It's been exactly three months since I started my job and let me tell you it's going great, I made a lot of friends who are my colleagues, one of them being Louis, and the other one, his significant other Harry

one of the funniest dudes you'd ever meet

My relationship with Luca also have been changing, and developing a lot... We broke the "boss and employee" type of relationship just one week after I started my job...I've been to his apartment like fifty times already, most of the times were for dinner, where later we discussed stuff about work

He took me to the movies three times, and we visited one of his clubs in another state last month.. Fun times..

He's nothing like I had imagined or how Andrés had described him when he first told me about him... Yes he's very intimidating but he haven't shown me a rude or mean side of him.. Yet.

He's been nothing but a complete gentleman, he's also really fun to just spend your time with...finally a decent human in my life

Also I'm catching up pretty quickly at work, which feels awesome, the independency kicked in and it's one of the best feelings ever.

But even with all of this great process, and how great I feel about my new life's track, something feels very off inside of me, I feel like there's vacancy, I feel empty.

Perhaps it's because I haven't seen Noah since the last time he stopped by to see me on the first day of my job, he never stopped to see me ever again

What hurts is that he's been coming here, but he goes straight to Luca's apartment, how I know that is because I've seen his car parked, over five times.

It's like I don't even live here, poof I vanished from his life completely

Isn't that what I wanted? No not really but it's what I had showed him

This is what I get for developing feelings for a psychotic, sadistic, dangerous, heartless and a ruthless mafia man

I shouldn't have fallen for him, how could I? He was nothing but a complete d*ck to me! He always mistreated me, how did I allow myself to have feelings for such a horrible monster?

No.. No he's not a monster, he had a side buried so deep, a side that makes you fall in love with it, that caring, overprotective, sweet side. Which he never showed to anyone, but me. At least I suppose he never did..

Why am I still dwelling on the past?

Putting Noah aside, I miss viola so much, and Andrés

I wish I could go back...

Go back? No no, what human in his right mind would go back to a prison willingly?

Also you have such a great man in your life now, Luca is the perfect package

I'm happy about my relationship with Luca, and I believe it'll develop even more... If I allow that to happen

He hinted twice about how he thinks he's finally ready to "settle in" and find "the right woman" to be by his side...

I let out a loud groan and finally decided to quite bickering with myself and go find something to do

Just I as took out my phone, an iPhone that Luca bought for me a month ago, I heard the doorbell and jumped up excitedly to see who was at the door

Who is it going to be dumbass, either Luca or Luca.

I opened the door and much to my surprise I squealed so loud and started jumping from happiness

"VIOLA OH MY GOD" I shrieked and instantly pulled her in a huge bear hug, squishing her body

"DRIANAAAA, boothangggg I missed youu!!" She said while still hugging me

I finally let her go and closed the door behind her

"Omg how?! How are you here what the hell happened in this world!!" I kept jumping excitedly

"Hahahah Gurl calm down, I'm getting dizzy"

"Right sorry but whatever tell me!" I finally stopped jumping and pulled her inside the living room, and we both plumped down on my big bean chair

"Well, I came here with Noah, don't ask me what I did to convince him to bring me here with him but it worked!"

"Wait wait wait what? Noah is negotiating? Not just ordering and saying his final words? And wait hold up, you had the b*lls to talk to him? What the hell is going on here... Omg did you mention he's here? Where is he? Did he leave? Shit I need to breath" I rambled so quickly that I was out of breath

"You've got major rapping skills, you could beat Eminem, that was the fastest sh*t I have ever heard.." She said sarcastically

I narrowed my eyes at her joke "haha, why thank you lol, now answer me!"

WHY ISNT SHE ANSWERING ME?!

"Ok ok chill with your Latin ass, Noah have changed a lot in the past three months, there aren't anymore rules except for basic ones, we barely even see him he's always out, he's been drinking a hell lot, so he isn't really minding us... Which is a blessing and a curse because ever since, Yolanda have been bossing us around, can you believe that white ass hoe kept boasting and saying that she's the reason you left? That Noah doesn't even need you anymore?" She stopped to take a breath and I was just listening intently, pretty shocked with what I was hearing

"Anyway don't worry sweet cheeks, I avenged, knew she was allergic to egg yolk so I mixed it with her shampoo, conditioner, body gel, food, throat... And yea she ended up at the hospital for two weeks... Noah have been showing a sudden interest in her, business at his club have been tremendously profitable because of her" she finished and I was just nodding

Aha...

"Oh yea also, Noah is here, at Luca's... Apparently there's this event tonight that they're both attending, for common business" she said and my eyes snapped to the door

I wanted to leave this apartment and head straight to Luca's to see him

I want to face him, I want to f*cking slap him for turning into an alcoholic, I want to scold him for everything, literally everything!

