《NeverlandsPsycho | PeterPan》Nineteen:TheEchoCaves

The group entered through the rocky terrain. Hermione was right. The first thing she saw when she got to the cave was a cage. A cage that held the Dark Lord's son. Hermione jumped at the echo of Neal's pleads of help, obviously not expecting such a loud echo.
"Must be a hundred feet across." Hermione turned at the voice of Mary Margaret. "Even if we fashioned some sort of rope to attach it to, there's no way we could swing over." Hermione shook her head. She knew how to get across, but she had betrayed Peter enough for one day. "So what do we do?" Emma asked. "The only way to rescue someone from inside is to reveal a secret." Hermione nodded at her father's words. "Who's going first then?" Emma gave the Jones' a confused look. "So someone tells their secret and they sprout wings." Hermione shook her head, but Killian spoke. "I don't know the particulars, I'm just saying what I've been told." Hermione glanced back towards Baelfire. "How do you know it will work?" David asked. Hermione shrugged. "There's only one way to find out, I suppose."
Hermione heard her father's sighs, before he turned to the Charmings. "I kissed Emma." Hermione held in a laugh at the Charming's response, "You did what?" The savior neared closer to the pirate. "How is that your deepest darkest secret?" She turned back to Killian. "It's what the kiss exposed, my secret is that I never thought I'd be able to let go of, my first love. My daughters mother. My Milah." Hermione smiled slightly, she never knew her mother but she knew of how much Killian loved her. "I didn't think I could find someone else, well that was until I met you." The ground shook from beneath the group, Hermione grabbing onto her dad's jacket as it did. A section stone appeared. Forming a bridge.

Hermione looked around, waiting for who was next. "Me next." Mary Margaret said as she took her husband's hands. "Ever since the curse broke and we found each other. Since we found Emma. In all of that happiness there's something I haven't been able to admit." Snow's eyes flickered back and forth from her husband to daughter. "Our daughter, is a beautiful, smart, amazing woman. Who I love very much. And I couldn't be more proud but David, she's all grown up and we missed her childhood. And I'm not okay with that! What we have is unique, but it's not what I wanted. We were cheated out of everything; her first step, her first word, her first smile. We missed it." Mary Margaret paused for a moment. "What are you saying?" David asked, confused slightly, "When we get off this island and get back to Storybrooke, I want another go at it. I want to have another baby." Like before the ground shook and another section of a bridge formed.
"Nothing in this world would make me happier." David started, "And I know with all my heart that you would be a great mother but that can never happen." Hermione witnessed Snow's smile drop. "At least not with me." Snow looked at her daughter, "What do you mean?" she asked before looking back at David. "When Hook and I went to search for the sexton," Hermione listed as the Prince spoke, tears rolling down his cheek every so often. "he was really taking me to look for a cure." Snow seemed to get slightly angered as she asked, "A cure for what." Hermione looked at her father who nodded. A cure for dreamshade. "Dreamshade." David said but it came out as more of a sigh. "The lost boys." Hermione looked down, knowing this was partly her fault. "The arrow, you pushed me." "I wasn't fast enough. I was hit. Hook was able to find a cure but it comes with a price. I can't leave this island. If I do, I die." another section of the bridge was formed.

"You next darlin'." Hook said, telling his daughter she should go next. Hermione stumbled, not knowing what to say. "Erm, I'm in love with Peter Pan?" nothing happened. "I feel slightly guilty for killing the lost boy, my first day here. And the other five. And then Milo. And all of the others." Once again, nothing happened. "Killing?" Her father questioned, she nodded. Then it struck her, Hermione knew her deepest darkest secret. "Dad." She mumbled, her voice croaking. "When I got offered by Peter to come to Neverland I took the offer because I didn't want to be alone. I gave up hope of you coming back. I took his offer because we were going to get revenge. When I first saw you, here in Neverland. I was angry." The girl's eyes were glossy as she spoke. "You had come here for someone else's child but not your own. Ever since I came to Neverland I've had a blood lust. It started up when I saw you. I wanted to kill you. But hearing you say my name, you seemed worried and I couldn't do it. I didn't want revenge anymore. I wanted my dad." Hermione was crying now. "I had forgiven you then, but I fought it. I didn't want to forgive my dad but I had. I pushed the feeling down, hiding it. Forcing myself to hate you. I knew I had forgiven you when Peter played his pipe." Hermione shook her head. "I couldn't hear it. Only lost children hear it dad, and I couldn't. I'm not lost any more. Because your here. And I forgive you." Hermione hugged the pirate, instantly getting a hug back. "I love you dad." She said through tears. "I love you too." For the fourth time, the ground shook, completing the bridge. Hermione looked at Emma, nodding and smiling as she did.
The savior looked worried, she grabbed her sword before making her way over the bridge. The Charming's and the Jones' watched in silence as Emma ran towards the cage. Their conversation hard to hear, even if it was echoing around. Hermione jumped as she heard the clashing of metal and bamboo. She shook her head slightly, "She needs to tell her secret." Hermione mumbled. Baelfire, obviously knew what she had to do. "You know that's not how this works." Emma crouched down beside the cage. "You can tell me anything." Emma sighed, "When, Hermione said you might have been here, and that you were still alive I knew I should have been happy. But I wasn't. I was terrified. I didn't understand until now, from the moment I saw you in New York, the instant you stepped back into my life. I knew I had never stopped loving you. and before I even had a chance to tell you that I lost you once more. And that pain, I pushed down came flooding back and I didn't know if I could go through with it again. I love you." Emma cried, "And I probably always will. But my secret, is that I was hoping Hermione had lied. I was hoping that you were dead. Because it would have been easier to put you behind me. Than to face all of that pain again." The cage seemed to melt away, allowing Neal and Emma to embrace each other. The two made their way over to Hermione and the rest of the group. "Now let's go find Henry."

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.

Author's note:This is an old version that has been completely dropped in favor of a new and better version. I have learned a lot from written this instance, but I believe the work has been subpar and I can do much better with the story and the premise I have devised. I will be posting the new version on a different page.
