《Izuku's Game》Ch 2 - school

Izuku wanted this to be real. really, he did. but after so long of false hopes... Izuku can't trust it... yet. the boy was a being of logic, and this wasn't logical. sure, quirks aren't really logical either, but they've been around long enough for everyone to just accept it... this showed up just now out of nowhere for a quirkless boy.
Yeah, Izuku thinks he might be hallucinating.
After shaking his head and confirming that, no, he is not asleep, he hesitantly thinks the word, "Options"
Options Clock: Y/N Map: Y/N Music: Y/N Language: Japanese < Subtitles: Y/N
Izuku blinked, looking through the options. He flicked the first three on, and a slider appeared for the loudness of the music. Izuku just wanted a quiet background music, so he set it to low. He flicked the subtitles on next and played a little with the language changer. There was English, Chinese, and Japanese. Not many choices, but useful as I could understand and speak the languages, I turned it to. I kept it at Japanese for now.
Izuku then heads to the help section and types in, "Creator of Boku No Hero academia V1" The screen loads for a moment before an answer appears. it said, "Dragoncap2500 has made the game, however the original world was created by Kohei Horikoshi" The boy stared for a moment. Is that the name of God? really? it sounds like a normal person's name though... and who is Dragoncap2500, it sounds kind of like a username for one of my normal games. A dumb one at that.
Izuku massaged his temples, before typing in, "leveling mechanics." if Izuku is going to do this, he's going to do it right.
Once more, the screen loads for a moment before words start popping up. "The quests tab will pop up on your menu when you get your first quest. You must complete quests to level. there are diffrent types of quests, would you like to read about them? Y/N" Izuku quickly types "Yes"

A screen pops up in front of Izuku, briefly surprising him. it appeared to be about quests, so he started reading.
It took the boy five minutes to read, and by then he was interested. This was way to intricate to be a joke or prank, and he was in his home anyway, so who would do that? Izuku shook his head and finally shut off the menu, standing up from his bed and stretching. He could now hear movement downstairs; his mother was probably making breakfast.
Izuku winced as he walked quietly down the stairs. His mother was rarely home anymore, the last time he saw her was two weeks ago... their basically strangers by now. Sure, when he sees her, she's fretting over him and worried, less so when he gave up on his dream, but she also screams at him about his grades and how he's always in his room and, "IZUKU, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO YOUR POOR MOTHER!?" The boy winces. He knows she loves him... but the even the memories of her yelling at him while he was having a panic attack left Izuku's heart racing.
Izuku put on his clothes and slid quietly into the bathroom to do his business. Once he was done, he was left staring at the mirror.
Midoriya Izuku - LV 2
The boy blinked and sighed after staring for a while. Will that appear above everyone?
After the boy believed to be enough stalling, he stepped out of the bathroom and down the stairs. Thankfully, his mother was already gone, her breakfast already eaten and the dishes still on the table for Izuku to clean up. He sighed, walking forward to place the dishes in the sink before he went on to make his own food. he didn't bother to make lunch for school, it'll be taken away or pushed to the ground anyway.

Once the boy walked out of the door, the calming music in his ears turned cheerful as people walked down the street with tags above their head. No one noticed them.
Izuku walked down the street, spamming Analyze on everything he could. He wanted to get that leveled up quickly.
The way to the school didn't take long, but the noise of the city made me wince. it was the morning rush and seeing as there were many people out and about just had me irritated. I didn't want to deal with people today.
I sighed as I turned to walk into the school gates. This place was a shithole. it's disgusting really, the students were future gas station attendants, and the teachers did drugs. I know, it's farfetched, but it's true, I know the signs for some goddamned reason. I know the teachers drop my grade for being quirkless, but I don't have the money to do online schooling and my mother wouldn't be caught dead actually doing something useful for me... she ignored all the signs. she didn't believe me when I said I was being bullied... "Izuku... please don't do this. I know that the quirked kids play rough, but that's no reason to call them bullies."
I couldn't help but scoff. It's not like I hide the burns and the cuts and the spider lilies I bring home every day. She sees the scars... You know, sometimes I wish the woman would just hit me instead so I can actually believe this is abuse... As it stands, I still can't help but love her despite her neglect.
When I made it to class, Bakugou was already there, as was most of the class. The teacher wasn't there yet however, so I looked into the classroom and walked right back into the hallway, heading up to the rooftop. I had like- fifteen minutes till the beginning of class. Looking up at the sky, I lay on my back. it was nice up here, but I suddenly heard giggling and the door connecting to the rest of the school shut and the tell tail *click* made me wince. I didn't move yet... I knew that I'd be stuck up here the entire day if I didn't figure something out, but why should I care? The teachers lower my grade anyway, and Mother won't care if I skip school. i don't think.
so, I took a nap.
