I frowned to myself as I threw on one of Wilbur's jumpers, the apartments heating had broke and even though I was sat under three different blankets the British winter was still making me shiver.
Wilbur had left to stream at his office almost three hours ago and the heating had officially shut off about ten minutes after he left.
I had no idea what to do in this situation and Wilbur obviously wasn't here to help so I was just suffering in silence.
After putting on his jumper for extra warmth I climbed back into bed, listening to the sounds of heavy wind and rain battering against the window.
I probably would've fallen to sleep if it wasn't so cold, every time I felt myself drifting off I would shiver and wake myself straight back up.
The noise of the front door opening made me sit up slightly. I knew that it was probably Will coming home but a part of me was still on edge.
"Honey, I'm home." He had a light laugh in his voice from the cheesiness of the line he used.
"I'm in here." I loudly replied, listening to him shuffle around in the hallway before walking into the door way, almost blocking out all the light with his tall frame.
His hair and clothes were soaked from being out in the rain but even though there was water dripping off his curls into his face he was still smiling.

"Miss me?" He asked, walking over and leaning down to kiss my forehead. His cold hands made my arms breakout in goosebumps as I shivered away from him slightly.
"Of course. Please go dry off your making the bed wet." I laughed quietly and sat up to give him a chaste kiss on the lips.
He nodded and walked into our bathroom, the smile not moving from his face.
"Why is it so cold? Aren't you freezing?" He asked through the doorway whilst drying off his hair with a towel.
"The heating broke hours ago. I've been in bed since nine just to stay warm."
He walks back into the room and over to the wardrobe. Getting changed in front of me which made my cheeks heat up slightly.
"I'll call the maintenance guy tomorrow morning. For now though I'll keep you warm." He chuckled again which brought a smile to my face.
He climbed into bed next to me and automatically pulled me into him by my waist.
He hid his face in my hair and the warmth he brought finally allowed my muscles to relax.
I could feel myself starting to drift off the sleep and he kissed my shoulder gently.
"I love you, darling." He murmurs into my ear.
His sleepy voice and loving words made me smile through my drowsiness.
I barely managed to whisper out an I love you too before drifting off to sleep myself.

Ortus (Old Version)
This is an old version of the heavily edited and rewritten Ortus This is the story of a woman named Riza. Riza is a woman who wakes up in a forest with nothing, remembering nothing, and on the cusp of death. The only thing she has is a weapon stuck in her side and, after a tangle with a wild boar, something called 'life aspect'. Little does she know that life magic is considered a dead-end branch and is largely outlawed across the world. None of this matters to her, of course. For one, even if someone tried to tell her, she doesn't know the language. Number two, have you heard about the sunk cost fallacy? Riza is not some chosen one, nor is given any boon she doesn't deserve. Instead, she's smart and methodical, and experiements on how to maximise every opportunity, every ability, presented to her. She doesn't just take things at face-value but instead explores just what limitations there are. This often involves maths.
