《HEIR OF LIGHT》CHAPTER 13

JASON
The first ball of fire flew at him from an angry terra, he bent and jumped sideways to avoid it, it blew on the wall sending sparks about. Jason looked at her in shock, what was wrong with her?, daren moved to hold her, she stared at him in anger as he moved backwards,
"Sorry jace, on your own " daren said,
Jason gave him my best 'are you kidding me' glare, daren just sat on a table and watched, jason turned back to an angry terra, common sense told him he had better try calm her down,
"Look terra, I'm sorry for whatever I did" he said as she hurled another ball, jason ducked and rolled to safety,
"You don't even know what you did!" She shouted prepping another ball,
Wrong choice of words,
"Alright, I'm sorry for what I did today!" he replied,
Wait!, wrong choice again! jason mentally said to himself as she sent another volley,
Okay this was getting out of hand, a ball came flying as he hit it away with his blade,
"Finally, you can man up and face me coward!" She screamed,
"I just don't get you!" jason replied moving closer,
He could feel her anger and frustration, it was radiating seriously and was affecting him mentally,
"You don't get me?!, you're just dumb!" She said,
"Yeah thank for the inspiration muse" jason replied sarcastically,
"I always told you what to do!, you couldn't think for once!" She said,
"So why don't you say it for once?!, what is It?!" he shouted,
"I regret knowing you!, you're the cause of every problem I ever had, my parents, my life, everything!" She said,
Daren was speechless, jason was speechless, the whole night was quiet, he could feel something leave his body, like happiness floating away, he looked at his hand, the bond mark disappearing.
She seemed to realise what she said and gasped, chocking back sobs,
"Seems you got what you want, you're free" jason said,
"Jaso-"
"You're right, all I've been is trouble" he replied,
For years they had been shackled into protecting him, if he was to ascend some throne, he hadn’t seen yet he had to go discover himself first, likewise for them when they were not saving his hide, he had to know if what he felt for terrena was love and not infatuation or appreciation.
Daren was up on his feet, jason smiled at him, he had to do what he wanted to do, illummino chose him to bear the burden of aratia, jason might had originally been from aratia but he knew deep down he did not belong in this world, his world was earth.

"You two are free to leave, I was meant to take this burden, not you two" he said,
"C'mon jason stop the blabbering!" Daren said,
"You two can go back to earth, after all that's where I'm going if I survive this quest" jason said nonchalantly,
They stared at him in shock, perhaps they couldn't believe he could say that, after all their sacrifices to bring him here, and he quietly swore he would do all his best to set the people here free, but after that?, well, he had no idea yet.
At once terras face became rigid,
The same lecture over again jason thought as he began to move towards the doors,
"That's right, run coward!," she screamed,
Jason just shut the doors, the night was silent,
Taking a deep breathe in the chilly night air,
"Its only you now jason" he muttered,
The night was going to be long and he had the perfect partner, silence.
*********
Terrena
She probably knew she had just probably made the greatest mistake of her life, terra stared at the closed doors.
He's gone, Jason's gone!
Those were the only words that rang in her head, daren punched the walls continually, she held him as he shrugged her off,
"I don't need another guilty person right now!" terra said,
He turned to her, anger and disappointment all over his face,
"I'm not feeling guilty terra, I feel stupid for letting the two of you go on with the stupid games!" He shouted,
Terra was taken back by what he said,
"What games?!" she replied,
"Would it had killed you to say you loved him?!" He said,
Terra stared for a while, unable to speak, this was a side of daren that she had never seen since the day they first met, terra tried to speak but he continued,
"For aether's sake he was troubled with what to do, he's new to this, all of this!" He shouted,
"And you expect him to become a super warrior and friend all like that?!" He said,
"Are you blaming me for this?!" terra silently asked, her voice barely audible,
He kept quiet and just sat on the table, thinking of what she couldn’t begin to imagine, a chuckle turned their heads to the door,
The fey prince was awake, a devilish smile on his face,
"Now that's a piece of play" he croaked,
Terrena had enough of this pompous brat, consequences be damned, she didn’t care if the whole fey declared war at the death of their prince. She moved with anger towards him, ready to deliver a punch that would send him to fey dream land,

