*Justin's POV*
I knocked on the door and stood by my wife and daughter.
"Shit is about to go down." Jess said. I smirked and nodded.
"It sure is." I said. Britney then opened the door and gasped when she saw us.
"We need to talk." Ariana Said.
"About?" She asked us.
"Oh you know what." Jess said. Britney rolled her eyes and let us come inside.
"So why the hell would tell the press about everything?" I asked her.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She said.
"Don't act stupid." Ariana Said.
"How did the media find out about everything that happened?" I glared at her.
"I did. Okay? I was the one who told everything." She smiled. Suddenly Ariana tackled her to the ground and started punching her. Jess went to tear her off of Britney but I stopped her.
"Don't." I shook my head. I waited a little bit before I went over to get Ariana. I pulled her off of Britney.
"You're fucking crazy." Britney said to Ariana.
"She gets it from me." I said as I held my daughter back. I then looked at my wife. "Jess." I said. She smiled and nodded. She went over to Britney beat the crap out of her.
"If you even come near my husband or daughter again I will kill you." Jess yelled at her when she was done. I walked over to Britney and knelt down to her level as she laid on the ground in pain.
"You are going to go to the press and tell them that you lied about everything." I said to her.
"And if I don't?" She asked me.
"We'll be back here." I said. I then stood up and looked at my family."Well family, shall we go?" I asked them.
"Yeah." They both stormed out of the house. I followed them out and we all got in the car and left.
"How'd that feel?" I asked them as I drove the car.
"My hand hurts." Ariana sighed.
"So does mine." Jess said.
"Was it worth it?" I asked them.
"Yes." Jess and Ariana both said. I chuckled and nodded my head.

"This is why I love you two." I smiled. "When we get home you can both ice your hands while my mom lectures us." I said.
"Great." Ariana sighed.
"Lynn is going to kill us." Jess sighed.
"She'll kill me, not you two." I said.
"Good because I'm to young to die." Ariana Said. We then pulled up to the house.
"Alright let's do this." I said. We all got out of the car and went inside.
"Justin Randall Timberlake!" My mom glared at me.
"Yes mother?" I sighed. She then looked over at Jess and Ariana.
"Really? You let your own daughter beat the crap out of Britney?" She sighed.
"She deserved it." Ariana Said. I nodded in agreement.
"She sure did." Jess nodded.
"Well it wasn't the best decision to go to her house." Dad Said.
"I know, I know." I sighed.
"Do you two need ice?" Lisa asked Jess and Ariana.
"Yes." They both sighed. Lisa then went into the kitchen to get them both ice for their hands.
"What all three of you did was very irresponsible." Mom said to us. "If this gets out it will ruin both of your careers." She said to Jess and I.
"It won't get out." I shook my head.
"She's to afraid." Jess said.
"I seriously do not want to know what you two did to her." Mom sighed. She then left the room, Paul followed her and then Lisa came back with the ice. She gave both Ariana and Jess their packs of ice.
"How bad was her face?" Lisa smiled at us.
"Really Lisa? Really?" Dad frowned.
"Yes really!" She said to him. She then looked back at us. "Now answer my question." She smiled. Dad shook his head and sighed.
"Pretty bad." All three of us smiled.
"Nice." She smiled.
"Don't encourage them, Lisa." Dad Said.
"I'm not encouraging them! I was just wondering." Lisa said. She then mouthed to us 'good job'. "I'll go find Lynn." She said. She then walked out of the room, leaving us with my dad and Johnny.
"Ariana why don't you go upstairs, so we can talk to your dad." My dad Said to my daughter. Ariana looked at me and I nodded. She quickly went upstairs to her room. "Jess,Johnny can you leave us alone to talk?" He asked my wife and manager. They both nodded and left the room.

