《Life in a puppy pack (Sterek) (Boyxboy) (completed)》part 16

Stiles lost himself in Dereks embrace, drowned in his scent and was almos euphoric about the fact that he was able to do all that again. "I missed you Derek. I missed you so, so much" he exclaimed, and Derek sighed sadly. "I am so sorry for leaving you, or even allowing you to get kidnapped in the first place" he replied tiredly, and Stiles turned his head to look Derek in the eyes. "Derek, I will not let you blame yourself for that. That was all me, me and Deucalion. It wasn't your fault" he tried to assure his mate. "But I let you get away" Derek whispered. "Shush you" Stiles said before shutting him up effectively by slamming his lips on Dereks again. Then the door opened and Stiles heared footsteps come through the door. "Mom! We heared you were awake and- oh." Isaacs voice died off when he saw what Stiles and Derek were doing. Then Stiles heared the pups and he pulled away from Derek, earning a scowl. "Shush sourwolf. They've been worried as well" Stiles chuckled, and Derek reluctantly let go of his waist and turned to the pups, who looked back with a cautious look in their eyes. "So are you together again or what?" Jackson asked like the brat he sometimes was. "Yes Jackson, we are indeed. And you might want to know he has his memory back as well" Stiles explained, and the eyes of the pups became big as saucers. "Really?" Isaac said with a side glance at Derek. "Yes, really" Derek answered with a little smile. That was all the pups needed, and they all jumped at Derek for a big group hug which Stiles excluded himself from because he couldn't really stand, and even though the painkillers worked remarkably well, he could see from the bandages on his arms and legs that he was pretty burnt and he didn't want his wounds to open and start bleeding, or leaking, or whatever burns did. The pups on the other hand seemed like they had a contest who could crush Derek to death first. Stiles smiled at Dereks attempt to stay upright and couldn't hold back a chuckle when he miserably failed and crushed to the floor, buried beneath a pile of ovely happy pups. Only the twins seemed to be a little uncomfortable and uncertain of their position in the pack while they were standing next to Stiles' bed and looking at the puppy pile next to them. Stiles wondered if they'd talked to Derek about joining the pack. When he saw what an uncomfortable position Derek was in he decided it was time to put a stop to the mess in the hospital room. "Okay pups, give your poor alpha some air, I've just got him back, and I'm not planning on letting him go anytime soon" he said with a wink, and the pups all jumped off Derek en looked at him sheepishly. "Sorry mom" or "sorry Derek" they all mumbled, and Stiles couldn't help but laugh at their embarrased faces. Wolf instinct's a bitch! "Don't apologise! You missed him, it makes sense. But guys, I'm kinda tired and I think I'm going to take a quick nap, okay? You guys can go grab something to eat in the cafeteria" Stiles said, knowing the promise if food would get the pups to leave for a while. "I'm staying" Derek said, and when Stiles looked like he was going to protest he sent him his best Hale glare, and Stiles decided it might be best to let the alpha stay. "It's okay guys, just get something to eat while Derek stays here" he said, and they nodded before leaving the room, which left Derek and Stiles alone again. "I'm sorry to have to say this, but I wasn't lying when I said I was exhausted. I'm gonna take a short nap I think" Stiles said, and he yawned. "Okay. I'll just lay with you" Derek suggested, and Stiles happily agreed. Soon enough Derek was spooning him, and even though they barely fit into the small hospital bed Stiles felt more comfortable then he had the intire week, and he felt himself drift away into a peaceful nothingness quickly.

Stiles woke up about ten minutes after from a terrible pain in his arms and legs, it felt like they were pushed to death, they burnt terribly and he had to hold back a whimper. When he curled himself up just to be able to bear the pain, the stretching of his muscles and skin caused him so much pain that he let out a whimper. Immediatly he felt the body of the man who was curled up against him stiffen. "Stiles? Are you okay? What's going on?" Derek asked worriedly "Just the... Just the stupid burns. I guess the painkillers weared off" Stiles groaned, and Derek sat up, careful not to touch his arms or legs. "I'm so, so sorry! You seemed to be okay because of all the painkillers so I completely forgot! I'll heal you, just relax okay?" Derek exclaimed, trying to.hold himself together when he saw his mates distress. Stiles nodded, unable to do much more than just bear the pain right now. When Derek touched his arms he stiffened for a moment, until the pain started to wear off and black veins appeared on Dereks arm. He could only feel the wounds heal, because he had bandages around the previously wounded limbs, so he couldn't watch the process. He only noticed the pain go away. When Derek was done, he sighed in relief. "Thanks Der" he said while they both layed down again. They cuddled up again and went back to sleep, because they'd only slept for about ten minutes and Stiles knew how tiring healing was for werewolves.
