《Suffocate My love》Chapter 33

"Valian, what's the matter",he walked into the room high paced. He spotted three wolves who were mumbling to one another right in front of the throne
The moment he stepped inside he could smell the blood traces that hung in the air but they were so faint, almost like someone had a nosebleed five days ago.Joln heard humans cursing agressively outside and within a split second the vulgar exchange erupted to sword fighting..
The dogs immediately arrested their conversation when they heard him calling for Valian and him walking close to them. Consequently they instantly turned around and acknowledged his presence in the room.
The three wolves in the room were quite strong about nearly the same height as Joln but they were obvious of lower rank to him.
Be that as it may, he looked to them because he doesn't seem to understand what is going.
They saluted him and one wolf explained that Valian went outside to the fighting that originated out of the blue...
As he was still explaining ,the fighting that was dominant a few seconds ago was then followed by people in the middle of town somewhere screaming deafingly..As Joln tried to process what was going on, he subconsciously walked over the boarder of the room to have a close inspection of what is going on outside.
"Is this what caused you concern?"asked Joln whilst pointing outside. His expression was slightly confusing. He is making it sound like the wolves shouldn't be worried because the land and commotion isn't on their territory. However the possibility that the thing that had injured some wolves is the very culprit here should make them alert.
The wolf to the left of the two responded 'yes and no'. Yes because the commotion outside originated literally from nowhere. Houses are burning, humans have died and soldiers are injured while some are crippled for life. This scenario was like someone opened a box and let out a tornado.. Naturally this would have been ignored for humans to deal with but what we found was rather far more disturbing
"Disturbing how" , comanded Joln.
The wolf standing in the middle had his arms crossed behind his back, looked at his comrades. He concluded that none of them dare talk so he outstreched his hand slowly and with his outstretched finger, he pointed that the sky.

Joln followed his finger and what he saw is trully unique..
He wrinkled his forehead as he really could not believe the story his eyes are conveying to him. A fusion of amazement , fear and bewilderment was commencing to surge with him..
How on earth did they miss this. How on earth is they even possible to materialise. With over eight wolves on the ground and none detected this at all .
Logic can't even become to reason this at all.
He gawked at the ceiling and never in the years that he has existed was he prepared to see what his eyes are showing him.Had it been a different scenario, he would think he had drank a whole bottle of thirty years old wine..
Why did they not see or detect this . Even at this point, he is still doesn't feel anything. That is evident because even when he got in the room he wasn't inclined to look up. All he felt were traces of blood
Joln lowered his eyes from the roof and slowly looked at his comrades.
They looked at him and acknowledged the way he is shocked..
"We think it has something to do with what is happening outside", commented the wolf that hadn't been talking all the while.
He exhaled a little and just then, a explosion set out in the western side of the palace. By the sound of the screaming people, it must be a house..
All the wolves looked outside. The first thing they all noticed was Valian fighting with a few smoke creatures alongside Navil, who was wielding Syin s flaming sword.
It was weird that Valian was managing to kill those smoke creatures with his Shuriken that wasn't on fire yet they were still exploding the same as they did when Ryle slashed them with the ignited sword.
As they were watching the suspiciously fruitful battle, three palace guards raced past the meeting room entry that the canines were in.
Joln immediately turned around and ran out of the room. The three looked at one another before they decided to follow him as well
*****
Orl moved his eyelids and his eyes looked from left to right whilst being closed.

The loudness from outside was undeniable at this point because just like the wolves the people had literally just grown realisation to the setup around them. They had every right to cause a commotion. And to rub salt on to already deep wounds, every once something explodes after a large plume of black smoke lauches for the sky.At other times the smoke doesn't give a warning.
The last explosion was quite loud and the congestion in the air was starting to make it hard to breathe...
He turned his head from the side and parted his eyelids.
He was lying on his side of the floor.
Orl got his upper body up from the floor and he assumed sitting position. He looked around the room and noticed that the balcony doors and the windows were open and it was already morning.
As he was in that position,he diverted his attention from the chaos outside and he looked over to the bed
He crawled over slowly and when he was near, the body of the king was not in view, he immediately stopped moving. He peeked over to affirm his guess. He was right
The bedridden leader was absent from the bed.He immediately stopped gawking at the bed and started looking around the room.
He was getting a little worried where he could be
"Your highness, where are you?", he questioned softly with the emeptyness being his audience.
As his eyes were searching pitifully and getting abnormally scared , Nayr stepped calmly into the room from the balcony. He must have been woken by the noise and went to see the disorder germinating.
Orl sighed with relief and stood up by reflex to give Nayr a ceremonious bow.He even smiled as he saw Nayr walking in. It's not a sure sign that he has recovered but it shows progress
As he elevated from the nod, he extended his vision to the figure standing a few feet from the table at the center of the room . He saw that he was still the same outline of Youden as he had seen before but this time his ugly veins were not as bulfed as they were a while ago. That doesnt mean they were inexistent. Moreover his skin was still pale and looked as it did a while ago.
Orl also noticed that Nayr had done a sloppy job tying the undergarment cloth because part of his pale chest s veins were showing.
It felt wrong and laborious to overlook him in this state.Which is why as he was still inspecting his condition , Orl walked closer to the table and next to the king.
He hesitated at first but he then just swallowed his pride. He was standing three feet from him and he closed the distance by half . They were standing directly inront of each other. He reached for the bad tied knot and undid it.Nayr didn't stop him or react at all. That's what anyone would do but not today. For some reason it's like he was comfortable with Orl undressing him!
The strips fell to the side and exposed his chest just a little. He used his hands to gently peel the overlaying of the coat , completely showing Nayr s skin to the air.Now more than ever the veins evident. He looked at the surging and pulsations and obviously that made it feel like he was watching a trail of black ants under his skin.
Nayr didn't understand what was going because he is like a puppet right now.He just looked at Orl who was staring at his pale, soft, delicate skin.
Consequently he thought that Orl was paralysed and he reached for the strips.
Seeing the motion of Nayr s hands broke Orl from his trance and he immediately counteracted him and started to close the cloth properly.Nayr handed him the strips and he raised his eyes to meet Nayr who was looking down making him freeze. Because of his paralysis, Nayr raised his eyes from the strips and he looked at Orl who was already staring back.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
