Written When? 10th Grade
Darkness hung over a dying Kalos region. A great battle took place deep within the forest. It was against Bryony of Team Flare and the Champion of the Hoenn region, a young man named Steven Stone. His partner was Metagross, a Shiny Metagross, and Bryony's partner was Bisharp. Steven was told to come to the Kalos region after Professor Sycamore said that Alain had returned to Lumiose City, in fear he wouldn't be able to save Mairin's Chespin, Chespie, and that an evil force, Team Flare, was loose in the region and destroying it. He also heard that they had captured the legendary Z and were using its power to help destroy the region. It was up to Steven to figure out where they were hiding it.
Holding out his hand, he ordered, "Metagross, use Flash Cannon!"
Metagross opened its mouth and shot the attack towards Bisharp.
It waited for its trainer's orders.
"Bisharp," yelled Bryony, "use Hyper Beam! We will not let this man get in our way!"
Bisharp nodded with agreement and leaped into the air. It opened its mouth, and a great beam of light shot out of it. It collided into Metagross's Flash Cannon and caused a huge explosion. Hyper Beam had always been a very powerful attack.
A blast of wind rushed through the area.
Steven closed his eyes against it.
Both Metagross and Bisharp slid back, but they still stood.
When the wind died down and Steven was able to open his eyes again, he glanced at Bryony's eyewear and said, "Hm, you're definitely no pushover, Bryony. All right, Metagross, are you ready?"
Metagross peered back to him and nodded.
"Huh?" asked Bryony.
It was time for Steven Stone to Mega Evolve Metagross! He pulled his key stone off his collar and brought it to his lips, announcing, "Metagross, we will work together to force the location of Z out of her! Mega Evolve!"
His key stone, as well as Metagross's, glowed up, and the Pokémon roared. Its entire body glowed up.
Steven watched as its four legs turned into four arms with claws.
Bryony just gasped. She couldn't believe what she was watching.
Once Shiny Metagross's metamorphosis finished, it was even more awesome than it already was. It floated, had four arms, and roared again.
"What?" Bryony asked, shocked. "How is this even possible?"
Fire burned in Steven's eyes. "Mega Metagross, use Hyper Beam!" he shouted.
Metagross mimicked Bisharp's Hyper Beam.
Hyper Beam smacked it and threw it back. "Sharp!" shouted the Pokémon.
"Bisharp!" yelled Bryony.

"Now, use Flash Cannon!" Steven shouted.
Bryony gasped and yelled, "No! Bisharp, Iron Head!"
Bisharp had been slowed down by the Hyper Beam, but it hadn't been defeated. It still had enough strength for Iron Head. Head glowing up, it charged towards Mega Metagross. Along the way, it dodged its Flash Cannon. Bisharp was very fast.
Steven prepared to yell another attack, but just before he could, from out of nowhere, a roar came from the sky. Both he and Bryony gasped, peering up to it.
Also hearing it, Metagross and Bisharp stopped fighting. They, too, looked into the sky.
"What's that?" Bryony asked.
Steven squinted and continued to study the sky. He saw something, and fear flashed across his face. He saw a great figure, a shadow, high in the sky. Steven gasped again. That figure had to be a Pokémon. Whatever it was, it was not happy. Now, how did Steven know that? Well, he heard its roar, and it didn't take long for him to recognize the Pokémon's cry.
The young man gasped and turned on his heel. "Run!" he shouted at Bryony.
"Huh?" she asked.
It happened so fast! From the sky, random, powerful meteors started to fall. It was Draco Meteor!
The attack proved to Steven what he and Bryony were dealing with. "Run!" he shouted again, diving towards Metagross. "Metagross!"
A meteor crashed next to him. Steven yelled and closed his eyes. Searing pain engulfed his shoulder. He reached for it. The blast was so strong that both he and Metagross were thrown back.
Bryony and Bisharp were, too. It was amazing the amount of power concealed in just one Draco Meteor. Whatever had launched it was a very powerful Pokémon.
To protect its trainer, Metagross wrapped its arms around Steven. It crashed into a hill and started to roll down it.
Draco Meteor destroyed everything it touched: the trees, grass, flowers, etc.
Mega Metagross and its young trainer continued to roll down the hill. When they finally reached the bottom, they crashed, and Steven was thrown from his Pokémon. He crashed into a tree and yelled. Landing on his side, he immediately lost consciousness. Mega Metagross did, too. It glowed up and returned to its unevolved form.
Soon, Draco Meteor ended, but it left a great section of the forest destroyed. Downed trees were everywhere.
Bryony, who had taken refuge in a small cave with Bisharp, soon emerged from it, unhurt but exhausted, and she peered into the sky where the figure still hovered.
Before long, it roared and disappeared from sight.
Bryony had to report this. She had to report the attack and Steven. Reaching her hand into her pocket, she pulled out her Holo Caster and called her boss, Lysandre. "Lysandre, sir, I have some news for you. I think I found a Pokémon even stronger than Z! However, our plans are being foiled by a man named Steven."