But under what power? I can't do any of that... I can't

But I want to lay my eyes on him, just for a quick glance

"Adriana... I have a question for you" viola snapped me back from my reverie, her tone changed quickly

"Hm?" I looked at her, her expression showed nothing but pure worry and sympathy

"Are you okay? Are you even happy like this? How's it going?" She asked so sincerely

I mean yea I'm happy can't she see that?

"Viola, I'm very happy with my life now, I'm independent and I'm free, I can do whatever I want, I have a roof over my head, a high wage.. nice company... Why wouldn't I be happy?"

"Nothing.. But I'm glad to hear you say that, even though there was a hint of uncertainty in there, I know you girl, you're not very happy as you claim... Right?" She said placing her hand over mine, my eyes shot to her and I gave her a confused look, at least I could try and pretend that what she said made no sense and that I was honestly happy

"Don't give me this look, you know that what I'm saying is true, tell me what's wrong?" She persisted

"Viola, I told you everything is great, there's nothing to worry about... Maybe I'm a bit nostalgic that's all" I said loudly and clearly

"Fine, well then I'm honestly so happy for you and you shouldn't be feeling nostalgic at all, you're lucky you're free, you make your own rules now.. You are respected by everyone now, and not treated like a slave, be grateful" she said and wrapped her arms around me, pulling me in sideways hug

My eyes teared up when I hugged her back, I wanted to tell her everything I'm feeling

But I myself still ain't sure about how I feel and about what I really want...

viola really has a point though, I shouldn't be even questioning if I want to stay here

Ofc I want to stay here, stay like this. Honestly I'm so dumb

Letting my heart think for me.

When viola pulled away I tried to wipe the tears that managed to form in my eyes without her noticing but I failed

"What the f*ck why are you crying?!"

"I'm just really hungry man, can we go out and grab something to eat?!" I asked, changing my tone and giving a g*d damn reasonable reason as to why I shed some tears

"Hahahaha, you haven't changed one bit, well let me go ask Noah if I'm allowed to go" she said and stood up from her seat, I simultaneously stood up just as she mentioned Noah

Viola gave me a very confused look

"Uhm want to come with me?" She said amusingly

"Yeah sure whatever" I shrugged trying not to sound too excited or like this matters to me at all

"Mhm... The numbers of lies that left your mouth today are bigger than the number of times Paolo made me scream.. And trust that's a lot.. ;)" she winked and I stood there shocked

How.. What the hell viola what happened to her

But I couldn't help but burst out laughing, shit it's the first time ever that I hear her say anything dirty

"Viola this is why I love you" I said after my fit of laughter died and she smirked "I know"

"NOW let's goooo" she screamed and I straightened up quickly and made my way to the main door with viola right behind me

I opened it and I got out quicker than the rapping verse of your favorite rapper

"I see... You seem not excited at allllll" viola said sarcastically from behind me and I just grinned at her

She closed the door behind her and we starting walking down the hall together until we reached the elevators, I quickly pressed the button and eagerly waited for it to reach this floor

"Adriana if you could only see yourself right now, like a five your old kid on Christmas Day" viola said and I just looked at her and shrugged it off

Once the elevator was here I quickly got in with viola and pressed the button to reach 4th floor

We quickly reached it and got out

"Wait.. Did we seriously just take the lift to go one floor up?!" Viola said and I looked at her and grinned goofily

"What I'm a lazy sloth! I ain't gonna use the stairs when there's this baby here" I defended myself and continued strolling down the hall, past three apartments

Luca's apartment was the 9th one to the left

"You're unbelievable" she snorted and I didn't bother to deny that

My breathing hitched when I finally reached his apartment and stood in front of the door

His apartment is a three story one, it goes up to the 7th floor

Viola instantly rang the bell and I stood there shocked

Wait no I wasn't readyyyy

Moments later the door opened revealing the person I've been dying to see the most, but I somehow forgot how to breathe, I wasn't expecting him to open the door

When he saw me he froze, and we kept staring at each other, transfixed

Damn.. He grew his f*cking beard! He looks way.. way sexier and I didn't think a human was able to look this gorgeous and sexy

It hurt me a lot looking at him

Its been way too long since the last time my eyes saw his, it's unfair.

Our staring competition broke when a figure appeared behind Noah

"Adriana, hey it's good that you're here I was about to go down to see you" Luca said when his eyes landed on me

I averted my eyes from Noah's to Luca's, Noah snapped out of his trans and moved out of the way allowing Luca to pass

I was about to speak but Noah caught my attention by clearing his throat loudly then looked at Luca and said "I'll see you tonight then, hopefully we'll nail a deal with The Shepherds"

"See you later then, oh also don't forget to bring company, perhaps this fine lady over there" Luca smirked, his eyes were fixed on someone behind Noah, I looked in that direction and mentally slapped myself for forgetting that viola was here

Oh wait.. We came up here for a reason

"Finally somebody noticed my presence.. Also thank you for the compliment" viola smiled at Luca and he winked back in response

Wow major change in character

"Hah, don't worry about that Luca, now...let's go viola" Noah said and then just like that he turned around and started walking away

"It was nice catching up with you babygirl, I'll try to visit you again soon" viola said and we hugged then she sprinted after Noah, leaving me and Luca alone

"Uhm so you mentioned you were going down to see me.. Why? Everything's fine?" I asked to break the awkwardness

And also to distract my mind from overthinking about what just occurred...

