First Excerpt: "Birth of the Primordials", “The Fifth”
Other moniker/s: "Them", “The Four”, "The Square in the Circle”.
A long time ago, Space had ruptured and broken off into countless, boundless plateaus seething with Spiritual Energy. The Planes of Existence.
That was how, amidst an uncountable amount of similarly vast lands, the grandest plane with the True Earth and the True Heaven came to be.
Each of the innumerable Planes held its own Earth and Heaven, strictly followed the laws and regulations written in the Qi, and were rich in Spiritual Energy. However, differentiating itself from many others, there was only one Plane that held a Heaven capable of birthing life.
And it was right there in that Heaven, the True Heaven, that the first Beasts were born.
They were the first generation of existences, born straight from the energy of the primordial sky and its Spiritual Energy. These olden ones, as the forefathers of all life, named themselves the Primordial Beasts!
Amongst many Primordial Beasts, four stood out amongst the rest, each incarnation of a grand Dao: whether it be their might or their status, none was above them. Simply put, they were to Primordial Beasts what gods would be amongst mortals.
Starting from four opposing corners of Creation, they conquered their way to its centre, where they met and found themselves to be equals: instead of fighting, as the pinnacle beings of the world, they acknowledged each others' hegemony over their territories.
Each became a monarch of their portion of True Heaven, and the four gathered into a single power ruling over existence: the Heavenly Realm came to be!
Thus, as overlords of an era, they became the Primordial Emperors.
Even then though, Conflict did not end. Slaughter persisted, as countless factions formed beneath them: some rose one day just to be slaughtered the next, in a manner that showed no signs of stopping. A vicious cycle that only sought to birth itself, a wave that drowned all but those at its crest.

Witnessing the first and foremost law of Nature, the Four eventually grew to reject and despise it.
The Emperors grew tired of mundane matters and were disgusted by the never-ending struggles for power. They left the world and disappeared from the Heavenly Realm. The other Primordial Beasts took this as tacit approval for an all-out conflict and this led to the largest scale war that would bathe the Heavens in the golden blood of the forefathers.
The Endless Slaughter!

A summer bug once experienced the disaster of torrential rains. Ah, it grieved, how I envy the maples. And how evil this world is! The oaks, the pines, and the spruces. Their roots hold steadfast, while their branches sway in the winds and seldom snap!
A cypress heard its plea, watching as the summer bug struggled to wash ashore. It snapped back, teaching the drowning bug of the catastrophic landslides, of the droughts that silently reaped, and of the ruinous lightning strikes that wasted as they roared. If anything, it argued, it should wish a life as a mountain deity.
Unbeknownst to them, the howling winds carried the voices of the summer bug and the cypress. At the mountaintop, its elusive god lay on His side, as He bled profusely. While golden ichor spilt from the grievous wounds, he secretly envied the trees and the summer bugs who knew nothing of the world. He loathed how He, who had defended and cared for all beings of the mountain, was to become but dust alongside them. He abhorred the meaninglessness of the world that distinguished not between a summer bug, and a primordial god.
In his rage, the winds picked up and a deluge swept the mountainside.
The summer bug that had just taken shelter underneath some foliage was washed away.

The cypress, too, was singed by lightning. Its trunk snapped in half, its insides charred black, still steaming.
The tiger god at the mountain peak growled His last. So unwilling he was to be reduced to mere dust, that He encased himself, and the peak of verdant trees, in perennial ice.
A lone being witnessed it all happen. He silently judged and condemned. He travelled and wandered, taking in the selfishness of all beings in the face of Nature's apathy. And unbeknownst to him, a world lacking Justice scrutinised him back.
That night, the Gates of an Underworld chose their Justice.
The Eyes of Yama came to the solitary existence that weighed the summer bugs and the mountain deity on the same scales. A secret path opened up, only visible to him. Like so, he was guided to the Underworld, where its Gates, and throne, awaited him.
[Redacted] thus became King of Hell. From that moment onward, his very existence was elevated, making him one of the most feared Primordials of all Planes.
The demon has since settled in the Underworld, where all souls pool after meeting their demise. He seldom threaded outside his realm, spending his time scrutinizing those who'd reach its Gates and presiding over the cycle of life and death.
From the very start, he firmly refuted the moniker Emperor, but all agree that if there was ever anyone who had come close to the Four, it'd have to be the lone Fifth that governs over death.

Almave
Welcome to AlmaVé. First thing you have to know is that it's a tragedy. Nope, not talking about my book yet. It's a tragedy that you're reading this instead of clicking on chapter 1. I did fail speech introductions after all. My story? Right that's what you're here for. My bad, try this: Lilia Hammond is reborn (cliché, but we all know we enjoy it when it's done for a purpose) as Syndra Sanmey. She was a graphic designer who hadn't caught her break yet. She was paralyzed for months before she was offered the opportunity to join a program that would allow her to-NOPE! not virtual reality. The doctors killed her and dumped her body. Tough. In her new world, Lilia has to fight herself to find out who she truly is. With the possibility to cast magic and a second chance at life, Lilia thinks she can really make something for herself. Her goal? Become the greatest artist the world had ever seen. The rub? World is a bit darker than anything she saw on earth. Thankfully, Lilia is getting quite familiar with the darkness inside her and her magic might just be the thing to save the-hey! wait it's not that kind of book. No saving the world. No hero syndrome. Just magic and blood and a bit of crafting. Yup. Fighting. Romance? Eh? What's that? The first arc is Lilia's shift from Earth to creating backstories for the three major characters. It's not funny and light. It's often dark and funny. Ah, I really should have gone through a punk-rock phase. Or goth. Would I look good with black hair? Hmm.. There are three MCs and they are Jackson, Daryl, and Lilia/Syndra. Daryl is currently kidnapped and Jackson just awakened his magic. I don't want to spoil (much) but soon things will be very fun to write. Hope to see you there! Leave a comment even if you're just stopping by so I can say hey! Chapters to be published twice weekly. The Errant Otherworlder Watanabe
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and trucks whom transport men to other worlds.” Meet our titular protagonist Haruto Watanabe, a man who has all the markings of a good protagonist for a generic portal fantasy story. As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. I'll be posting one chapter per week on Sundays, along with extra chapters whenever I get the chance to write more than usual.

Enjoy my random adventures with me! If something sparks it for you, feel free to use any content here in your own story - just give source credit like an upright citizen. If I use it in another one of my stories on RR, I’ll credit it in the story and link the story here in the author’s post chapter notes.
