《The Ripper》Agent Michaels

I was at work and today we were doing some demolition work, with my sledge hammer at hand I began to smash my way through walls. Hours soon went by and all I did was smash through the walls, my mind began to wonder and some painful memories and anger began to cloud my mind, taking all my rage on the walls as the memories assaulted my mind.
"We are a family always and forever and no matter what happens I'll always protect you" I promised her
*smash *
The men came rushing in killing our friends and captured us "I'm scared Eric" she said with tears streaming down her cheeks "hey, hey... look at me... It's gonna be okay alright" I said "trust me" I said.
*smash*
We were captured, all of us our family and friends.
*smash*
our parents were dragged out one day and never returned, she screamed day and night. I promised her we would make it through everything.
*smash*
they began their experiments on us.
*smash*
every few days some of us would leave and never return
*smash*
soon we were the only ones left she looked at me her fear clear in her eyes. "hey look at me, we are going to live through this okay then we are going to escape okay...we will go somewhere far away where no one will ever bother us again" she looked at me sobbing "...promise" "promise" "pinky promise". i smiled at her "pinky promise."
*smash*
She was right before me she didn't make it through the experiments like I did "you said everything was gonna be okay Eric...you lied ,you lied, YOU LIED!YOU LIAR!"
*smash*
"YOU LIED TO ME!"
*smash*
*Huff* huff* I was panting, before I had realised I had done more than I was supposed to and everyone was now watching me.

One of the guys approached me "you okay"
Eric:" yeah I'm okay. "
Guy: " you sure?"
Eric: " yeah... just... need to clear my mind."
I dropped the hammer and walked out there as I walked I heard murmurs -well to my hearing they were as though they were speaking right in front of me - " what was that? " "I have no idea mate."
I walked out of the site and went to one of my favourite diners. I was about to order some burgers when surprise surprise I saw Elise.
She soon saw me and invited me over to her table.
Elise: " hey stranger, fancy seeing you here. "
Eric: " yeah this place is my favourite diner I come here everyday."
Elise: " really... "
We spent the whole afternoon talking, it was nice having someone to talk to it enabled me to forget the memories but as always all good things must come to an end.
Elise: " so sorry, but I have to go."
Eric: " oh,okay how about we get together sometime like maybe this Friday."
Elise: " are you asking me out?"
Eric: "yeah... Maybe, if you want to."
Elise: " I would like that."
Eric: "then is a date."
Elise: "it's a date."
She smiled as she walked out. I was happy.
I was about to leave when a guy in a suit sat where Elise just sat.
Guy in suit: " hello Mr. Lycan."
Eric: " who the hell are you? "
Guy in suit: " I'm the guy who is gonna help you, you can call me agent Michaels."
Hearing the word 'agent' I began to release my claws under the table, my eyes began to give of a subtle glow preparing for a battle I assumed was inevitable.

He saw me but ignored it and began to eat a burger which seemed to appear out of no where.
Agent Michaels: "I wouldn't do that, your being monitored by a lot of people. As I said earlier on I am on your side."
After hearing what he said I looked around closely this time and saw a lot of suspicious people in the bar around me.
Retracting my claws I looked at the agent before me who was carefree as though he didn't have a care in the world.
Eric: "how do I know I can trust you?"
Agent Michaels: "you don't. Mmm that's a good burger. Look I know you don't trust the government, I know everyone of your kind doesn't trust us with the war, with X as well as what happened with you and all that but you have to know I am here to help you, a new organisation has been developed Evolutionary Voluntary Officers or E.V.O for short. to help people like you."
Eric:" so you telling me people hunting aren't from the government. "
Agent Micheals: "well... Well they are but we are different look I'll give you some advice, leave town before its too late."
With that he gets up to leave
Agent Michaels:" we will keep in touch m Mr. Lycan. "
After he leaves I sit there for a long time pondering what he just said and at that moment I want nothing more than to punch something. I head to my truck and go straight to my apartment.
Agent Michaels P.O.V
I stood in silence watching him drive of before getting in my car when I sat down.
Valerie: " well that's done. "
Valerie spoke up from beside me. She was the new agent I was assigned to help with this mission.
Agent Michaels: " I doubt it. "
Valerie: " huh why?"
Agent Michaels: " just a feeling. Demis don't really listen . "
I looked out the window at the peaceful town, I keep having this feeling that this quiet town is about to change and something big is going to happen.

The Pugilist
Vincent Roy Salazar has never been your common folk. He climbed any mountain he found in front of him. From a bright young student to an accomplished professor, his life can be described as a continuous race to the top of his chosen fields. Patriarch of a loving family, proud father of three already grown siblings, Roy realizes that his life is the perfect picture of what the average man strives for, and for that he is truly grateful. But happiness is a difficult-to-reach goal, and as he lies in a pool of his own blood, his fist cracked, a young lady crying while cradling his head, he remembers what really gave sense to his youth. Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. What would happen if instead of a moronic idiot, a depressed high schooler, or a wannabe hero the one to get his do-over is a fully grown man that has already seen what life has to offer in full? Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.

Daybreak
In a world of swords, magic, and wonders, Vreil suddenly loses his family to a twist of fate. On his quest to survive, he follows a mysterious wizard, and becomes embroiled in a revolution he knows little of. He cultivates magic, learns to fight with a blade, and meets worthy companions. He grows stronger and more mature, gradually turning from prey into a hunter. And in his journey, Vreil clashes with pirates, immortal jokesters, wolves and, even worse, sheep. Can he use magic, blade and wit to fight them off? Or will he be the one to fall instead? Follow Vreil on his adventures. Witness the dawn of an era. 🧙🧙🧙 This is a story I'd written a few years back, and I figured it's a waste to just let it sit around. Most of it is already written, but I'm going through the chapters and editing the shit out of them. This story is NOT a Lit-RPG, so no blue screens or anything of the sort. It is just fast-paced fiction with slight cultivation elements. Updates are bi-daily (so every 2 days), and chapters are 1500-3000 words. As always, feedback is more than welcome. Why are you still reading the synopsis? You have already decided. Go ahead, give this story a shot. It's worth it.
