Tubbo's POV:
"RANBOO! I CAN'T FIND MY SHOES!" I yelled from downstairs and soon after, I could hear Ranboo coming down as well.
"Didn't you take them off down here?" He started looking too.
"I can't remember. I may have taken them off upstairs."
We found my shoes a couple of minutes later and headed out for our walk.
"Do you wanna get ice cream first?" Ranboo looked over at me٫ still walking.
"IS THAT EVEN A QUESTION?? YES!" I hadn't had ice cream in quite awhile, so I was excited.
Ranboo giggled and put his hand over his mask.
"Why don't you take that mask off so I can see how red your face is, ey?" I flirted.
"I- e-excuse me?" He pulled up his mask even more than before. "N-No!" He was flustered and I could tell. I was proud of how myself for saying that.
"Alright then. Those dazzling eyes of yours are enough for me I guess. But you'll have to take it off eventually if you're gonna kiss me." I was feeling very confident for some reason.
Ranboo literally stopped walking and froze completely.
"I- w-what-????? I- uh- Tubbo!" He looked down, without a word to say.
"Hahah. I'm just teasing you. Now I know that you're the easiest person to mess with. I'll keep that in mind." I laughed and he groaned, shaking his head. We continued to walk.
I pulled out my phone. Me and Tommy had been texting all morning. I missed him a lot. I laughed at a text he sent. I could see Ranboo looked over at me, but he didn't say anything. He began walking slower, sort of slouching. He look kind of sad if I'm being completely honest.
"You doin' alright, big guy?" I looked up from my screen at him. He nodded.
"Of course I am. How could I not be? I'm with you right now." I should've known he was gonna hit back. Now I was the one with the red face, without anything to say at all.
"Y-Yeah yeah, whatever.." I spoke quietly and looked down. I was more worried than flustered. I could tell there was something wrong, and hurt that he wouldn't tell me.
"Why aren't you talking to me, Ranboo?" His head shot straight up.
"What..?" He looked confused, but I wasn't buying it.
"Y-You won't tell me what's wrong with you.. That hurts, you know..?" He stopped walking and pulled my arm to stop me too.
Once I was facing him, he bent down to my level and pulled his mask down, then grabbing my shoulders with both of his hands.

I was bright red. I got to see his whole face, close up even. I was feeling the urge to kiss him, but I held back somehow.
"Tubbo, listen to me." He was using a soft voice. He sounded really calm. "If there was anything serious that was bothering me, I would tell you. But there isn't. So please stop worrying about it, ok?" He said, looking at me dead in the eyes. I was looking at him too. I couldn't look away from that gorgeous face.
We sat there for a minute, just staring at each other. I was feeling nervous, but he looked stern. I fell in love with his maturity. He made me feel a lot less worried, and I like that he's able to do that.
"O-Ok then.. I'll believe you.." I was still super red and I knew it.
He pulled up his mask and started to stand straight up again, but I yanked his arm down and pulled his mask back down. His eyes were wide.
"Please keep it down. I really really want you to." I didn't take my gaze off of him. I practically couldn't. He sighed and took his mask off, before returning to his normal posture. I smiled.
"Only for today. I can't resist your adorable face." I was flustered again. It was like we were having a flirting war. Somehow even after what I'd said, it felt like he was still winning.
"O-Oh be quiet!" I looked down and we both continued walking.
I was still texting Tommy٫ but having a hard time focusing on my phone screen. I kept look over at Ranboo's hand, each time wanting to hold it even more. We aren't dating though, so that wouldn't be right.
We arrived in front of the ice cream shop minutes later.
"I'm paying." I blurted out. Ranboo laughed.
"No I got it." What a gentleman he is.
"I said it first though. So stfu" (I don't cuss)
Ranboo turned to me, taking my wallet out of my pocket, sticking it in his own.
"You can have this pack after I pay." He started walking towards the shop again.
"Hey! Give that back! You're basically stealing from me, you know?" I ran to his side.
"What are you gonna do? Call the cops? I know you wouldn't." He didn't even look at me when he said that.
"You're so annoying." I scoffed.
