Ben's POV:

When I wake up my body complains about sleeping in that uncomfortable chair. I quietly walk to the cell converted bedroom Rey is sleeping in. I crawl in the bed with her and wrap my arms around her, her head tucked underneath my chin. I placed a kiss on the top of her head and just be content to stay like this as long as I can. I knew this was not the greatest idea in the galaxy, her worst emotional outbreaks tend to happen right as she is waking up, but they are ten times worse if I was not there to calm her down. 'I'll use the force if I have too.' I really didn't want to wake her but I prepared myself when I felt her grip tighten around my torso, I froze for a moment as panic rushed through me. I let out a small breath I've been holding when our eyes meet and a smile spreads across her face. "You're slowly getting better!" I exclaim as I pull her into a tight hug. "Definitely better than waking up mid lightsaber duel with you." She explains if a light giggle escapes her lips. I watch her as she takes in her surroundings and she notices the new claw marks on the walls she must have made in her sleep. She gets up and walks up to one wall, she traces the marks with her hand. I watch as her hopeful demeanor changes to one of disappointment in a matter of seconds. I pull her away from the wall and wipe away a tear that sliding down her cheek, my heart hurt seeing her like this. I speak in hushed tones as I cup her face, "Hey, look at me. You are making progress, waking up like that alone is amazing. We will get through this together." I place a kiss on her forehead before continuing, "I realized yesterday that we haven't meditated since everything happened. We can do it together, it might even help with your night terrors sweets." She nods her in response before going on her tiptoes to place a kiss on my lips. "Have I told you how much I love you." She says as she pulls away, a smirk spreading across her face. "I have to go help Finn and Poe explain everything we talked about during our meeting last night to the other Resistance members. I'll be back, I promise and then I am all yours" I whisper in her ear followed with a playful growl. "Ok go get themvaractyl," She jokes as she punches me lightly on the chest in a playful manner. As I pulled away, I could feel through our forced bond how emotionally unstable she still was and how exhausted her body is due to the past series of events. Rey and I were still processing what exactly had happened to us over the past few months so this didn't surprise me much, but it still made me worry nonetheless. I turned back to look at my fiancé one last time before leaving the room with the door open. I feel as though everything is finally slowing down enough to enjoy the little moments.

Rey's POV:

When Ben left I tried my best to comprehend everything that happened yesterday. Most of it is in a blur and some of it felt like a dream. I look down at my hand and see the beautiful ring, realizing it was not a dream. Ben had proposed and I said yes, I was going to marry Ben. The situation still hadn't completely cemented itself in my mind yet. I change into my clothes and decide to sneak to the top of the temple to begin meditating like Ben suggested before anyone realizes I am up there. When I do I go outside in the morning and the sun warms my skin. I meditate taking everything in and I feel myself start to fully accept everything that has happened to me. I feel all the real memories and the brainwashing separate themselves making it everything abundantly more clear. I feel myself starting to fully accept all my feelings I have been having, knowing they have been justified, I feel myself become at peace again, it's a feeling I had missed.

I sense Ben's worry through the bond, I push into his mind quickly to help put him at ease, 'What's wrong Ben?' I ask while having no idea what has him so worried. 'I didn't find you on the Falcon. I started panicking and thinking the worst.' He admitted. 'I didn't mean to scare my poor fiancé' I say, ' I'm in a teasing mood '. I went to the top of the temple to meditate since you recommended I give it a shot. Care to join me?' I ask, feeling pleased with myself. 'You are going to be the death of me, you know that?' He asks jokingly. "I thought I already was?" I retort back before returning all my focus back to the meditation and the peace it brings me.
