《Pink and Yellow - Trimberly》Chapter 11

A loud piercing ring coming from the school bell indicated class was over. My next and final class before the weekend were just a few minutes away. I grabbed the Biology Project the Pink Ranger and I spent hours working on last night. And, of course, could never forget the kiss we shared.
As I walked through the hallways full of other high schoolers, I replayed the moment over and over in my head. It almost seemed unreal. I'm not even sure she was in her right mind when she initiated the kiss. We were exhausted from the project so maybe we both weren't thinking straight. Remembering it now, I sure as hell don't regret it. But, at the same time, I don't think I could have the courage to do it again. It's no secret to me that I may have feelings for the taller girl. It crossed my mind once or twice and the staring doesn't exactly help.
I arrived just in time and slipped inside the classroom before the bell could ring. I walked to my desk and leaned the project on a wall in the back of the room. Looking around the classroom, I saw no other boards than ours. I sat down and looked in the other girl's direction. She was busy writing notes on the lesson Miss Norris was teaching that I didn't realize started. The Pink Ranger seemed to feel me staring because she glanced up and our eyes instantly met. We kept each other's gazes for a few seconds before a small smile formed on her lips and she turned back to her notes.
The class went on, the teacher writing on the board for us to copy on our notes. I actually had to pay attention to be ready for when the projects were going to be presented. When class was nearly over, I grew more confused as to why she hasn't even mentioned the assignment. It's Friday, right? This is the day it was due.
Miss Norris rambled on about the lesson and just like that, the class was over. She dismissed everyone except for us of course, the last day of detention. The room went silent and she began to grade papers. This caused me even more confusion. I turned my head toward Kimberly to see she held the same expression. She looked at me and mouthed the words 'What is happening?'. I responded by shrugging, just as confused as she was.
Minutes went by with neither of them saying a word. The teacher finally looked up, finished with grading. She smiled when she saw the questioning look on our faces. She propped her elbows on her desk and folded her hands together still not talking.

"What is going on?" I asked, annoyed with the situation.
"I see you did the assignment. Powerpoint and board all in one night, correct? Very good work." She replied, a smile never leaving her face.
"Did the other students not do the assignment? Where are all the other boards?" Kimberly chimed in.
"You girls really don't pay any attention do you?"
We shook our heads now more confused as ever. "What's going on?" I repeated.
"Well... The students didn't do the project because there wasn't any project to begin with." She answered casually. On the other hand, mine and Kimberly's jaw went slack.
"You're kidding." The Pink Ranger muttered.
"So we did all that work for nothing.?" I clarified.
"Let me explain myself." Miss Norris chuckled.
"Wonderful..." I whispered.
"There was no assignment like this. I never mentioned any project in class. But you wouldn't have known because you don't pay attention. So I lead you to believe you had to do all this for Biology. If you were listening, you wouldn't have had to do it."
"You're kidding." Kimberly breathed out again.
"Very clever." I spoke through gritted teeth.
"Hopefully you two will pay attention in my class from now on." She said proudly. "I killed two birds with one stone."
"Wait what? What was the other thing?" I asked.
"Remember when I told you that someone was going to crack you open? That someone was going to solve the puzzle?" Miss Norris smirked.
"Fuck". I said bluntly.
"What?" Kimberly looked between me and the teacher more confused as ever.
"Well, Miss Kwan..." She looked at me then to the other girl. "I sorta put her in detention with you on purpose. I know when something's up, Trini. Throughout the week, she has broken through hasn't she?"
I felt my cheeks grow warm as they turned to crimson. I hid my face by resting my head on my desk and groaned. How the hell did this teacher?... Ugh. This is so weird. My Biology teacher just played matchmaker without even knowing it. I don't know whether to bang my head against a wall or congratulate her.
"Wait you put me in detention with her on purpose?" Kimberly asked, shocked.
"Yes. About the ink on her clothes, I would've let her wash up immediately but since you spoke up, I took that as an opportunity." She shrugged.
"Well then... That definitely worked." The Pink Ranger murmured but Miss Norris heard.
"You were trying to get in detention with her weren't you?" Our teacher now grinned like a child at Christmas.