"Steven?" Lysandre asked her on the other line of the Holo Caster. A holographic image of Steven's face appeared over it. "Oh no, not him again! All right, Bryony, I'm going to see if I can get in touch with Alain. Until then, make sure Steven doesn't get any closer to Lysandre Labs and Z."
"Yes, sir." Bryony clicked off and slipped the Holo Caster back into her pocket. Returning Bisharp to its ball, she examined the bombarded forest and smirked. "Such power. With power like that,–" She placed her hand on her hip, "Team Flare will be unstoppable." Just like that, she started to laugh an evil laugh.
Theme Song:
I stand tall 'cause I know I'm a winner
Knock me down; I'll just get up again
You've met your match, yeah, I'm no beginner

Gotta catch 'em all!
I stand tall 'cause I know I'm a winner

"Truthful Telling of Bonnie and Squishy"
"Yahoo!" the voice of Bonnie, Gym Leader Clemont's little sister yelled, as she leaped into a lake with her bathing suit on. After attending the Kalos League, she, Ash Ketchum, Clemont, and Serena were on their way back to Lumiose City to see Professor Sycamore and Alain. Professor Sycamore had discovered some new things about Mega Evolution, and he wanted to share them with Ash and his friends. On their way back, they stumbled upon a beautiful lake in the middle of the forest, and they decided to stay there for the night.
The time was late afternoon. Clemont was making dinner, Ash was training for the Alola region, and Serena was practicing her dancing moves with Sylveon and Pancham.
Bonnie's Pokémon, Dedenne and the mysterious Squishy, sat on a rock and watched as she swam around. Dedenne was a cute, hamster-like, Fairy, Electric type Pokémon, and Squishy was unknown. There was no data about it in the Pokédex. It was a green blob that had only one eye, a tail it hopped around on, and a red gem in its tummy.
Squishy was actually a very powerful Pokémon. Its partner, Z2, had been captured by Team Flare, so it hoped that once Ash and his friends made it to Lumiose City, it could break into Lysandre Labs, where they kept it, and rescue it. After all, that's what friends were for.
The forest was so peaceful. It was almost like nothing bad had happened to it. It was the same forest the Draco Meteor destroyed a giant chunk of.
Speaking of which, in the forest,–Ash and his friends didn't know it–but a large, Steel-type Pokémon scurried around and searched the area. It was Steven's Shiny Metagross. It had woken up, but Steven hadn't, so Steven wasn't with it. He had been out for almost twenty-four hours.
Metagross may have been a big Pokémon, but it did have feelings. It was very worried about its trainer. It had to find some help.
Continuing to worry, Metagross crawled around and called for help. It neared the lake where Ash and his friends hung out.
At the lake, Bonnie, who still swam, ducked her head underwater and playfully watched the Pokémon. All kinds of Water-types swam around in it. Bonnie loved it. There was Goldeen, Magikarp, Feebas, etc. The lake was so clear, so beautiful, Bonnie wanted to stay in it forever. When she ran out of air, she swam to the surface and poked her head out to the forest. Laughing, the little girl lifted her hands and yelled, "I want to stay here forever!"
Clemont, Serena, and Ash heard her. They glanced at her and smiled.
Bonnie laughed some more.
From the rock where Dedenne and Squishy sat, Squishy suddenly felt they were being watched, and it made a small sound. Something was wrong. Squishy felt it. Remember, it was a very powerful Pokémon. Turning on the rock, its eye landed on the forest.
There was Metagross. It stood in the shadows and stared desperately at Squishy.
By that point, Squishy immediately knew something was wrong. Determined, it narrowed its eye and hopped down from the rock, starting to hop in the direction of Metagross.
"Ne?" Dedenne asked. It, too, turned in the direction of Metagross. "Ne!" Hopping down from the rock, it went after Squishy.
Bonnie saw them leaving and yelled, "Hey, Dedenne! Squishy! Where are you guys going?"
Ash, Clemont, and Serena turned towards her again.
Bonnie couldn't just let her Pokémon go off on their own. She had to chase after them! Swimming into shore, she climbed out of the lake and chased after Dedenne and Squishy.
"Bonnie, wait!" Clemont yelled.
Hearing him, Bonnie stopped and turned. "But Squishy and Dedenne! I can't just let them go off on their own! Please let me go, Big Brother!"

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
