《Smiling Chaos》Chapter 8

"Woonwoo, just shut up for a minute", declared Jang as he was getting feed up by Woonwoo s feeble valiancy..As soon as Woonwoo heard he became overpowered by shame, instantly shut his mouth.
"I thought you were going to jump",He uttered this clearly embarrassed by his low level of thinking..
"What are you looking for anyway", questioned Woonwoo whilst still deeming at Jang..He wasn't for a second in need to gyrate from where he was standing because Jang is as unpredictable at the tides of the sea..
Jang completely ignored him and went on seeking. He went along the length of the ledge but finally gave up.He placed his hands on the ledge and exhaled heavily. He ran his hand through his hair and ruffled it.He hit the ledge with his fiat and swiveled away.He passed right next Wonwoo without a word.
Woonwoo watched him as he pronated away...He disappeared just as he came..
Woonwoo walked over to the ledge to check for what Jang was seeking. That was when he first noticed the smashed up computers on the ground, however he didn't seem surprised.
He scoffed then smiled slyly and replaced his headphones and blared the music..He danced softly with no rthymn whatsoever.
'Sejun University', he said this and smiled cunningly. He took out a cord from his pocket and swung it in the air.At the end of this cord was a bottle shaped USB drive!!
"An eye from an eye Jang, you know that, in fact it's your words.Am just following your rules",He said to himself whilst looking at the closed door.He scoffed once more and replaced the drive back in his pocket. He went back to sit down and enjoyed his music. He felt satisfied with himself.

"Okay, I will definitely be protecting you.. Don't worry about it.Look I have to go.Focus in getting here ok? ", reassured Son MinGi.He rolled his eyes playfully as he said this but he nonetheless smiled. He hung up the phone when he heard a knock on the door.
"Come in", replied MinGi..His wondered who could be knocking on his door at a time when they are supposed to be at the assembly..He waited for a few seconds before he repeated his sentence once more.He pushed up the glasses that where sitting at the bridge of his nose.

He stood up from behind the chair and walked to the door.He hesitated but nonetheless pulled down the lever of the door down.Much to his astonishment as MinGi opened the door there was no one outside. He swept his eyes from left to right but there was not a soul in the corridor. He wrinkled his forehead and proceeded to arch his eyebrows. He was about to close the door when he noticed a decorative box on the floor. The oblong object was like a present. It had a reflective blood reb ribbon and a pure white finish. Its size was large enough to accomodate an A5 notebook leaving no space for even air.Its height was 15 to 20 cm long..He bent over to pick it up..As soon as he held it in his embrace he swiveled around to go back in the room but then a person emerged up of nowhere alerting him to turn his gaze back.
He could not identity who the student was but he looked quite familiar.MinGi just arched his eyebrows at the figure whilst by the door. The figure placed his hand on his on own neck and massaged it. He appeared quite nervous but still very lookable..
"Can I help you?",MinGi thawed the ice that was solidifying between them.He was feeling slightly uncomfortable which is strange because he is used to students especially female students walking over to him and not saying anything. He tried to keep his cool but he must admit that that is proving rather a hassle. He just looked at the student and then feeling the daggers MinGi was staring at him ,the student managed to open his mouth.
"Uhhm..no.. actually yes..Gosh!(he felt stupid)..I was wondering if you could",the student was literally running out of words to say and the friction he caused by rubbing his neck so agreesively was starting to sting. He really did not think this through. He repositioned his hand to his earlobe and continued to talk..
"Can you tell me.." At this moment he was sure he was making a fool out of himself. And the way in which MinGi was looking at him so patiently was wrecking his nerves beyond repair.'Could this man stop looking at me like that.He is making me feel strange' he argued this in his head

MinGi scoffed and continued to smile. It was so instanteous almost as if by reflex yet it was utterly purposeless. The student thought he could hear his thoughts.MinGi was even more confused by the way he scoffed as it sounded like he was a shy teenage girl. Both of them were startled by this.
'why am I smiling?'
..'why is he smiling?'
MinGi scratched his throat looked back the student. The student also looked at him. They locked gazes for a few seconds before he felt his ear get hot.Is it because of the rubbing? 'my ears are turning red', he thought to himself and he closed his eyes for a few seconds.MinGi shifted his head to look at the student but was scared back were the student burst out
"Am having trouble logging in .Could you help?" as he said this he noticed that MinGi suddenly moved his head .Was he looking at me? He shook his head to brush out whatever his mind is trying to say
MinGi steeped backwards and went into the room.He placed the box on the corner of the table and went over to the chair. The student walked in and closed the door behind himself..While facing the door he placed his hands on both his ears and they were really hot.
"What are you doing? Come here"
"Sure" he responded and turned to face the man sitting behind the table. He walked over to the table. There were a lot of computers in this room, about eight an one large computer. All the other computers were circling the main computer which is actually the school server. Not everyone is allowed into this room but the fact that this student managed to pass the assement of Ms Bae by the reception then his complaint must be legit.
MinGi started to hit several keys in the computer and keep his eyes on the monitor..The student eyed the box on the table and moved closer to it.All the time MinGi s eyes where on the monitor. The student moved closer to the box and managed to open the lid.He removed a USB drive and a metal ball from his pocket and shifted even closer to the box so as to hide his act from MinGi.
"What's your student id",asked MinGi taking his eyes off the computer then on the student only to momentarily revert them.
The student got statled but he kept his cool and responded . He noticed that MinGi was avoiding looking at him.He ignored this except that it stung him a little. He observed that MinGi had focused on the computer and that's when he slipped the drive inside the box after pressing a tiny button on it..
"Jeon Jungkook?",asked MinGi
"Yep , that's me", replied Jungkook.Still again MinGi was avoiding looking at him.He exhaled softly and crossed his arms behind himself and purposefully dropped the metal object. The circular object rolled away as if by command.Within seconds the object was nowhere to be found on the floor.Jungkook eyed this through the corner of his eye as he had turned to face MinGi.
"You are connected. You can try to login again after two hours",replied MinGi.
Jungkook nodded his head, noticing that MinGi now more than ever trying not to look at him.He felt a little bit affected by this but anyway he headed towards the door and uncrossed his arms behind himself. He opened the door and exited. After he closed the door, he stared at the wooden panel. A tiny bit of his soul felt somewhat guilt..
A buzz from his phone woke him from his temporary state of mind.Jungkook took out the phone and the message on the screen made him feel even more indifferent.
"Good job.Meet me outside"

Trickster's Tale
Be careful when demanding reparations from gods. They rarely own up to their mistakes. Due to a goddess's shortsighted error, Perry finds himself transported to a distant Universe with new proportions and a different identity. Instead of cowering before the deity, he demands she opens a portal home or provides reparations for him and his bereaved family. Unfortunately, standing up for himself doesn't earn Perry respect. Instead, she curses him with cowardice, limiting his combat and magical potential. Little does the goddess know that nothing can stand in the way of Perry's sheer will. If brute strength and arcane might won't get him the justice he desires, wit and creativity will. Perry's first target? A goblin shaman. Then, the world. And so begins, the bard's ballad. Trickster's Tale (Book 1): Is That A Lute In Your Pocket will release on Kindle Unlimited on the 10th of May.Due to KU's exclusivity rules, I've had to take most of book 1 down.Book 1 Bard's Ballad takes place in the same extended Universe as my other story, The Houndsman. It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.
