*Justin's POV*
We all have been sitting in the waiting room for what seems like forever. We got here at ten o'clock at night and now it's one in the morning. Jimmy and Nancy came a hour ago. Nancy's brother went over to their house to stay with Winnie.
Ava's head is leaning on my shoulder, my jacket is covering her and she is asleep.
"Why didn't you answer my phone call the first time Justin?" Mom suddenly asked
"We were uh, busy." I said quickly. Dad began to chuckle while mom sighed. "I'm sorry." I apologized.
"No it's alright. She is your wife after all." Mom said. I looked down at my beautiful sleeping wife.
"She wants to have a baby." I smiled while looking at my wife.
"Ava does?" Alexis asked me. I smiled and nodded.
"This time it's going to be perfect." I said. I softly kissed Ava's forehead. "It has to be." I said. Everyone smiled at me. "We're going to go on another honeymoon since our last one didn't really workout." I said.
"Well it's about damn time because I want some grandkids." Mom said. Everyone began laughing.
"We'll give them to you mom." I laughed. Ava then moved a little bit and I looked down at her. She opened her eyes and smiled at me.
"Hey sexyShe smiled. Everyone around us began to laugh. Ava looked around and realized we are still at the hospital. She sighed and leaned her head back on my shoulder.
"Hey beautiful." I smiled. She laughed and smiled at me.
"Hey everyone." Ava said.
"Hey Ava." Everyone laughed.
"You know, you are very comfy to lay on." She smiled at me.
"Thanks." I chuckled. Then a doctor walked into the room and up to our family.
"Are you all Paul Harless's family?" The doctor asked us.
"Yes. I'm his wife." Mom said. Her and the doctor shook hands.
"My name is Doctor Haney. I will be Paul's doctor." Doctor Haney said.
"How is he?" I asked him.
"He is stabilized right now." The doctor nodded.
"What caused the stroke?" Mom asked.
"A blood clot formed and it blocked the blood flow to the left side of the brain. This type of stroke is called Ischemic." He answered.

"Will he recover?" Dad asked him.
"That cannot be determined right now." Doctor Haney said.
"Will he make it?" Mom asked.
"He is on a ventilator." The doctor Said. He didn't completely answer her question. "I will come back out and tell you when you can come see him." He nodded.
"Thank you." Mom said quietly. The doctor nodded and left the room. I stood up and walked over to her.
"It's going to be okay." I told her. I lightly squeezed her shoulder and she looked at me.
"How do you know that Justin?" She asked me. I sighed and looked at the floor.
"I don't," I looked back up at her."But Paul is a fighter and he'll get through this."I said.
"What if he doesn't?" She asked me.
"If he doesn't, you'll always have me." I smiled. She gave me a small smile.
"You won't just have him. You'll have all of us." Lisa said. Everyone nodded in agreement.
"We're a family." Dad agreed.
"We'll get through this together." Ava smiled.
"You'll never be alone." I said. She smiled at all of us.
"Thank you everyone." She smiled.
"Group hug!" Jimmy smiled. Everyone laughed and we all hugged.
An hour later the doctor told us we could go see him. He's not awake but he can still hear us. Mom went back first but she wanted me to go with her. I told her I would stand outside the room, I'm not ready to see another person in a hospital bed.
I heard my mom cry as she talked to him.
"You gonna make it. You have to. I love you so much." She cried. Hearing her broke my heart. She walked out of the room and looked at me.
"I think I'm going to go see him." I said. She nodded and smiled. She left and I walked in. He looked so fragile with the machines all next to him. I slowly walked over to a chair and sat next to him.
"Hey it's Justin." I began. " I just want you to know that I'm going to take care of mom. She'll be alright. I promise." I said. I then broke down. "I never told you how much you mean to me. You are an amazing step father. You were there for me when my own father wasn't. You took care of mom when I was on my tours." I cried. I wiped my tears with a tissue.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me. You and Mom were the ones who really believed in me." I cried. I squeezed his hand and he squeezed it back. I gasped and looked at him. His eyes weren't open or anything
"I felt that." I smiled. I then left and went back to the waiting room.
"Someone can go back there." I said. Dad nodded and he and Lisa went back. I sat down in my chair next to Ava. I felt her grab my hand.
"Are you okay?" She asked me.
"Yeah." I lied. Secretly I'm scared to death. What if he doesn't make it? Mom can't handle losing him. Hell, none of us can.
I looked over at my mom and saw her staring at the floor. She looked up and looked at me. When I looked into her eyes I didn't see the same woman I know. I saw someone else entirely, someone who is terrified. She looked back at the floor. I looked over at Ava and she sighed.
"I'm going to get some coffee. Who wants one?" I stood up. Everyone's hands went up.
"I'll help you." Ava said. Here and I rode the elevator down to the cafeteria.
"Ava did you see the way she looked at me? That's not the woman I know." I said as we ordered the coffee.
"Believe me I saw. But Justin she is terrified of losing her husband. Just think she probably saw that look in you when you almost lost me." She said. I looked at her and sighed.
"You're right. But what am I going to do if he doesn't make it?" I sighed.
"Stop saying I. We are in this together." She said.
"What are we going to do?" I sighed.
"I don't know, but we'll figure it out." She said. I smiled and kissed her.
"I love you." I smiled.
"I love you too." She smiled. We paid for the coffees and took them upstairs. When we walked into the waiting room I saw my mom sobbing and Lisa and Alexis holding her while they were crying.
"Mom." I gasped. The coffees dropped out my hand and ran to her. "Mom what happened, what's wrong?" I asked her when I bent down to her level. She could answer me because she was crying to much. I looked at my Dad.
"Paul just had a heart attack." He sighed. I gasped and looked at my mom. I held her face in my hands.
"Listen to me. Everything is going to be okay. Alright." I said. She looked down. " Look at me." I cried. She looked up at me. "You will not go through this alone. I will be here everyday. Alright." I said. I kissed her forehead and she hugged me. I stood up and looked at Ava. She began to cry. I hugged her tightly.
"I don't think we're going on our honeymoon anytime soon." I whispered.
"Neither do I." She whispered.
We looked at our sad and upset family. What am I going to do?
Doctor Haney then came out again.
"He's stable again." He told us.
"What the hell happened?" I asked him.
"Justin." Ava scolded me.
"I want to know how the hell did my step father have a heart attack? Aren't you supposed to be taking care of him?" I snapped.
"Justin Randall Timberlake." Ava glared at me. I looked at my wife and sighed.
"I'm sorry doc. I'm just upset." I apologized.
"I understand. It happens all the time." He nodded. "We are running tests right now to find out why." He answered me. "I'll come back when the results come back." He said. He walked out of the waiting room and I followed him.
"Doctor Haney." I said. He turned around and saw me.
"Yes Mr Timberlake?" He asked me.
"Can you make sure that all of his medical expenses are charged to me. Money isn't a problem for me. I don't care if something cost five million dollars, you do it. Do anything to save his life." I told him. He nodded his head and left. I walked back to the waiting room.
I looked at my family. It's my responsibility to hold everyone together, to make sure everything will be okay.

Many a story has spawned from these two tales. Countless retellings mixing in their own fictions. But all stories spawn with a kernel of truth to them, and the story of Davy Jones is no exception. Others might call him a devil, meting punishment on those deserving. The true story is always slightly different. Davy Jones is a ferryman, but not one for the afterlife, as Walter finds out.
