《Songbird (PeterPan//OUAT)》Chapter 5: Memories

I opened my eyes and immediately closed them due to the bright sun. Groaning, I stood up as I looked beneath me. Sand. I don't ever remember running away to the harbor last night. I cringed as I looked down and noticed I was wearing nothing but undergarments, my scarred stomach in full view. The sand made my wounds itchy and irritated but I ignored it for now. I stood up, holding up part of my torn underskirt so it wouldn't completely leave my chest bare. "Who are you?" An accented voice asked. I looked up abruptly, straight into the green eyes of a boy, dressed in green and brown clothing. "Shouldn't I be the one to ask that?" I asked, my thicker accent sounding so out of place with his. The corners of his mouth turned up into a small smile. "Smart girl, i'm Peter." He held out his hand for me to shake and I cautiously grasped his larger hand into my own. "Haven, but back in the village I was called Birdy. Speaking of, can you direct me to the village? I must've slept walked to the shore." I stated. His eyes dimmed slightly , but he covered it quickly. "I regret to inform you that there is no village near here. Don't you know what this place is?" Peter asked. I looked around and took in the sight of the crystal clear water, the green forest, white sand, and rock formation in the distance. Suddenly, everything clicked. "Neverland." I had whispered. Peter smiled brighter than before, "Correct, love. And here's the fun part, only the completely lost ones can stay. Welcome to your new home Haven." He motioned with his arms to the beautiful paradise around us. I stayed quiet. He stopped suddenly and shot up into the air, grabbing my hand along the way. I gasped and clung to this strange boy like a lifeline. "What the bloody hell?! Please put me down. I must find a way home or I won't get my dinner." I said as I completely stilled in Peter's hold. "What do you mean love?" I stiffened at the feel of his hot breath on my neck. I gulped before shaking my head, "I can't stay here." Peter's happy façade dropped as he glared at me with a new found possessive anger. "You can't leave without my permission, sorry, love. You're not going anywhere for a while."

Everything had slammed into me full force. All of these new/old memories filling the dark voids of my formerly unknown past. Despite the madness in our toxic relationship Peter and I cared deeply for each other. The way he would act when Felix got too close to me, when I told him I wished to return home, when Rumplestiltskin took me away.
I gasped as I sat up and took in my surroundings. I was seated on my sofa at home. I stood up with a new found determination and jumped off my bed, rushing to get ready.
I pulled a random t-shirt over my head and a pair of jeans over my legs. I had to talk to Mr. Gold, or Rumplestiltskin. Or, whatever. I'll call him crocodile.
I walked out of the apartment building to see giant vines covering half of the town. That's really strange. I jogged passed them and made my way to Gold's shop. I walked in and immediately noticed my weapons on the far shelf in the back. I smiled and grabbed them before turning and walking out. Now I needed to find Regina. I slung my bow over my shoulders and tied the knife strap around my thigh along with my quiver. I jogged over to where I saw the vines and paused. They weren't there anymore and I could faintly hear a familiar scream. "Henry!" I shouted and pulled off my bow and took out an arrow as I aimed and ran towards the pleads for help.
"Henry!" I shouted as I spotted him and two other figures on the edge of the dock. I aimed once again and as they threw something into the water, I released and the arrow hit what seemed to be a man's shoulder. He groaned in pain and dropped Henry slightly before pushing aside the pain and jumping into the portal. However, his hesitation only gave me enough time to aim once more and knock my arrow into the lady's shoulder. I spun as a group of voices shouted Henry's name. Emma, Mary Margaret (whom I now know as snow white), David (Charming), Regina (Evil queen), and Mr. Gold (Rumple). Tears flowed down my cheeks as I looked at them.

"Where is he?" Regina questioned. I shook my head and let it drop.
"Tell us what you saw, little bird." Mr. Gold said as he took a step forward. I stepped back and spoke, "They threw something in the water and it opened a portal of sorts. I managed to shoot them both once but they still jumped in with Henry. I have no idea where they are now." Emma glared at me. "You should have stopped them." I turned to her with a red nose and bloodshot eyes. "You shouldn't have let him out of your sight but hey, we all make mistakes don't we?" I retorted sarcastically.
:"Why didn't you get him?" I full on glared at her right now. If only looks could kill.
"I managed to snag them in the leg and arm, it'll slow them down enough to where we can track them using a spell of sorts. For now, I am entirely capable of killing you Emma. I may be out of practice with a knife but I'm sure it'll come to me." I threatened lowly.
:We cant," David spoke up, "Hook took the last bean this morning." I sighed and looked down at my brown hunting boots. I opened my mouth to say something but a familiar boat caught my eye. I smiled brightly before waving over the group. "Maybe he had a change in heart."
"Where are they Croccy?" I questioned as Rumple looked at the globe before us. Hook, or Killian, chuckled loudly before turning back to Rumple whom was gasping in denial as he shook his head. I immediately grew concerned and attempted to look at the globe when Croc decided to pull me back. "What the bloody hell? Tell me where Henry is Crocadile or I'll rip your throat out." Rumple ignored me as he continued to stare at the globe. Everyone had horrified looks on their faces and I didn't know what for. Rumple got rid of the globe as Hook took the bean from his pouch and threw it a fair good distance away from us. He then steered the ship in he direction of the portal and we slipped into oblivion before landing in the ocean with a very familiar island in the distance.