"What the hell?" My head shot up and looked at Kimberly. "So you wanted to talk to me then? After I basically ran from you like three times."
She only nodded. I bit my lip hard to stop the smile slowly forming on my face. It didn't work and in seconds I was grinning ear to ear like a dork. How was this even happening right now. The taller girl tried to hide her blush but I was able to catch it. This is the girl who never stopped thinking of me and chased me. She was patient and kind towards me in my hardest times. Even if I snapped at her. She's not going anywhere and I'm certainly not either.

"Holy shit!" I yelped, trying to recover from the blow.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I thought you were going to block it." The Pink Ranger apologized while I am still hunched over.
"No, no it's my fault. I wasn't focusing." I assured.
I held my face where Kimberly had roundhouse kicked me. This entire training session has been me getting beat. I haven't been able to pay attention and being the Pink Ranger's sparring partner isn't exactly helping the situation.
"Trini, you must stay focused." Alpha 5 lectured. "If this were a real battle, you would have been dead... Four times."
"I know, I know. I'm trying." I sighed and returned to my fighting position.
Kimberly also stood in her fighting position. We looked at each other for a while, waiting for the other to make the first move. The Pink Ranger did so by kicking below the knees in attempt to get me off balance. I barely dodged the attack and threw a punch that she blocked.
I was doing pretty well after a while until she did an insanely difficult move which caused her to flex every muscle in her body leaving me stunned. I took another blow, this time in my stomach. The force of it made me fly backwards a couple feet and resulted of me landing hard on the ground with a groan. My eyes shut, I held my aching stomach while Alpha 5 looked down at me and shook his head.
"I'm so sorry, Trini. Are you alright? How bad is it?" Kimberly ran over to my side. "I didn't mean to use the extra strength it just came out and I assumed you would dodge it or block it or something." She rambled and I chuckled earning a confused look from her.
"I'm fine, Kim. It's fine." I mumbled and smirked. "But... Who invented that move anyway? Owww." I groaned.
She sighed in relief and laughed. "I didn't know I could even pull a move like that off."
"I'm gonna have a giant bruise on my stomach now, thanks." I covered my eyes with my forearm.
"Anytime, Trini." She said and I could hear the smirk in her voice.
Alpha 5 went to fetch the other Rangers and quickly returned. Jason, Billy, and Zack looked down at me still on the floor. I removed my forearm and glanced at all of them. The boys stared at me in confusion while Kimberly bit her bottom lip to stifle a laugh. Alpha 5 looked between all of us and then walked away.
"Um... Hi?" I said and waved slightly.
Jason and Zack's jaw dropped while Billy clapped excitedly. "She talked!"
I playfully rolled my eyes. "I've been talking, just not to you guys."
"Ok. Well, hey, Crazy Girl, whatcha doin' on the floor?" Zack smirked.
I was about to answer but The Pink Ranger beat me too it. "I destroyed her ass in training."
"Welp... That's not what I was going to say." I scoffed.
"Then what were you going to say, hm?" She asked.
I opened my mouth but nothing came out. "I don't know." I sighed and Kimberly laughed.
"Yeah so... I totally killed her today." She proudly stated.
Jason, recovered from his shock, softly chuckled. "I didn't know someone could actually beat you in sparring."
"I can demolish all of you." I said pointing to the three boys. "It's just her that's difficult."
Zack smirked again. "Right 'cause you're so-" He was cut off by Jason's hand swiftly covering The Black Rangers mouth. Kimberly and I both raised an eyebrow and Zack removed Jason's hand. "Nothing." He simply said smiling.
"You're so weird." I teased and stood up, dusting off my clothes.
"Hey, we should all hang out tonight!" Billy beamed. "We should play games and watch movies."
"I'm cool with that." Jason and Zack said simultaneously.
"Yeah, sure." Kimberly smiled.
"What about you, Trini?" Jason asks and turned to me.
I thought for a few seconds. They seem so cool with me now. Not angry or disappointed. It surprised me. "I think that would be awesome." I answered grinning.

My Isekai
For those not familiar with the isekai genera, this story is about a man waking up in an unknown world. The story follows his journey and life in this world, which does not only look different on the surface, but the common norms and values of this world are very alien to the modern western mindset. How will this average western person respond to such a world, and how will it change him. For those familiar with isekai, this is a western take on a predominantly Japanese story format. It draws a lot of inspiration from Japanese isekai, but it also tries to tackle a lot of tropes that might be annoying to the western mindset. The story is not written for young boys as the story tries to take a mature take on some typical clichés and assumptions made by both the typical writer and reader of the genera.