"TERRA!" Daren's voice boomed,
She stopped and grabbed his tunic, he had a mixture of fear and satisfaction on his face, she showed him my hand,
"See?, the bond is gone, your curses don't work” terra said, a sad smile on her face,
He stared at her with amusement in his eyes and bursted in a fit of laughter, confusion came on her face,
"What's funny" she asked,
"Do you not know a thing about fey curses?" He asked,
She turned to daren, he had the same look of ignorance on his face,
"The bond curse activates when one of the part rejects the other part" he said,
And like that the twig appeared back, twisting in he r skin and stopped at its normal position,
She looked at daren as he held her hand, a look of shock on his face. Terra felt loneliness and anger flood through her, Jasons feelings were resonating in her,
"Jason can you hear me?" terra called,
She got no reply, he was either ignoring her calls or not hearing,
she chose the former,
terra looked at the fey and stood up,
"Oh, one more thing" he called,
"The curse works with your true feelings" he said,
"What do you mean?"
He rolled his eyes at her, like she was supposed to know,
"Think!, if one part must hate" he said for her to continue,
Terra stood still, understanding what he meant,
"The other part must love" daren said,
"Why are you telling us?" she asked,
"To see the shock, and for the fun if it" he said shrugging,
Terrena walked to the doors and stared outside, the moon had risen somehow, its beauty radiated, somewhere was jason.
Daren walked towards the alter and pushed the key through a hole, the walls creaked, he moved through the path and she looked at the fey prince, he seemed surprised that we were leaving, she waved as the wall slid back in place to a screaming prince, it was a deserted temple, the last place the fey would look for their abandoned prince.
She produced a flame ball as we went down the path, they came to a tunnel, she saw daren walk towards the road,
"Where do we go from now?" terra asked,
He looked at her with a dumb look,
It clicked, a little grin showed up on her face,
"You're not letting him go on his own, are you?" terra said,
"No, now let's go find the prince before we incur illuminos wrath" he said as he changed to a giant wolf,
He gestured for her to climb on, she sat on his back as he bounded down the road......
*********
Jason
He got to a stream and sat on the rock near it, jason was out of strength, he should had taken provisions. The moon now shone at its beauty, he washed his face and laid on the bare floor, just thinking of the what terra said made him started his tired with a barrage of questions, like why would illummino choose him?, he understood he was the last of his line, hisaunt..., he grimaced realizing he had almost forgotten about her. Jason still had to save her, she owed him an explanation, if for the sake of family.
He stared at the moon, its whiteness with a tinge of black that shone, it seemed to be coming closer, jason narrowed his eyes at it, it really was coming closer!, he jumped up as it landed and the black was actually blue, it swirled and finally stopped.
In his front was a female warrior, she wore shinning silver sandals, a long silver sword and crown, jason moved back, she radiated authority,
"Mortals bow before me child" she said,
He scoffed, his legs were being jittery as his very being recognized the presence of a divine being but he had to maintain his authority, somehow, he knew that,
"Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm not your normal mortal" jason replied,
She kept a straight face and the next minute he was in the air and slamming a tree, the pain was blinding, he saw stars and his sight became hazy. Jason finally stood up and saw her smirking, the blades formed in his hands, she frowned, pressure began to slam into jason, it felt like the finger of a giant was intent on crushing him as he gritted his teeth, summoning all the energy he had to withstand the weight,
"Where did you get that?!" She said,
"None of your business!" he replied attacking,
A very serious mistake,
Jason was parried and a serious pain took my breath out and made me fall clenching my stomach, she held his hand and saw the bracelet mark,
"So you're aethers boy" she said,
He glared angrily, his head still reeled,
"Now let's start with the introductions" she said,
"I'm perilia, the moon goddess and patron of the loup-de-sang and you my boy are in dire need of help" she said,
Another god?, great, just great! Jason thought,
"So I'm guessing you have a lot to say" he asked standing, the pain gone,
"Yes, and its about your very existence" she said,
