《13 and pregnant》Chapter 27

Man my baby is getting so big now, it's only been a week. My baby is a big 3 weeks now, almost a month. My postpartum body wasn't something I was confident about, I gained a little meat on my bones that I liked but my stomach was just not it! My stitches had fully dissolved now, my wound still gave me discomfort a little though. I'm not supposed to take pain killers for them, but they help so I do.
Okay, so about the DNA test results. Nobodies tests had came back yet. Since taking it I've barely seen Darvis and Nike that much. Darvis has came over twice to see Messiah, a little stop by. Nothing much. Nike has been working a lot but he tries to stop by the most he can. He's really been a big help lately.
Ugh I just can't wait for these results to come back so these niggas can get out of my life. If you want me to be completely honest with you, I don't want none of these niggas to be the father. Just me and my baby, He's all I got. Shit Marvin and Chris haven't even been here since I've given birth. And y'all already know Ray's always been ghost since day one.
I blame myself everyday for what they did to me, I just don't show it. I keep most of my pain in.
I haven't went to the police about it because I'm scared. They wont believe me. My own mother wouldn't believe me if I did tell her, that's why I haven't. I've always blamed myself I guess that's why I always give them the benefit of the doubt, I have sympathy for them motherfucker. And what do they have to give me?
A baby half of them don't even claim.
Maybe if I just wouldn't of lied about my age, Maybe if I just would've told somebody when it happened. Anybody, someone could've done something about it.
They could've been locked up! But I didn't. I didn't. Why didn't i?, I just didn't want to believe it.
My mind ran crazy. 'Buzz'
My concentration was cut off by the sound of the my phone ringing. I dug in my pocket, taking out my phone.
Davis's name came across my screen, from a FaceTime call. 'Do not answer'. But, like a dumbass. I did.
"Yeah" I answered getting straight to the point
"Wssup, what you doin?" He asked, smiling into the camera.
"Darvis, what you want" I asked. Confusion slapped me in the face, what the hell this nigga calling up my phone for?
"Let me get Messiah for the weekend" he finally spoke up. This nigga trippin.
"Are you serious?" I gave him a dumb look. This nigga already know the answer gon be hell no.
"Come on man you trippin" he said, sucking his teeth. "At lest let me get him for today, moms was admitted into the hospital last week. She been in and out since I was a jhit, it would brighten her day to get to see Messiah" he spoke. I nodded my head understanding. Man, why am I always being emerged between a rock and a hard place.
"Fine, only for your moms. I hope she gets better" I said back. Not gonna lie I was nervous, this would be the first time Messiahs been out the house without me.

"Alright, I'll be there in 10" Darvis replied back. "Okay" my finger hit the red button, ending call button. I looked down at my baby boy sleeping in my lap.
"They tryna steal you from me baby" I whined, poking out my bottom lip. He gave a little, small smirk. "You laughing at mommies pain" I said, I bent down placing kisses on my babies cheek.
"Let me get you dressed", I got up, bringing Messiah up to my personal bathroom. I ran bath water, poring a little baby dove in the running water. Once the tub was slightly full, I checked the temperature than placed Messiah in the little blue baby tub. He laid, relaxing himself. "The water feels good big man" I asked. Messiah laid back, just looking up admiring his mommy. I washed him down, then took him out the tub. I paced downstairs with Messiah in my arm wrapped in a towel, turning up the temperature a little in the house so my baby don't get cold.
Making my way back upstairs, I headed to my room. Placing messiah on the bed, I quickly slapped a diaper on him. I then went over to my tall black dresser picking out a outfit, my baby was gon be rocking a NIKE fit today. Putting him on a black and lime green onsie 'just do it' the onsie read. To matching it I put him on a pair of gray sweat pants, with matching light green NIKE socks. My baby was fresh!
I brushed his hair down a little, him looked so handsome. He poked his lip out a little as I snapped a picture.
"What's wrong big man?" I said to him. I pecked my lips against his little small head.
'Ding' my phone spoke.
"I'm outside" a text from 'Do not answer' came through.
"Coming" I wrote back. Picking up Messiah, I made my way downstairs. I placed Messiah in his car seat, strapping him down then leaving the house. I grabbed his beige colored baby bag off the couch as I stepped out the door.
"Finally" Darvis joked, as I stepped out. "Boy, be patient" I said back, walking up to the car
Darvis stepped out the car, taking the car seat from out my hand. "Hey big man" he spoke to Messiah. Sticking his big ass head into the car seat.
"My baby don't wanna smell yo stank ass breath" I joked, scrunching up my face
"Mane I'm bout to leave, I didn't
Come here for this" Darvis said laughing. I laughed shaking my head side to side
"Alright, y'all have fun. Keep my baby safe" I said as I walked away
"Ight, imma call you when I'm on my way back" He yelled so i could hear. I nodded my head.. well this is gonna be a interesting day..
{Ray}
'Beep, Beep'
The machine spoke as it monitored my babygirls heartbeat. We had made it to the hospital at around 3 am this morning. Nattily's water had broke, finally. Shes was dilating real slow though, we've been stuck at 7cm for a few hours now. The doctors have talked to us considering a possible C-section, this totally freaked Nattily out. Shit me too but I had to remain strong for my baby.
She had tears in her eyes as another contraction hit. "Ouch" she moaned.
"It's ok baby" I spoke, holding her hand, I whispered into her ear to remain calm, as I rubbed her back with my other hand. It's hard watching my baby go through this much just to bless me with the best gift I could receive, my child, my first born.

