Alex followed closely behind Thor and Loki, allowing them to inspect the scene themselves. Thor walked over to Odin, as Loki and Alex stayed behind the man.
"Father?" Thor broke the silence.
Odin was faced forward, looking at the ocean in front of them. He wore human clothes, and still had an eyepatch on.
"Look at this place. It's beautiful." The Allfather replied.
Okay, Alex thought, definitely senile.
"Father, it's us." Thor tried again.
"My sons," Odin spoke. "I've been waiting for you. And you've brought Alex; how is the immortality holding?"
"Good, your Highness," She replied. She was relieved that Odin never had any real animosity toward her.
"We've come to take you home."
"Home, yes. Your mother, she calls me. Do you hear it?"
"Loki, lift your magic." Thor was beginning to sound angry.
Odin shook his head, however. "Took me quite a while to break free from your spell. Frigga would have been proud. Come and sit with me, I don't have much time."
The two men sat with their father on a nearby rock, and Alex stayed behind. She began to feel intrusive of their moment, but Loki motioned for her to stand next to him.
"I know that we failed you, but we can make this right," Thor said.
"I failed you," Odin disagreed. "It is upon us, Ragnarok."
"No, I've stopped Ragnarok, I've put an end to Surtur."
"No, it has already begun. She's coming. My life was all that held her back, but my time has come. I cannot keep her away any longer."
Loki and Thor shared a confused look.
"Father, who are you talking about?" Thor inquired.
"The Goddess of Death. Hela. My first born. Your sister."
Alex suddenly felt like she had fallen into a telenovela.
"Holy shit," She blurted.
Once all three men turned to look at her, she covered her mouth. "Sorry, sorry, family moment, my bad."
"What?" Thor shook his head.
"Her violent appetites grew beyond my control. I couldn't stop her, so I imprisoned her. Locked her away. She draws her strength from Asgard, and once she gets there, her powers will be limitless."
"Whatever she is, we can stop her. We can face her together."
Odin turns to look Thor in the eye. "No, we won't. I'm on a different path now. This you must face alone."

The Allfather began to struggle to breathe. "I love you, my sons."
Alex began to feel sad for the two, as Odin began to drift.
"Look at that," His weak voice spoke. "Remember this place, Home."
Odin dissipated before their eyes, and Alex placed her hand gingerly on Loki's shoulder. He brought his hand to hers, and she gave it a gentle squeeze. Much like she did at Frigga's funeral, before they had a bond at all.
The sky began to darken, and the wind picked up. Thor stood up, his breathing heavy. He turned toward Loki, and Alex knew that face.
"Thor, calm down."
"This was your doing, Loki."
Behind them, a black cloud began to form. They all walked toward it to assess what it was. Thor slammed the umbrella down, changing his clothes into Asgardian armor, with Loki changing as well. The umbrella formed back into Mjölnir.
Out of the dimensional rift walked a woman, with pale skin and jet-black hair. She wore a black suit, with cut-outs on her shoulders. She looked at them with a conniving smirk.
"So he's gone?" She spoke, her velvety voice giving Alex the shivers. "That's a shame, I would've liked to have seen that,"
Thor was the first to speak. "You must be Hela. I'm Thor, son of Odin."
"Really? You don't look like him,"
"Perhaps we can reach an agreement." Loki spoke.
"You sound like him," Hela's eyes landed on Alex. "Are you a daughter of Odin?"
"Do I look like I came from Odin?" Alex retorted.
Hela laughed. "You've got fire, and Odin's quite boring, so you must be separate."
"What was that supposed to mean?" Loki asked Alex, referring to her comment.
"Kneel," Hela commanded.
"Beg your pardon," Loki almost chuckled.
"Kneel, before your queen." She drew a sword that had many ridges.
"I don't think so." Thor replied.
"Okay." Alex held her hand out, freezing Hela in place with ease. "So, you two already had your little power battle, and now we have to deal with that, but with her? I mean, you have a sister? For fuck's sake--"
Hela broke from the freeze just as easily as it was placed on her. Alex's eyes widened with fear.
"I didn't quite like that, but it was impressive."

