《Need A Bandage For That?, Ukai X Reader》13 Office visit

"Come in." I called out from my office.
It was another day of work. Today was going pretty slow, two nurse-school students were supposed to come next week so I had to deal with their school's paperwork.
I don't think even my school had this much stuff to read and sign through.
Suddenly, the door calmly opened which was unusual from the normal injured students who'd burst through the door.
"Hi, how's it going miss school nurse?"
My eyes shot towards the source as I immediately recognized the teasing tone and a remark which couldn't be added any other than Ukai.
"Hi, I'm working so if you don't have any injuries you can walk back out." I shot back at him which made him freeze in his step, rethinking if I was serious or joking.
If was the first time he came to my office himself, usually if he needed something from me, he'd send someone from the team to deliver whatever message he needed.
"Or I can break one of your bones if you want so desperately to be here." I smirked, my eyes playfully scanning which bone on his body would be the easiest to break.
"Is that a threat?" A smile was tugging at his lips when he noticed I was in a good mood and not actually angry that he was here.
"More of a recommendation I'd say." I leaned back in my chair and crossed my arms.
As fun as it was, this conversation wasn't going anywhere and I was getting more curious about why he was here.
"Breaking bones aside, what do you need from me? You can sit down if you want." I instructed him as the muscles in my neck were starting to hurt from having to look up at him from my chair for so long.

Before Ukai answered me, he looked around for any chair to sit in. As I was occupying the only chair in the room and the only other place to sit was the medical bed, he hesitantly sat there.
As he got comfortable, he looked around a bit and chuckled.
I furrowed my eyebrows at his weird behavior.
"What, what is it." I sounded a bit more annoyed than I wanted.
His eyes finally returned to me, a fond smile was painting his face which confused me even more.
When he saw my puzzled expression he finally spoke.
"How is it, that your office is so clean? It's quite the difference from your house."
He couldn't just stop teasing me, could he?
I stood up and huffed.
As I was making my steps towards him, I noticed his confused expression.
"That's it, go, go, get out." I murmured between my attempts to push him off the bed and towards the door but his bulky body wouldn't budge.
My face was getting red and I was murmuring more commands to him as I held onto his bicep and tried my best to pull it towards me.
After a moment I felt his body jolt as he started loudly laughing.
"Argh, it's not funny, go." I held my determination but was losing my strength quickly.
Suddenly his hands started moving and then grabbed both of my wrists to stop my senseless behavior.
"Y/N calm down, I was only joking, don't take it so seriously, hm?" He said between laughs with me struggling now to get out of his hold.
Seeing that his words went completely over my head, he pulled my hands above my head to restrict my movement and make me finally focus on him.
"Y/N, will you listen to me or do I have to gain your attention with something else?" He tried again to make me focus.

I gave my arms a few failed pulls and then my body gave up.
My annoyed eyes finally met his and I huffed.
"I'm paying attention, now let me go." I pulled once again but without success. My face was getting hot. I didn't know if it was from the struggling or the gaze Ukai had while looking at me.
"Yes, but you still aren't calm so breathe in...and breathe out." He instructed and as if out of instinct, he breathed with the same tempo.
"No, I AM calm. Ukai this is ridiculous. Let-" I was getting annoyed again before he interrupted me.
"-Breathe in...breathe out." He kept his smile and repeated his words with a calm tone and I saw I didn't have any other choice than to follow his orders.
Still, even though I did as he told me, I made sure to let him know I was still annoyed with my squinting eyes trying to curse at him through my gaze.
"Okay, I think it won't get any better than this." He announced and I felt his hands leave my wrists and my arms fell slowly to my sides.
I quickly went back to my seat, huffing and puffing.
"Was this necessary?"
"You seemed overworked so I wanted to help you relieve some stress." His bullshit answer didn't satisfy me at all but I was too tired to argue any more.
"Whatever. I'm asking one last time, what did you come here for? And I want a real answer." I said sternly.
"Oh right. I needed some medical forms for the boys' health state because of their upcoming competition."
My face relaxed a bit because I finally got the answer.
"Yeah, I should have some somewhere around here." I said as I started flipping through the different forms in my drawer.
"Ah, got it!" I pulled out the stack of papers and handed them out to Ukai who was patiently waiting above my table.
"Thaank you." He snatched the papers out of my hand.
"See how nice it's working with you when you're calm." He added, the sarcasm flowing with his words.
He was winding me up again and I was only hoping for him to be out of the door already.
Before he was able to shut the door behind himself I called out to him.
"Ukai? And don't ever do that thing with my hands again." I gritted, trying to put on an intimidating tone so he'd listen.
To my surprise, a wide smile spread across his face.
"Sure if you want. But don't act like you didn't like it."
He quickly said and immediately shut the door behind him before could realize what he had just said and run after him.

Dungeon Core? Nah, I Think I'll Just Get Super-Wealthy Instead
The cycle is simple enough. A Dungeon Core is born from a wayward soul. It seeks power and agency, and works to accumulate wealth to fuel its power, in turn using this power to accumulate further wealth. Inevitably, the mind is lost as desperation and ambition drive it to commit darker and darker acts. Shortly thereafter, the adventurers arrive to quell the core. This is a tale that has repeated itself countless times throughout history: all cores desire power. And yet, this core seems to have it backwards. It doesn't want to rule the world. It has no desire to enslave or conquer. No, this core doesn't want to be a warlord, a villain, or a tyrant. It wants to start a core-poration. After all, when money is power, what greater weapon is there than capitalism? Join a dungeon core that wastes an absurd amount of time and effort trying not to be evil on his journey to earn fat stacks against all odds. -This is a 'Dungeon Core' type fiction with LitRPG elements in it. The start may be fairly slow compared to the average. Expect roughly 2.5k per chapter. -I'm only a hobbyist writer. As such, there may be the occasional error and pacing may be poorly-handled. Constructive criticism is alway welcome. I'm just here to write stuff that makes my brain release the g o o d c h e m i c a l s. -I am trashy and I like monsterpeople so you can expect an awful lot of those as we get further in. Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you enjoy.
