"Where… Am I?" Lars asked.
He returned to the room of white once again sitting with the old man.
The old man was still picking up flash cards and examining them and then placing them back down.
"It's time to awake, Axel"
"AXXXXXEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" A women screamed at Lars.
Lars anxiously jumped up in his seat standing at attention as his teacher slammed her ruler onto his desk.
"AHAHAHA" the class roared as his teacher began scolding him.
"You fall asleep in class every day! Do you really think your going to pass the S.P.A exams with an attitude like that!" The woman yelled.
"Where... Am I?" Lars said looking around the classroom.
"What the?"
Lars's mouth dropped in amazement at the scene he had come to. The students who were laughing at him looked nothing like any people he had ever seen.
"Why does everyone have multi neon colored hair?"
They had red, blue, green and purple hair, with eyes the same color, and a certain futuristic look to their attire. There were even some with horns or whiskers! Aligned on the jackets of every student including himself were the letters S.P.A, and from what Lars could see, the words were also on the top of the classroom door and various other places.
"S.P.A" Lars thought "What is that? And What the heck! Is my desk floating! Where is the whiteboard? Why are there holograms everywhere?"
There was no whiteboard, no projector, no computer, but just a set of holographic systems floating around the room. Looking down at his seat he noticed the desk he was sitting at had floating parts! There were no legs on his chair, or supports on the desk, just thin sheets of metal being held up by some sort of electromagnetic force. He was in so much awe he nearly forgot he was in a classroom with a teacher yelling at him.

"Well Axel?" "What do you have to say for yourself?" His teacher said getting impatient.
"Axel?" Lars thought.
Looking down at his holographic pad that was in front of him, he saw the name "Axel" He shuffled through his pockets looking for some sort of school Id badge.
"S.P.A Passcard clearance level Cadet" A badge in his pocket read. Flipping it over, he saw the picture of a blue haired blue eyed teenager. The name "Axel" levitated above the boys head.
"Heh, I knew it! Couldn't be-" As the backside of the ID came into his view. The glossyness of the badge reflected his image back at him for just a moment.
"WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAT!!!!" Lars said jumping out of his seat.
"What the hell are you doing!" His teacher yelled
Lars looked back at his badge not believing what he saw. Checking his holographic notebook he saw the date.
May 18, 2230
"WHHHHAATT!!!!!!" He screamed again
Lars darted out of the room, leaving the room in shock. "Where do you think your going!" His teacher yelled at him.
"Bathroom!" Lars yelled back running down the hall. As a sign for the men's room appeared out of the corner of his eye his ran into the bathroom corridor.
Kicking the door open, Lars ran to go check his face in the mirror. In the mirror he saw the same blue haired boy that had been on his pass card.
"WHHHHATTTTT!" Lars said grabbing his hair.
Unconvinced that what he had seen was real, he began running water through his eyes.
He looked up to check again, finding the same boy.
"Impossible!" He screamed flooding his face with water. Pressing his hand too hard, Lars squirted water all over his clothes, soaking them.

"Damn it!" He yelled. He squeezed his closed tight with his hands wringing the water out of them.
"What the hell!" Lars yelled falling to the floor.
Something amazing had happened. As he was squeezing his clothes, the water had drifted up and floated right off of them! His clothes were completely dry, and the water was floating in midair.
"Is this... my power?" Lars thought.
"What the hell is going on in here!" An old man with a vicious temper yelled striding into the room.
Splash.
Lars completely soaked the man, accidently splashing the floating water all over him.
"I'm so sorry!" Lars said.
The man said nothing, standing on in resolute silence with his clothes drenched in water.
"Shit!" Lars thought "How do I remove water again?"
Lars walked up to the man placing his hands on his clothes.
Splash!
Lars splashed even more water onto the old man.
"Sorry!"
Splash!
Splash!
SPLASH!
In just a few moments Lars had completely drenched the man in water, it was literally dripping from every part of his body at this point.
"Heheh..." Lars said backing away.
The old man finally moved, drawing a large cigar from his pocket. Placing it into his mouth he looked down at Lars scowling at him. In his left hand was a silver piece of putty he had been playing with.
"Look sir... I didn't mean to-"
In an instant The old man threw the putty into the air.
With all the strength in his arm, he punched the putty, sending shockwaves through its surface that made it flow around his arm like a liquid. As his punch traveled, a huge gust of air whisked Lars's head toppling him over from the turbulence.
As the putty coated the old man's arm it bubbled and hissed steam from the friction of his punch radiating an extreme amount of heat. Leaning his cigar forward , the man rubbed it softly on his metallic arm igniting it.
"What the hell is this guy!" Lars thought.
"Kiddd" The old man groaned. As he spoke the entire right side of his arm became the same color of the puddy, turning into some kind of metallic alloy. "I'm gonna knock you into next year!!! Titanticccccc!" He screamed aiming a punch at Lars.
"I've been in this world five minutes and I'm going to die!" Lars thought.
"HAMMMERRRR!!!!"

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

Galduta
What seperates beasts from men isn't the language we speak or any such drivel taught to us in school. It isn't the way we walk or our intelligence that sets us apart. Some would have you believe that it is our ability to think and reason that makes us fundamentally different from the creatures that inhabit the world. That way of thinking, my friends, is entirely wrong. What seperates us from them and them from each other, is simply the skin that we all wear