"I'm done with this." Thor hurled his hammer toward her, but to all of their shock, she stopped it with her hand. It tried to continue its path, but Hela's grip didn't falter.
"It's not possible," Thor choked out.
Loki pushed Alex behind him.
"Darling, you have no idea what's possible." Hela smirked.
And in the blink of an eye, she shattered Mjölnir into pieces. Alex's jaw dropped, and she looked back up to see Hela transform her hair into some weird headpiece. The woman began to walk toward them menacingly, and they were absolutely fucked.
"Bring us back!" Loki yelled into the sky, clutching Alex's hand.
"No!" Thor yelled, but it was too late.
They were sucked into the Bifrost, the array of colors surrounding them. But, as soon as they looked down, Hela was ascending with them. Loki flung a dagger at her, but she caught it and sent it flying right back.
The sheer force knocked Loki out of the Bifrost, and having been holding Alex's hand, yanked her out with him.
Alex's stomach dropped, but the next thing she knew she saw black.
✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦
Her eyes jolted open, and she struggled to move. Her hands were bound, as were her feet. She was in a chair, and it was moving forward. She felt as though she was in some kind of simulation, as her chair moved forward into a starry picture.
"Fear not, for you are found." A woman's voice said. "You are home, and there is no going back. No one leaves this place."
"Ah, shit." Alex huffed.
"But, what is this place? The answer is: Sakaar. Surrounded by cosmic gateways, Sakaar lives on the edge of the known and unknown."
The picture in front of her was beautiful, it had every color and star in the planet surrounding her chair.
"It is the collection point for all lost and unloved things. Like you. But here on Sakaar, you are significant. Here, you are loved. And no one loves you more than the grandmaster."
Alex watched the silhouette of a man arrive on Sakaar in the image in front of her.
"Where once you were nothing, now you are something. You are the property of the Grandmaster." The voice continued. "Congratulations! You will meet the Grandmaster in five seconds,"
The tunnel began to speed up, flashing random lights and images in Alex's face.
"Prepare yourself. Prepare yourself. You are now meeting the Grandmaster."
Alex was on the verge of a full on panic attack as her chair was sending her through this magical tunnel. She then was in the middle of a room, and a singular man stared back at her.
He had silver hair, and face paint. His clothes were colorful, and he sat in a comfortable-looking chair.
"Ah, this is good." He spoke. "This is a good find."
"Where the hell am I?" Alex spoke.
"Was the little voiceover not educational enough? I'll have to check that out. This is Sakaar, um, welcome."
The man was definitely weird. He had guards around him, and two women whose job was apparently just to sit there and look pretty. Behind the Grandmaster, Alex could see the city. There were flying cars, and very eccentric looking buildings.
"You are quite the prize," He spoke, inspecting her. "We'll get you into the lounge, would you get her a different outfit?"
He spoke to a woman who stood beside him, as if waiting to be instructed.
"Of course, Grandmaster."
"You will be a fine addition to Sakaar." The Grandmaster bowed his head to Alex, who awkwardly nodded.
Alex's wrist shackles were suddenly released, and she gratefully rubbed her wrists. She stood up, and followed the woman out of the room. She took in her surroundings, and was utterly confused. She had no clue where she was, and as far as she was concerned, she was alone.
"You can take these and change, and your room is on the 3rd floor. You can get your key in the lounge, and simply enjoy yourself." The manly woman spoke.
Alex nodded, holding her new outfit in her hands. If you could even call it that.
She went into the small room that she was brought to, and changed briskly. The outfit was all gold, much to her disdain. It featured a bikini-like top, with a high waisted skirt that had a sort of shawl over it. Needless to say, she felt very exposed. She slipped on the gold, tie-up sandals, and left the room.
She got lost on the way to the lounge, but finally found it at the end of the hallway. It was falloff people, talking and drinking. There was a DJ, to Alex's confusion, and large windows that overlooked the city. The atmosphere would almost be enjoyable if she wasn't completely lost.
But, to her right, she saw the most amazing sight she could've seen, sitting by himself.
Loki.

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
