《Smiling Chaos》Chapter 23

Jung stopped running as soon as he was out of the gate of the park.He bent over to catch his breath and he laughed softly before looking back.
He laughed once again and he speed off into the night..As he navigated through the streets he kept almost colliding onto people because he kept on looking behind him and laughing to himself.. The Black coat that he hand on top dragged in the air behind and slight hints of dark-chocolate enclosed its perimeter. At one point he thought that San was eating chocolates on top of it but he didn't entertain that thought too much because all he wants to do is flee
Ten minutes later he was near the school premises. His forehead just had streaks of sweat because the coldness didn't let him overheat enough . Nonetheless a slight temperature change was evident otherwise why would his curls adhere to his temple.
He kept running and running because he has gained so much momentum plus he was having fun running like a headless chicken. For some reason he thinks it's quite enjoyable being chased by 'Batman'.
He stormed into the school grounds and he headed towards his dormitory that was a about hundred meters from where he currently is right now.
He navigated towards the corridors that were serpentine and joined to one another occasionally.
There is no shorter way he can reach his dormitory without passing by the admin block so he has to run past that...
He passed in front of the large block, turned by its corner almost as if going behind it..
He felt the need to look behind him to check what his mind was signalling to him and he submitted to that urge
He kept running whilst he looked behind and all that followed was a dark night , he was confident that he had lost his pursuer, that is if he actually existed
As he turned his eyes back to look where he was running, Jung collided onto a large soft surface that reflected him backwards.
He felt himself lose stability and was sure that he was going to fall down but before he could fell the coldness of the pavement on his body, he felt something grasp firmly onto his forearm then pull him up ..

He turned his eyes to the Identity the being that was supporting him but that proved to be a hassle
He could not see exactly who it was because the figure had buried its face down plus the street pole light was shining so brightly behind the figure.
Jung felt strange and as such he shrugged his arm free and lowered it so that it lies parallel to his thighs. The figure responded by lowering it's arm as well. Its grasp on Jung was not that strong so not much force was required for Jung to be set free. Simultaneously he bowed respectfully to give his thanks and he steeped to the side and he walked away
"You dropped something",the figure commented making Jung immediately turn around. Consecutively he proceeded to place his hands on his pockets to check. He is sure that he had went to meet San with his pockets being empty. So what could he possibly have lost.Maybe it must be from San s jacket..
Jung looked to the ground and unconsciously steeped towards the figure but even though he was looking down, even though his vision was focused elsewhere he manged to see that an object was being held out to him...
He slowly raised his eyes from the ground and they landed on a white box..
Jung felt the ground beneath his feet get soft making it hard for him to stand still. His eyes followed the hand holding the box and went from the arm, shoulder, chin, lower lip , upper lip ,nose...
Before he could look at his eyes , he could already guess who this was
Even though he hadn't seen him in a really long time , his face was forever painted in Jung s memory..He thought of him a lot almost everyday, he even contemplated going to his office but he hesitated because he could not think of a reason that would not seem too ididotic when he presented it.And just a few moments ago he was thinking of him..and here he is ..Never did he imagine that they would meet ever again
"Take it",MinGi said to Jung breaking the silence between them..He raised his eyes to look at Jung and at that time he found Jung already looking at him so sweetly. He moved his eyes away from the angel Infront of him..

Jung raised both his hands slowly and reached for the box.As he held the box, MinGi let go and quickly he turned and walked away heading towards his Mercedes that was the only vehicle in this spacious parking lot
Jung was a bit upset that their encounter was short lived..He wished that they had talked for a long time . However that feeling was one-sided as MinGi wished they had never met at all..
He just kept his gaze lowered and looked at the box.
MinGi got in the car and he sat down on the leather seat.He laid his head on the headrest because it felt heavy and continued to close his eyes.He placed his bag on the passenger seat and took a dive in his array of thougts.
The beautiful face that had been haunting him for days just appeared like a fairy out of nowhere.Fate must be playing games with him because they met by chance ,just like the first time. What he prides himself is that he had the courage to hand Jung the box back.He also noticed that he looked very upset that the box was returned to him..
For just a moment , MinGi wishes he had handed him the ....
Wait which box did he give him??
MinGi shot his eyes open and he reached for his laptop bag .He placed it on his laps and reached inside..
His hand investigated the bottom of the bag and he didn't touch anything.Reality of his carelessness slapped him across the face.
At that instant he threw the bag on the passenger seat once more and he opened the door then shot out of the car.
He left the door open and speed off to the place where he had left Jung standing but he didn't find anything at all..All that surrounded was the cold night and an empty parking lot with a cold midnight breeze
He placed his right hand on his waist and a few seconds later and he placed his left hand on his waist. He went ahead and wiped off non-existent sweat off his brows and kicked the ground slightly whilst scanning for Jung.He could go chasing in the dark but where would he start,He didn't look where Jung had headed. MinGi surrendered to defeat before turning around and heading for his car.
As he walked towards the car,MinGi heard a Pebble crack under a shoe just a few meters into the shaded part of this perimeter. He felt his paranoia get the best.He stopped walking and glared at the dark corner that Jung had emerged from.
He stared at the dark like he was looking at something or better yet hoping that something would emerge at this moment in time..
And he was right, his mind wasnt tricking him.The boy that had had a conversation with Jung at the park was standing there right now and had watched this entire scene..He had indeed followed Jung all the way here because he was afraid that something might happen to him.But as he was about to turn into the parking lot , his eyes met Jung bowing to MinGi.This caused him to come to a momentary stop and just be the looker in the dark..
What had made him clench his first was seeing MinGi reach Inside his bag . he thought MinGi was trying to find a weapon to harm Jung.. He was about to step into the scene when saw that it was a gift..
He didn't unclench his fist but as MinGi now looked at him, his knuckles looked like they would tear out of his skin...
His eyes then turned a little and looked at the car in the parking lot..He smiled cunningly to himself and that's when he finally uncleched his fists..His smile was full of malice and destruction to the point that would've been enough to torment any audience.
MinGi exhaled a little and turned away . He thought his mind was getting the best of him and he shouldn't be wondering in the dark.
He walked towards his car and got inside.. A few seconds later the car reversed out of the parking lot and drove away..

The Crisis on Planet 9
Welcome to the dream colony Planet 9, where the streets are stained by blood and the buildings are filled with human remains. The creatures roaming among the abandoned cars and flying vehicles resemble almost to perfection the mindless cannibalistic zombies born from the fictional nightmares of mankind. The cities were built in the retro style of the 21st century, but the technology of the 24th century is ever present, mostly within the bodies of those mortally challenged monstrosities. After all, what turned them into these things was not an evolved organic virus, an alien disease, or some sort of magical artifact, it was the corrupted and reprogrammed nanobots within their bodies. Originally, they were meant to heal them and help them access the tech around them, but now they were the origin of this disaster. Among the rotting dead and the Nano-Z, as the survivors called them, Kardian Pandora awakens two months after getting bit by one of them. A young teacher at the local Resonance High, foolish and naive in his own way, but now driven by the Sapient AI in the nanobots inside his body to hunt down other Nano-Z and learn how to survive. For now, his only goal is to become strong enough and rejoin his students and fellow colleagues, foolishly hoping to somehow be able to get back to the time when the undead did not rule the streets. Will Kardian be able to survive in this new savage world or will his naive outlook lead him to a dead end? Volume 1 can be bought on Amazon: Resonance High