When they woke up a couple of hours later from a nurse walking into the hospital room, Stiles thought she was lucky that she was Melissa Mc.Call, because Derek looked like if it had been anyone else he'd have ripped her throat out. "Ow.. Well Stiles, I have to change your bandages" she said awkwardly. Although she didn't look surprised, so Stiles guessed everybody knew that Derek had his memory back now. "Not neccaseary. I healed him" Derek said with a soft growl which made Stiles happy he was laying inbetween Derek and Melissa. "Um, okay, but I'll still have to replace the bandages to keep up an act in front of the doctors. They've treated your wounds, so they know it's not something that could just dissapear. I can make up a story so you'll be able to go home sooner, but I think you'll have to stay here at least for ths night. You can't forget you've been in a coma for two days. I understand that you wanted to heal him Derek, but did you think about what the doctors could say?" She asked carefully. "I wasn't going to let him suffer" Derek said, and Melissas look softened. "I understand that, but we're going to have to work on an explanation" She said, and Stiles nodded, a little overwhelmed by Melissa's words. He hadn't even thought what the doctors would think of his wounds magically dissapearing, but he understood they'd want an explanation. "I understand, but do tou think they'll allow Derek to stay the night?" he asked, not sure if that was even possibl. "I think I can arrange something for you, and I'll make sure I'm the only one treating you, so the other nurses won't notice anything" Melissa answered, making Stiles smile thankfully, and suddenly he felt so much gratitude for all the amazing people surrounding him that he felt like singing. They hadn't left him whenever he got into trouble, which was a lot, and that was something most people wouldn't do. He suddenly hugged Melissa and whispered a "thank you" in her ear, which left her slightly flabbergasted. "Um, thanks I guess" she murmured before quickly making her way out of the room. "What was that all about?" Derek asked with one eyebrow raised. "I just realised I'm surrounded by the most amazing people in the world" Stiles answered happily. At that Derek laughed and shook his head. "What?" Stiles asked, thinking Derek was laughing at him. "It's just that I can't believe how little you think of yourself. I mean, everybody who surrounds you is so amazing because of you! You always see the good in people, and that makes people want you to be right. You make people the best they can be, and that's why they stick around. Not because you're some strange sort of 'wolf catnip'" The alpha exclaimed, and Stiles didn't really know how to react to that, especially when the pups and his dad chose that moment to stroll in. "He's right son. You should give yourself some credit. You mean everything to these people, to me" His dad started. "And that's not neccasearily because we're that awesome, or even awesome at all" Scott agreed with Derek and John, which made Stiles blush a deep pink and look down. "I think I'll just stick with the catnip" he muttered weakly, and before he knew it he was caught in a group hug consisting of all of his pups and Derek, even the twins this time. His dad chose to watch and smile, but when the pups finally released him, and Derek stayed next to Stiles with an arm around his waist, he ruffled his sons hair and smiled, before taking off to find Melissa. The next few hours they talked about what had happened the past few days, from when Stiles got kidnapped to the point where the paramedics arrived too early so Derek couldn't heal Stiles before they arrived. Stiles learned that the pups really hadn't eaten decent the entire week and he looked at Derek, who shrugged. "First I was looking for you, then I was kidnapped and after that I lost my memory. A healthy diet wasn't really the first thing that came to my mind" Derek explained, at which Stiles laughed a little. "I get that, but that does mean that none of you are getting any junkfood the rest of the summer" He said, chuckling when they all groaned. "Or at least the next month" He added, and allof them rolled their eyes and laughed, and time just flew by. Stiles was incredibly happy that he had his pups and Derek back that he was practically bouncing through the room, until Melissa walked in to inform that visiting hours were long over and that she'd bring dinner over, but that the pups really needed to leave after that. They all nodded, and they all looked grossed out at the hospital food Melissa brought with her. "Eww, this smells like freaking roadkill!" Jackson exclaimed, and even though he was cussing Stiles couldn't do anything but agree with that. The meat looked like it had been dead way too long, de potato mash was like jelly and had little lumps in it, and he couldn't even figure out what the vegetables were supposed to be. After they'd all eaten about half their plate they decided they weren't going to eat any more, and the pups decided to leave. They all came up to Stiles and Derek for a quick snuggle which ended up in a big groop hug, of course, and then they all left while calling a quick "bye mom!" and a "bye Derek!" soon enough the only one left was Erica. She was fidgeting a little, but when the others had left she flew to Derek. "I missed you so, so much Derek! Don't ever leave again!" She exclaimed. After the annitial shock Derek put his arms around her and promised he never would. After a while Stiles stroked her hair and told her she'd better leave, otherwise the others would have left with their cars already, so she left after fixing her hair and muttering a quick "bye" and then she was gone. "She really missed you, you know" Stiles said, and Derek nodded. "She's still grateful for the bite, even though I did it only for myself" Derek answered, and Stiles kissed him softly. "I don't really think you did. You always picked the people who needed it most" Stiles reasoned, and Derek looked at him in wonder. "You might be right. I never thought of it that way" he said, and Stiles smiled "And that is why we love you" he said before gently kissing Derek again. They fell asleep close to eachother that night.