"Ouch. I'm paying for you and this is what I get? Jeez."
"Ehhhhh you're right, I'm sorry." I looked down. He was right. He was only being nice to me.
He put his hand on my shoulder, still not looking over at me.

"No worries." I could see him smile. I liked that a lot. I think I was blushing, because I was feeling really warm.
"You need to keep that mask off more often. Your smile is lovely." I had to say something. He needed to know how beautiful his smile is.
"Hahah. Thanks, but I'm good." He didn't sound as flustered as I wanted him to be. I was sort of upset about that. I even accidentally groaned.
Ranboo grabbed my hand and held it in his. He still wasn't looking at me. He seemed so confident, like I was earlier. But now I was a flustered mess. I had been wanting to hold his hand for the entire walk, but even with all the confidence I had at the time, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I was glad that he did.
"I-" I tried to talk, but I didn't know what to say.
We got right in front of the shop door and he let go of my hand. He opened the door for me to walk in.
"Thanks, boo." I used that cute nickname I like. He chuckled, and walked in behind me.
There were a ton of people here, and I could see him getting anxious. I figured it was because he wasn't wearing his mask. I really didn't want him to put it back on, but I wanted him to be comfortable more than anything. I grabbed his hand tightly.
"You can put it back on." I said, trying my best not to sound disappointed. He quickly shook his head.
"We're eating ice cream. I'll need to take it off anyway." He gripped my hand back, and I felt my heart skip a beat.
"If you say so.." I leaned a bit towards him.
We got up to the register after waiting in line for a few minutes. I could see that he was even more nervous now. He was expected to take our orders and let another person look at the face he was insecure about, which I don't know why.
"Just tell me what you want." I whispered to him as the lady working at the register walked over to us.
Ranboo took out a piece of paper and wrote something down before handing it to me. Then he gave me his wallet.
"I'll go find us a table." He said, walking away from me.
"What can I get you today, sir?" The lady asked, taking out a notepad.
"Uhhhh, just a vanilla sundae and a mint cone, please." I said to the lady.
"Alright, coming right up." I smiled at her before going to the table Ranboo had chosen for us. He was bundled up, and I could tell he was still super anxious.
I could've sat across from him, but I sat right next to him. I wanted to comfort him, also, just a reason to be near him.
I put my hand on his shoulder and lightly rubbed it.
"Once we get our ice cream, we can go eat it outside." He quickly nodded his head.
I leaned on him, still leaving room to rub his shoulder. I could tell he was feeling more relaxed. I felt his body loosen up as he let out a breath that was trapped in his lungs.
"Thank you٫ Tubbo.." He whispered. I smiled really big.
"My pleasure, Ranboo." I closed my eyes.
I few moments later, I heard a clanking noise right in front of me. I opened my eyes to the waitress setting our ice cream down. Then she smiled and walked away, before we could even thank her.
I sat up, grabbing my ice cream. I got out from the table and held out my hand for Ranboo. He grabbed his sundae and gripped hold of my hand, standing up in front of me.
We held hands walking out the door.
"Do you wanna go find like a park bench or something?" I looked up at him.
"Sure." He smiled, looking back down at me. I could tell I was blushing. I can't look at him without blushing, so I was somewhat prepared to have that stomach ache.
We walked to the nearest park and sat down on one of the benches away from the sun so that our ice cream wouldn't melt.
We began eating our ice cream. We weren't around anyone so I knew he felt a whole lot more comfortable.
"Thanks for paying. You're such a gentleman." He chuckled, but I was being serious.
"I mean it!" I began to laugh a little too. "You have a very soft heart, Ranboo. I love that." I reached my hand over and felt his heart. It felt like it was going a million miles an hour. I was kind of shocked by that.
"D(bleep)N RANBOO WHY'S YOUR HEART BEATING SO HECKIN' FAST?!" I looked at him wide eyed.
"Hahah. You wouldn't understand Tubbo." He leaned back in the seat, looking forward.
"Oh but I would, big guy." I wanted to know.
"I'll tell you one day." He closed his eyes and smiled.
One day.