"Yes, perfecto, but I was going down because I wanted to ask you something, come in get in we'll discuss this inside" he said and motioned for me to get inside and I did

We settled down in his living room

"Go on, you got me curious"

"Oh yeah right, but first do you want something to drink?" He asked and I shook my head no, he just nodded and continued speaking

"Anyway, so there's this event tonight hosted by one of the biggest family names in business, they're top #1, the Massarotti at #4 and mine Di Vaio at #3, oh fun fact, your family was top #15 .. Going back to my main topic, the event tonight is very important, Noah and I are going to try and make a deal with The Shepherds, they're the hosts of the event, its like a party I assume that's the word best to describe it for you.." He stopped for a moment then went on "I wanted to ask you if you'd like to come with me tonight, as my date, since I'm not so fond of any another women in my life at the moment, besides you'll enjoy it, better than staying home, no?" He said and I gave him a small smile

"That's sweet of you, for thinking about me and well yes sure I'd love to go with you, besides aren't I your assistant at work? Need to be by your side when get that business deal" I winked and he let out a small laugh and grinned at me

"Why thank you for agreeing and for being the best assistant to ever exist, what a lucky man I am" he said and I felt heat crawl to my cheeks

"Aw haha you flatter me" I blushed

He stood up from his seat and walked towards me, then stood in front of me and grabbed my hand pulling me up with it, he then brought it next to his face and kissed the back of it "you deserve all the compliments in the world mi amor" he said and my heart fluttered

Omg he's so sweet and ahakajakajakah shit my tiny heart can't deal

I then did something out of nowhere, I stood on my tiptoes and kissed his cheek, I pulled away and whispered "gracias" in his ear, which lead him to wrap his strong arms around my waist, pulling me closer, his hot breath was fanning my face

Our lips were a few inches away, his lips were so tempting, his strong cologne was intoxicating, and his strong firm on my body was making me hot, my hormones were on a rollercoaster

It was just.. One more millimetre

But I moved away quickly

Luca looked at me with a surprised and a frustrated look and his brows knitted together, but before he could say anything and make this even more awkward I faked a sneeze to cover up why I moved away so quickly when I was giving in

"Gosh finally! it was so itchingggggg" I said loudly letting out a sigh of relief then looked at Luca who was now watching me with an amused look on his face

"Could've sneezed on your face, I didn't. I'm so nice, don't I deserve a raise for this?!" I joked to clear away any remaining tension or awkwardness

And it worked because Luca started laughing

"You're unbelievable mi amor" he said with a grin playing on his lips

"I know I know... So yep anyway, about tonight.. I should go get myself ready, need to shower, choose an outfit.. Eat! You know I can't do all that on an empty stomach" I said and straightened myself, ready to leave when he let out yet another small laugh

"Adriana what empty stomach, we had breakfast together this morning!" Luca said in disbelief and I just shrugged

"Whatever they got digested, it's been like five hours! And I tend to get hungry every ten minutes" I defended myself

"Relax bella I was joking" he said placing his hands on my shoulders and squeezing them, then he released

"Right will do... Anyway I should really get going, I'll see you tonight! Adiós!" I said and turned around ready to leave

Luckily he didn't stop me just said "surely bonita, adiós" from behind

When I finally got out of the apartment and got inside mine I let out something I've been repressing for too long now, just to not embarrass myself in front of a potential bae.

I farted.

I stared at my reflection in disbelief, wow. I did such a good job on getting all dolled up, can I get a whistle of appreciation

I grabbed my perfume and splashed it in all the right places

When the scent hit my nostrils my mind flashed back to earlier today, remembering Luca's strong cologne and how I almost kissed him but backed away like an idiot.. I was scared to be honest. I might've stopped it from happening this time, but next time I'm giving in

My mind drifted to Noah, he treated me like a complete nobody today, like I was invisible. But he saw me, he damn gazed at me, but he just didn't say anything.. Nothing at all.

It hurt like hell I won't deny it

And this, this is one of the main reasons I agreed on going tonight, I want to treat him the same way he treated me today, I want to see him and pretend like he's not even there, like he's a complete nobody

I took one last look at my beautiful attire...damn can somebody slap that ass for me or do I have to do it to myself?

I grabbed my clutch, turned around and left the room, closing the door behind me

I smirked once I heard the doorbell ring

This b*tch is ready to snatch,

I thought just as I unlocked and opened the door...
