Nick's pov
Finally, class was over. We didn't even get to learn much. As the teacher put us in groups together, to discuss supernatural flaws. After 30 minutes of that. She talked about her personal life for almost three hours. Like this isn't how you're supposed to tell your students.
I began to pack my bag. When I was finished, someone pattered my shoulders. As I turned back to see who it was. I saw Hope. She was already up from her seat. Having her backpack on her back and holding onto the straps. ''ready?'', she asked. I answered ''ready''.
I got up from my seat. Took my backpack on me and went out of the classroom with Hope.
We were walking to the garden. Then Hope went in front of me and stopped. ''what do you think Lizzie is planning?'', she asked. I looked at her shrugging. ''don't know to be honest. All I know is what you know'', I said knowing this must be something for Lizzie's plan to show Hope her true feelings for me or whatever.
''Nick'', she said. I looked back up at her. ''you really don't know, what you're girlfriend is planning?''. I looked away from her to the floor, saying ''actually we aren't together anymore. We broke it off yesterday. So, I'm officially single''. After I said that I went back up to look at her. She had an confused expression on her face. ''I thought you two worked it out?''. ''yeah we kind of did. Then we decided it was best for us to be friends''. ''oh, okay'', she answered.
Hope's pov
As Nick said he and Lizzie broke up. I couldn't help but feel a little relieved. Why do I feel that? I'm with Landon. I established that it was him I wanted to be with. What is going on with me? I can't do this. I can't be in love with both of them. Wait? Did I really just think that? Am I in love with both of them? No, no. Hope stop. Stop thinking like this. It's confusing. How I wish my parents were here.

3rd pov
As both of them were quiet for a minute or two. Nick saw Hope getting sad. So, he spoke up ''hey Hope. Are you good?''. Hope looked at the hybrid, with some tears in her eyes. ''yeah, I'm good Nick'', she said forcing a smile. Nick noticed the answer wasn't sincere, but instead of pushing. He took the tribrid and embraced her. Holding her tightly. Hope gladly accepted and held onto him. What they both didn't know. Was that both of them needed that hug.
Seconds were turned into minutes. They were both still in each other's embrace. Not one of them wanted to let go, but they had to.
Nick's pov
I noticed we had been staying like this for a couple of minutes. For me it was okay staying like this for hours. Making sure Hope is okay. That's all I want for her. To be happy, to smile.
Hope started to loosen up the hug so, I did the same.
Now we both were out of the hug. I looked at her and saw she had still some tears in her eyes. I took my hand and gently stroke them away. She looked up at me, giving me a smile. I gave her a smile back, saying ''I'm always here for you Hope. Whenever you need me. Got it?''. She didn't answer, instead she nodded.
She took my hand, saying ''now, let's go to the garden. See what Lizzie's up to''. I gave her a smile. Then she led the way, with her hand in mine.

Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.
