《Where The Future Began》Chapter Thirteen

Recap: "Brian knew he would not like any ideas his ward was getting at the moment but he had to ask anyway, "What is it".
Acacius smiled and said, "the girl likes to play hide and seek, how about we play along but make sure we are the seekers and that we are in control of the game." Ilium nodded along and said, "If only we knew of a way to lock down the city to make sure no one gets in or out". Acacius smiled and pointed at Brian who replied "Let me get this straight, boys; you want me to lock down an entire city just to find a wolf girl?". "Yes, Brian, Acacius replied then looked to Ilium for support. Ilium rolled his eyes before saying "Think about it, dad, she would have nowhere to go, she will be trapped here making it easy for us and our scouts to find her". Acacius added, "We would have scouts in the air as well as on foot, there would be nowhere for her to hide, she would be forced to give herself up".
Brian shook his head but brought out his cellphone anyways and stepped out to make a few calls. He came in a while later and announced "after much talk, the elders of Mobilis have agreed to lock down the city and help us find her". A smile broke on both men's faces, they had been anticipating a turndown.

Aurora was under so much stress, she was trying to leave town when the announcement came up that there was a fugitive in town from Warrior's peak hiding out in Mobilis. Aurora was shocked they were calling her a fugitive, it wasn't like she was committing a crime but she guess it showed the lengths they would go to capture her. She regretted choosing warrior's peak to run to when the monster had chased her, she regretted taking up residence with the Ambroses, if she had known they had connections with the monster, she would have run sooner.

She peeped out of her hideout only to see her pictures on every street wall in her line of sight. The Ambroses must be very influential, she thought. She had run from the only home she had known when she was quite young, she had no idea who the world's power or influential people were or how politics worked in the real life. She had been cooped up in her home all her life and then the Ambroses' attic once she had arrived at Warrior's peak. They hadn't forbidden her from going out but fear had kept her up in the attic on most days.
Now, she regretted not learning more about her hosts. They must be very influential if they were capable of locking down an entire city because they were looking for her. Either that or she underestimated the threat her parents said was on her life. She didn't think Acacius was that powerful; if he was, he would have found her sooner but he didn't.
She peeped out of her hiding place and saw that patrolling guards were everywhere checking every woman who could fit her description. She tried to shift but she couldn't, she was exhausted already. She went back in, sat down, and thought of ways she could escape this place. There was no question, she had to leave as quickly as possible. Now that they knew she was here, it would be much more difficult to escape them. She wondered if she should just stay put and hope they would give up the search. No, that wouldn't work, she told herself, they won't come this far just to give her up, they put an entire city on lockdown, no, they won't give up, they fully intended to capture her.
By the time the sun set, Aurora's mind was made up. She gathered all she would need, put on her disguise, and headed out. She looked around her hideout for the last time, appreciating the peace and shelter it had given her for the past few weeks and knowing that by the end of the night, she would either be at the mercies of her captors or she would be free at last. She was tired of running, it was the only thing she was consistently doing all her life. This was it; a new beginning or the end of the road. With that in mind, she headed out.