She contracted for a while but no progress. The doctor came in speaking, he went over the position the baby was sitting in and something about prolonged labor.
"It's not gonna work trying to go ahead with a vaginal birth" he said. Nigga a what? I was confused about everything he was saying.
Once he was done going over everything we needed to know, he turned around leaving the room. As soon as he walked out Nattily broke down.
"What's wrong" I said getting up, I gripped her face, turning it my way.
"I'm scared baby, what if something goes wrong?" she weeped in between words.
"Nattily, calm down. Everything's gon be alright, you and babygirl gon be straight" I kissed her forehead
Not long later in walked multiple nurses, they came over messing with the bottom of the bed, them wheeling it away towards the door. "Wait where y'all taking her?" I said jumping up out my chair.
"The doctor had scheduled an emergency C-section for Miss Jade" the nurse stopped, talking to me.
Wait what, why she had to be put under the knife? They wheeled her away, soon coming back handing me baby blue colored scrubs. I threw them on before the came doctors came in. They lead me through the hallway, to a dimmed out room.
Things happened fast. I really didn't know what was going on. Nattily was dazed out, I stood to the sidelines watching the doctor get to work.
40 minutes later, a cry came from behind the large green curtain. The curtain separated nattily's upper half from her bottom half. There laid comfy in the doctors hands, Brielle Jade. My babygirl.
"Welcome babygirl" I mumbled. They brought Brielle over to a big white mechanic, placing her on it. I was guided by one of the nurses across the room, over to her. I gazed down at my baby as they got her situated, I snapped a picture of my babygirl after the nurses attached a fresh diaper to her. One of the nurses picked Brielle up, bringing her over to me. She placed her in my arms. Man I don't even know how to explain this feeling, just love at first sight.
'I can't believe I'm actually holding you' I thought as I tried soothing her. Her cried went silent as I spoke to her.
"It's okay daddy's baby" I whispered gazing down at her. I looked up at nattily, she was looking back with a smile planted across her face, she still was a little dazed out. The doctors went to work stitching her back up ASAP. I'm not gon lie, this made me appreciate Nattily way more. 24 hours of labor just to be told your having an emergency C-section. Going under the knife so our beautiful babygirl could be born. The love I had for both these girls were just unconditional.
I gazed down at Brielle, she looked just like her momma. I just know she's gonna be a daddies girl tho so that ain't even matter to me.
Man, I'm so blessed to be your daddy,
Brielle Jeannea Jade.
{Anaya}
It's been a few hours since messiah been in Darvis's care. I miss my baby, and I bet him miss his mommy.
I scrolled through my phone as music blasted through my headphones. Cupid by 112 played as I bobbed my head.
'Ring' my phone rung interrupting my music.
'Lipid Labz Inc' slowly swiped across the top of my screen. Without hesitation I pressed the red decline button. I don't know if I'm ready for this.
I shook my head feeling dumb, why didn't I just answer. Feeling regret I went under my call log, calling them back.
It rung a few times before getting a answer. "Hello, your speaking with Evelyn from Lipid Labz. How may I help you" the lady on the other end spoke.
"Hi, I had just gotten a call from this number. I couldn't get ahold of my phone so I just was calling back" I said lying
"No problem, could I get a name and date of birth" she said
"Anaya Bryant, July 13th 2007" I spoke, replying back to her
"Hmm" she mumbled. I could hear her typing, going at her keyboard. "Yes we were just calling to inform you that the DNA results for Messiah Bryant and Darvis Lane have came back" she said tryna talk in bright spirits
"Ok" I mumbled
"The probability of paternity came back zero percent" she spoke
My body went numb, I didn't even know how to react, what to say. It went quiet for a while, "Ok, thank you" I finally spoke up
"No problem, have a nice day" she replied. The phone line dropped but the phone remained to my ear. Just sitting there, thinking.
I snapped outta my thoughts, snatching the phone from my face.
Quickly going to my call log, I pressed on Darvis contact. Pressing the FaceTime button, the phone rung for a while before getting a answer.
"Yo" Darvis answered.
"Where my baby at?" I asked, putting on a fake smile
"He sleep" he replied. "Let me see my baby".
Darvis got up taking a few steps. He stopped lowering the phone. There laid Messiah, he was buckled in his car seat snuggled up in the baby blue blanket I sent him with. I smiled, watching my baby as he slept.
"When you bringing my baby home?" I asked, speaking to Darvis. He lifted the phone putting the camera back on him. "I'm finna leave now, moms just got done saying her goodbyes" he spoke.
I nodded my head up and down. "So...the lab had gotten back to me about you and Messiahs results" I broke the ice, mumbling.
"I know, I had just gotten off the phone with them a few minutes before you called" he replied. "I'm just enjoying the rest of my time, saying my final goodbyes" he said. His voice changed quick
For the first time in a long time, remorse filled in me for Darvis. I don't know why, he did me wrong, this is a blessing. Why do I feel this way.
"Okay, just don't be too late bringing my baby home. I miss him" I said. My voice was dull as I spoke
"Alright" he replied back. The call dropped by him ending it.
I don't even know what to say at this point. Just why me, why messiah. I just can't understand...
