She understands my unsaid words. My past is something that I don't really talk about, I run from it maybe because if I start to think about it the more it hurts. It still haunts me everyday, every night and the worst part is that I let it haunt me until I am left with nothing but a broken heart.
I really wanted to tell naina everything but something held me back i couldn't, I just couldn't. Maybe there's still some time for me to tell everything.
When she rested her head on my shoulder and held my hand in hers all I felt was home.
Her words acted like magic and somehow I slept without letting my past haunt me. The fact that she is sleeping right next to me was making me so calm.

Next day,
"Morning!" I wished khyati and Naina as they were having their breakfast
Mrs. Miller served my breakfast. I ate quietly while both of them were busy watching something on Khyati's phone. They were giggling and whispering something to each other.
"What are you both watching?" I asked
"Oh, nothing" naina replied
"Come on, tell me also"
"Nothing much, bhaiya" khyati said while keeping her phone aside
There definitely is something wrong with both of these. They stared at each other and giggled again at their inside jokes.
"Naina. Khyati. Just tell me what's making you both laugh so much?" I asked getting annoyed
None of them replied, both of them kept a straight face and controlled theirs for a few seconds before laughing again. I couldn't help but chuckle.
---
Khyati left for her room, leaving us alone.
"If you don't mind, today onwards can I pick up and drop you?" I asked
"That's so sweet of you But, you might be late for your work" she said
"You don't have to worry about it." I said and she nodded her head slightly. To which i smiled at her
"You should smile more often, you look cute" naina commented
Cute? seriously?
"Is that the adjective you give to a hot man like me?" I asked raising my eyebrows

"Well, the truth is to be said, Mr. Singhania." She stated "And what's wrong with that adjective huh?"
"I like cute men" she blunted
"These days you are speaking a lot of truths mrs. Singhania" i taunted
"Aren't we getting late?" She reminded
"Nope, not at all i am the boss i go whenever I want" i replied
"let me remind i don't own any company I work for someone so, i have to be on time and I don't like wasting my time" she said
"I don't think we are any wasting time in fact we are utilising it in the most effective way" i remarked
"And how is that so?" She asked
"We are getting to know each other more and it is important for a healthy relationship" i answered
She was about to say something when her phone started to ring
"It's Arjun"
This man has a wish to die early I guess. Can't he let me live in peace with my wife for some damn time
"hello Arjun"
"Sorry, i am on my way"
"I will there in 5 minutes"
"Yeah I understand"
"Okay"
"Bye, see you"
"I told you I am not the boss, i can't go and come whenever I want" she spoke immediately after ending the call "Arjun is scolding me for being irregular"
"Who the fuck is he to scold you" i fumed at her "Is he abusing you, you can tell me naina" i asked "is he bothering you" i frowned deeply "tell me damn it" my anger kept on raising when she didn't say anything
"Shut up, just shut up. Everytime I try to speak, you are cutting me off. Let me speak" she said angrily "and no Arjun is not abusing me or something. Why would he hurt me huh? He is my friend, dhruv" she told
"Fuck your friendship" i said furiously
"Stop cursing" she snapped
"Why? My wish I can curse whom ever i want and whenever I am want"
"Typical men" she muttered under her breath
"Aren't you getting late now? Arjun might be waiting for you?" I asked getting pissed

"Dhruv i told you he is only friend" she stated
This friend thing again, i ignored and started to walk away but she held my arm, preventing me from walking
"What happened now? Just a few minutes before you were laughing make joke now look at your face as if you going for war, angry and grumpy" she frowned
"Naina i am getting late, leave me" i yanked her hand
"I am not leaving you" she said adamantly "let's clear this here itself i don't want ruin our day."
"You take all your anger at your employees and you will not answer my calls too and you will definitely skip your lunch see now our whole day gets spoiled" she remarked "and i don't want that to happen let's talk and clear things"
"I know you have a problem with Arjun" she continued after taking a pause "i have been noticing. Dhruv, trust me–"
Naina, how do I tell you that, there's no one in the world I trust more than you
"there's nothing between me and him we are just colleagues and friends that's it" she added
"I am sorry. I was just overthinking" i apologised
"Of Course you were" she mocked "and promise me you won't ever walk out of a conversation"
"I promise"
"You can't break it now"
"I won't"
"Now if we are done clearly with all the mess let's go. Both of us are getting late" Naina reminded
---
I was driving the car while she sat in the passenger seat. There was soft background music as Naina turned the radio on.
"Everytime we have a fight let's just talk to each other and clear it then and there itself" she told
"You mean you are gonna fight with me everytime" i asked
"No i didn't mean that way–
"Chill, i was just kidding"

"How did you react when your parents asked you to marry me?" I asked
The day had already come to an end, the sun was already set and all the birds were returning to their homes. while me and naina came back to the same place we came yesterday night. This place felt like an escape from everything.
"Why are you asking me this? I mean out of nowhere?" She asked
"It's just, i wanted to know what your thoughts when your parents told you about the proposal" i answered
"Seriously? I said no. A big NO. But they had their ways'' she said "emotional drama. And it obviously worked"
"Ofcourse, else we both wouldn't be standing here talking about it" i spoke, she chuckled
"Yeah, so I was sure that I wasn't ready for all this stuff you know, about marriage and husband, a family. I never thought about it. All i wanted was to be a good doctor and that day I got the best job offer i could ever ask for" she continued
"That night I got an email from India's best hospital. I was so excited but all that vanished when my parents told me about the proposal" she added "I couldn't refuse them, so i had say yes but i was mad at my parents and myself, i felt so helpless but later sara made me look at the bright side of it and it felt so right"
"What was your reaction?" She asked after a small pause
"It was the same. I instantly said no but they used the same weapon against me too" i replied
"Emotional drama" she answered for me
"Yeah, there was no way left except to say yes. but I knew I wasn't ready for it ." I continued
"I was a little shocked, when my parents told me that you accepted the proposal. I mean who on the earth would say yes without even meeting the family and the person she was getting married to" I added "So, I thought you would be a gold digger or some rich spoilt brat who wanted all the money and fame. Now, I know how wrong I was. You the most loyal and trustworthy person, i know" i explained
She looked at me and gave a genuine smile
---
"Do you regret getting married, Naina?"
"I will never regret marrying you, Dhruv. You were best thing that happened to me"