"What dad?" I sighed.
"Justin letting your daughter beat the crap out of a grown woman wasn't the best decision." He frowned.
"Well if that's what makes her feel better, then let it be." I said.
"You aren't setting a good example for her." He said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked him.
"I'm just saying you should be careful of the decisions you make, now that you're a dad." He said.
"Are you calling me a bad father?" I asked him.
"I guess I am." He nodded. Is he serious right now? Does he really want to go there?
" I'm a great father, Dad. I have done everything for that girl. I let her in my home. I was there when she needed a shoulder to cry on. I cheated on my wife to protect her from the mistakes I made. I have been the best father I can be." I glared at him. "I'm a better father to her than you ever were to me." I said.
"Justin don't start with that." He shook his head.
"No! If you call me a bad father, I have the right to call you one." I said. "You divorced mom and left. The only time I would see you is when it was Christmas or my birthday! One of the reasons I was scared to be a father when I was younger was because I never wanted to be a father like you." I said. He looked at me and nodded.
"I did what I could when you were a kid." He said to me.
"You obviously didn't do enough." I said.
"You're right. I didn't do enough. I'm sorry for that." He sighed. I didn't accept his apology, though.
"Get out now." I pointed to the door. He nodded and sighed. He then walked out of the house. Jess, my mom and Lisa slowly came into the room.
"You heard all of that didn't you?" I asked them. They all three slowly nodded their heads.
"Justin." Mom sighed.
"Don't." I shook my head. I quickly went up the steps that led upstairs. I went to Ariana's room and knocked on the door.
"Come in." She said. I opened the door and walked in. "Hey." She smiled.
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked her.
"Sure." She nodded. I sat down next to her on her bed.
"Am I bad father to you?" I asked her.
"What? No. Of course not. You're the best." She told me.
"Really?" I smiled.
"Yeah. You're doing pretty awesome considering that I just showed up on your doorstep one day." She laughed.
"You make a good point." I laughed.
"I'm sorry about the other day when I got all mad at you for worrying about me." She apologized. "I'm just not used to the whole protective father thing yet." She laughed.
"Nah it's alright. I understand. When I was your age I didn't like my parents worrying about me either." He said.
"I kind of like the fact that you worry about me." She said.
"You do?" I asked her.
"Yeah." She nodded. "It means you care." She said.
"Well I of course care. You're my daughter." I smiled.
"Just don't worry to much." She laughed.
"I'll try my best, but I'm not making any promises." I laughed. I then got off of the bed and held my arms out in front of me. "Bring it in." I smiled. She smiled, got off her bed and hugged me.
"I love you, Dad." She said. I lightly kissed the top of her head.
"I love you too, Kid." I said.
"Best father daughter moment ever." We heard Jess say. We stopped hugging and saw Jess standing in the doorway.
"C'mon Jess!" Ariana smiled. Jess smiled and walked over to us. We then all hugged.
"Best family moment ever." Jess laughed.
She's right, it is the best family moment ever.

Mortis Operandi 1- New Hire
Thank you for reading, I have to start with that. The feedback and encouragement from RoyalRoad users helped me finish my book. I left the unedited version up as I worked on editing and making it a little more polished. However the time has come for me to put it on Amazon and hopefully let other people read the story. If you have Kindle unlimited you should be able to read the story there. If you just want to order an ebook version you can do that as well. I should have a paperback version coming up. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07T46B4NM Again thank you for reading and helping me on this journey. It hasn't ended however, my second book which I'm hoping to do well enough that reading the first isn't completely necessary, is still being worked on here, https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/24562/mortis-operandi-2--terms-and-conditions . Any feedback, comments, even critism is welcome as I work on giving you the best version of my story. I'll leave the first two chapters up here, unless Amazon says otherwise. There should be enough differences to avoid issues though. THANK YOU! Thank you! thank you! __________________________________ Adventurers enter dungeons every day. Battling evil monsters, defying dangerous terrain, triumphing over devious traps... ... but none of them ever ask why? That arrow trap, who reloads it? The pitfall trap, who cleans out the bodies and sharpens the spikes? What if the grates get clogged, where will the blood and gore drain? When you are trying to study ancient lore or plan on conquering a kingdom, you don't want to worry about all that. You just want peace. Mortis Operandi is a different kind of company. One that celebrates diversity. One that celebrates value in individuals. With flexible pay and plenty of advancement opportunities, it is a company that knows its workers are it's most valuable asset. As they design, build, and install traps, rooms, obstacles, and repair they are a one stop shop. When a possible recall sets events into motion, the company must pivot in a new paradigm of full circle Dungeon service. The Goblin Eft No-toes has a solution that entwines ex-adventurer Elric into the business of death. *Note the above statements are forward looking statements. In no way do they promote or suggest that Mortis Operandi will project greater sales or revenue. Understand that investing in a company does involve some risks, and possibly much rewards.

Title Pending Adventures of Jackson and Barbara in another world!
Jackson Ripper is transported with his class to another world. As one would expect, they are asked to fight in a pending war, much to Jackson's distain. But, a month after arriving he is separated from the rest of his classmates and loses an arm and a leg. Worse yet, the person who mutilated him clings to his side. Now, he begins travelling with this walking natural disaster in a strange new world. Author notes: This is a story I started writing roughly two years ago (roughly 2017) on a whim and started using it to improve my writing skills. As such, it's mostly wish fulfillment based loosely on anime, light/web novels and comics. But wait, why post my strange, gruesome dream world on the internet? Because, I have a goal of one day writing something worth publishing. But to reach that goal, I need criticism, suggestion and advice. Plus it feels like a waste to keep this beauty all to myself. I currently plan to release one chapter a week, on Saturday afternoon or evening.