Stiles woke up by a nurse coming into his room, and that nurse wasn't Melissa. When she saw Derek she seemed to get mad. "I'm sorry mr. Stilinski, but may I ask who this young man is?" She asked angrily. "Um.." Stiles replied, while Derek was softly snoring into his neck. Well this was awkward. Luckily Melissa chose that moment to walk in. "Calm down Debbie. I know it's against protocol, but this boy gets out today and I gave his boyfriend permission to spend the night here" Debbie nodded, and even though she didn't seem completely content with the explanation she left. "I'm sorry for that Stiles, I guess I fell asleep" Melissa apologised. "It's okay. I just don't get how Derek slept through all that" he said, turning his head to look at the slightly snoring body behind him. "But I really have to pee right now, so could you help me get his arms off me?" He asked, and she chuckled and nodded, but when they carefully tried to lift Dereks arms, he groaned and unconsciously tightened his grip around Stiles's waist, which made Melissa laugh, and when she saw how uncomfortable Stiles looked in Dereks death gripp she cracked up even more, which earned her a glare from Stiles. "You laugh. Just wait until you're being cuddled to death by- no that's not really relevant, is it?" he sighed. "Wel help me already!" he yelled, and Melissa hurried up to the bed while Stiles tried to wriggle out of Dereks arms, but he really refused to wake up. Then the door opened to reveal sheriff Stilinski who'd come to pick Stiles up, which probably meant the pups weren't far away. Surprisingly enough, at the tiny little squeak the door gave when it opened, Derek shot up, all mister growly-sourpants, and Stiles looked at him like he was crazy. When Derek had made sure there really wasn't a threat in this hospital room he turned to look at Stiles. "What?" He asked, unaware of that Stiles and Melissa had been trying to wake him up the past half hour. "You would litterally make the worst watch dog ever, do you know that?" Stiles said, still a little flabbergasted. Now it was Dereks turn to look like Stiles was crazy, but thankfully the pups chose that moment to walk in. They looked like they were going to do a puppy pile right here, but Stiles stopped them. "Guys, I'm first going to go to the bathroom and get dressed, after that we can cuddle, ok? Oh and by the way, does any of you have some clothes for me? Because I'm not intending on leaving the hospital in this gown thingy" his dad chuckled at that and handed him a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt. Stiles then hurried himself to the bathroom where he quickly did his business and got dressed, and when he got out of the room the pups almost threw him off his feet in their excitement. "Guys, guys, please be careful, I'm not planning on staying here another night" he laughed and they jumped off him. "We just missed you" Erica said. "Yeah, the house just wasn't home without you" Isaac added. "And Derek nor your dad can cook properly!" Scott and Jackson yelled, which earned them an agreeing laugh from his dad and a glare from Derek. Stiles laughed and hooked his arm through Dereks. "Let's just go home already!" He exclaimed, which made Derek laugh again. "O my gosh. Guys, call the press. I think Derek just laughed" Lydia said, which made Derek roll his eyes. "It's not like I've never smiled before" he grumbled. Stiles just laughed and pulled Derek out of the hospital room. "Guys! I want to get home!" He yelled, which made everyone laugh again, and they all got out of the hospital and when they were walking to the parking lot Stiles thought of something. "Dad, if the house is burnt down, where are you staying?" He asked sharply. His dad blushed a deep crimson at that, which made it pretty clear for Stiles where he was staying. "You could've just told me you were staying with Melissa" he said, and his dad murmured something he didn't understand. They got to the cars, and his dads police car went off to beacon hills while all the other cars drove off to the woods where the Hale house was. When they arrived, Stiles almost ran out of the car, so badly he wanted to get home. When they all got inside they decided to just watch a movie, all of them cuddled up on the couch, including Laura and the twins, although Stiles saw the twins more as his pups than Laura for some reason. One movie became another, and they just decided to lounge a bit the rest of the day. At dinner time Stiles decided he didn't really feel like cooking, even though the pups had been eating bad the intire week, so they ordered chinese which they all wolfed down quickly. At around ten the pups all went to bed, which left only Stiles and Derek. Stiles turned to give him a kiss, and Derek happily answered before his face went serious. "Stiles, first I want you to know I locked the front door out of procaution this time, but I still need to ask you a question" he said with a nervous smile. He then took both Stiles' hands in his again and got down on one knee. "Stiles, for the second time now, will you please marry me?"

Path of Righteousness
What do you desire? What are you afraid of? You run away from one, pursuing the other. Is that all you are? Conquer your fears. Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.
