what, for reasons known to aether I was taught to save your life first before any other!!" She shouted,
jason stared stoically at her,
"And all you do is lament about the bond, what makes you think I hate you for it?, you have a whole realm barely alive due to the promise of your return and you bother about me" she said,
"Forget about the bond, I do not regret having it jason, we need you to focus on the real problems not an insignificant thing like the bond" she said,
Jason could only look on with his mouth open, she didn't hate the bond?, how many things does she feel?,
" swear on illummino that no matter what happens to me, you will lead the realm first" she said,
He stared hard at her, nodding briefly, his mind trying to understand what was going on,
"No jason, I know you long enough, you have to swear" she pressed,
"Okay, I swear by illummino" he said,
She nodded in contentment wiping a tear from her face,
"Looks like you guys found the path, nice work you both!" Daren said interrupting the session,
They moved back in reflex, he raised an eyebrow at them,
"Anything I should know of?" He asked,
"No, nothing" jason said with terra,
He chuckled to himself,
"Talk about bonding" he muttered as terra smacked his head,
We walked towards a wall?,
Jason stared at daren who smirked,
"Here's the fun path" he said extracting claws from his hand and scratching the wall as it rumbled,
The stones rearranged themselves to open a pathway into a whole new place,
"Welcome to fenris, ikir" he said...

The original version of the first book was published on RR in 2019 and has since seen multiple revisions based on reader feedback with this one as the final and official fourth version before the second book. While the entire series story has undergone major changes in the last year, all books have been planned since the beginning of writing. It is also my second wish to eventually make this story into a webcomic, either by myself or with a team if possible. Thank you for taking this journey with me, and enjoy reading! ( You can alternatively read books in the series as standalone fictions, but they connect to one another though a running theme and mystery that evolves and progresses with the main character. ) Alternate Blurb for the Singularity Cycle series: Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after nearly 20 years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was. Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters mythical creatures beyond her restless imagination in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who reincarnated after three millennia. Essairyn is gifted with abnormal magic, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world more dangerous than its beautiful facade could hide. Finding new friends along a path riddled with tragedy, Essairyn must learn who to trust as deceit and betrayal lie behind kindly faces. Life in this deceptively promising world slowly spirals down a path of no return. This is not a game, but cruel reality. Her simple adventure became the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tore even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought they were. And not even the fickle gods could change the time-worn destiny of the universes... A single promise shook eternity’s existence.

The Chronicles of The Green wizard
Garion Greensleeves always was an oddity. The first son of High-Wizard Garius Greensleeves and Adricor, a Noble woman of well renown, he would of stood to inherit much. However, on the night of his first full moon, as a baby he disappeared from his cot. His parents, after much frantic searching, found the babe crying in a small clearing of trees, a large feline creature pacing defensively around him, the bloodied corpse of a fox resting at its feet. As the parents approached, the beast transformed into a small owl and flew around the clearing before perching on a low branch of a tree nearby. From this moment on Garion's fate had been decided. Only those with magical blood could be capable of calling out to such a being as this. As Garion grew older, the transforming creature remained by his side. Wizards from all the continents visited the glade to see the child who had bound a familiar to his will as a babe. At age seven, Garion left his home glade and travelled the world studying to become a recognised guilded wizard. After many years he was granted the title of Wizard and was sent forth to advise, learn and ponder on behalf of the guild. After a while, Garion was assigned to a small nation within the vast continent mainly populated by man-folk known as The Patchwork kingdoms.
