I hit the road jamming to my favorite playlist made just for when I'm on a road trip..

Heading back home from this short lived but much deserved vacation that was anything short from amazing.. I had just reached Virginia..

I'm so used to being on the road I loved it.. Just a country girl and her music..

What is usually a 26 hour process for most, I knock out in 20..

That's only because when I'm on the road I don't play.. I go hard, no stopping unless it's for gas.. But this time I just wanted to cruise.. And Virginia was SO beautiful! Especially West Virginia, one of the most cleanest places I ever been..

My phone started ringing it was Candice..

I answered through my car Bluetooth:

"Tell me something good baby!"

I said sipping on my peach tea..

"Nothing bout it, just left the studio with Aug.. Where you at baby?"

"On my way to the lone star doll!"

"Damn Girl! I don't know why you just don't take a plane like everybody else.."

"You know how I feel about planes Candii.. Plus.."

She interrupted me..

"I KNOW! I KNOW! How can you experience anything if you always in the air above it.. You're such a hippie.."

"Yup! That's right, plus I save more money this way.. I only spend 150 on gas coming and going how much is your plane ticket?"

"Soo what! I can afford it.."

"Exactly.."

"So what state you in?.. I thought you was supposed to be leaving yesterday I been blowing up your phone all last night.. You ain't hit me back, what's up with that.."

I smiled feeling that sun hit my face as it started to set..

"I know, I'm sorry boo.. I'm in VA right now.. I was just a little preoccupied at the time that's all.. I was gonna stay a whole other day to but.."

I paused thinking about everything..

"But what!!?"

"Buuut.. Duty called.."

"Mmhhmm.. Soo let me get this straight.. Your vacation was for 3 days.. And you were supposed to originally leave out yesterday day morning but you stayed instead and was also planning on staying another night.. What's really going on?"

"Girl who you posta be, Inspector Gadget or somethin'!"

"Hell nah! But I am Candice Walker.. Your best friend since the SECOND GRADE! And I know when something is up.. You way too punctual to just stay over time.. So what's the real deal.."

"Girl Chill! Be cool, you be trippin too much and over thinking sometimes.."

"OOO MMM to the FUCKING G!

You got dick didn't you?"

"Girl I don't know what you talking about.."

"Yes you do! You know exactly what I'm talking about.. You fucked! And it was good to wasn't it?"

"Candii it's not even like that.."

"Yeah WHATEVA! This is about to be a conference call cause you bullshiting.. hold on I'm bout to call Hunter and don't hang up either!"

"Alright Dang.."

I said rolling my eyes relieved that traffic finally cleared out..

She finally clicked back over..

"Hellooo.."

I knew it was Hunter..

"Yeah Girl ISSA conference call get Sherry's ass on the line ASAP!"

Candice said..

"Okay hold up.."

"Candii you are so extra sometimes!"

"No you extra I can't believe you weren't gonna tell me you, FINALLY! Got some dick.."

Hunter clicked back in..

"What's the Damn deal.."

Sherry said..

"What's up girl issa conference call.."

Hunter said..

"What's good Sher?

It's Candii girl..

And I had to call Hunter so she can call you we on a 4 way.."

"Ohhh shit this must be juicy.."

Sherry said laughing..

"It sure is!!

..ya girl stayed in Philly past her 3 day mark..

she wasn't even planning on coming back either she was gonna stay and extra, extra day.."

Candice said..

"WHAAAT!"

Sherry and Hunter said in unison..

"Yes bitches..."

Candii said..

I just kept quiet cause apparently Candice knows more about my OWN story than me..

"Ohhh shit that could only one mean one thing.."

Hunter said..

"Yup! My girl finally got some dick.. BOUT TIME WE SO PROUD OF YOU!"

Sherry said..

"Yup she sure did and I bet it was that fine ass chocolate nigga from the lobby.. Y'all know he asked her on a date right?"

Candice said..

"It has to be.. He was sizing you up like a clothing rack girl.. How was it?"

Hunter said all excited..

"Nah it wasn't him that nigga got a baby.."

Sherry said..

"A BABY! Oh HELL NAH! No baby mama drama sis!!"

Candice said..

"Damn that's ashame all that sexiness gone down the drain.. But wait who was it?.."

Hunter said..

"Come on now y'all it had to be Yazz.. Cause I know it wasn't Julius fool ass.. Plus when I was talking to her he called on the other line and I haven't heard from her since!"

Sherry said

"YAZZ!!!"

Candice and Hunter said in unison..

"Can all of y'all just relax and let me tell MY STORY!

Please and thank you.."

"My bad girl, we just so happy for you.. Okay go ahead and don't leave out ANYTHING!"

Candice said..

"Okay so after I was getting what I had to say off my chest to Julius I left and called Brandon to see if he still wanted to go out.. But then after I found out he was a father that was a dub!.. so in the mist of talking to Sherry, Bryshere hits me up like; hey if you not busy come thru basically.. So of course I'm down.. He told me to pack some clothes and his driver took me to his house.."

"His house?"

They all said in unison..

"Yup! And it's really nice too.. By the way that nigga got a talking shower but that's another story for another day.. So long story short we get high and listen to music all night.. We vibed out real hard.. well next thing you know he's ordering pizza and I'm taking a shower.. I get out and instead of eating the pizza..

We had each other.."

"That is SO romantic.."

Hunter said..

"But Wait! Why'd you leave than?.."

Candice asked..

I sighed

"Because he had to leave earlier than expected and go do and interview in LA.."

"Wait a minute you sound a little sad.. You like him don't you Reign?.."

Candice said

"Come on y'all.. it's not like that.. I mean we cool, it's just I know he gotta get back to the life and I know what that comes with.. I don't expect anything, I knew what this was when I decided to give into him.."

I said trying to put my feelings to the side..

"Soo what did he say the next morning?"

Candice said..

"Well. He was really sweet and such a gentleman.. We were all up on each other when his manager started to blow him up right.. So I told him to answer, cause you gotta handle your business.. so after his manager told him he'll have to leave in an hour; he basically said he had fun.. He enjoyed spending time with me and to call him as soon as I hit the road.."

"And did you call him?"

Hunter asked..

"Nah..."

I said switching lanes..

"Sooo he wants you to call and you didn't! I think you like him Reign.. And from what I'm hearing he likes you A WHOLE LOT.. so don't play around... You never know.."

Sherry said..

"I know Sher!"

"Alright baby well we love you! Drive safely PLEASE!! And call us as soon as you touch down.. We love you girl!"

Candice said..

"I love y'all too.."

"And CALL HIM!"

Hunter said..

"Okay, Okay.."

I said knowing I wasn't going to call him..

"Bye Hoes!"

I said...

"BYYYYEEE!"

They all said in unison..

I shook my head..

turning up my music enjoying the highway...
