《Lucky Kiss Number 13》Chapter 5

✿◕‿◕✿ Tessa's P.O.V
"Enjoying your hangover Munchies?" Sarcasm was written all over my brother's face as he handed me my third cup of coffee this morning.
This had to be the worst feeling that I had ever experience, but then again I had worse before. My headache was heavily throbbing with pain. This hangover was draining all of the energy left inside of me. Still having the taste of vomit inside my mouth wasn't exactly pleasant either.
"Shut up." I muttered under my breath before taking another sip out of the mug.
What had happen last night? All I remember was having a flashback before passing out from all of the alcohol that I had consumed. Well at least I had somehow made it home safe and sound without any harm.
"Sweetie, here's some Advil." My mother made her way into the kitchen. She had a look of disappointment written all over her face, and I knew exactly why. She was afraid I was going to end up in the hospital with alcohol poisoning like she did once upon a not so long time ago.
"Can someone go and tell Chasity to come downstairs? I have something I would like to discuss with you guys."
"No need. I'm already here." She strolled her way in looking much better than when I had found her last night. My mother gave her a slight nod before taking a deep sigh.
"While you were out partying last night, I got an unexpected phone call. It was from your father, he said he wanted you guys to go and visit him."
I was completely speechless, how are you supposed to react to words that had just come out of her mouth. I haven't seen him in a really long time for a reason, and now all of the sudden I have to visit him?
Drake slammed his fist onto the granite kitchen island, causing all of us to become startled by the loud bang. "Why do we need to visit that bastard? So he can tell us we were mistakes again!"
I could see that tears started to form in my mother's eyes, but I knew that she was trying her best to hold in the pain. As much as Gaven made her happy, the pain and memories always came back.
Chasity hasn't said a single word at all. She was paler than usual, it was obvious that she was in a state of shock.

"Can we see dad today?" Chasity quietly said from her sit as she twiddles her thumbs around. I could see it in her eyes, she misses him even though she wouldn't admit it.
How does her heart still have a spot for a man that ruined this family? Some things I will never understand.
"We should get going and get this over with." I calmly said, and I leaned further back onto my chair.
My brother had a confused look on his face from my reaction to this whole situation. A sigh of relief came from Chasity as a faint smile appeared onto her face.
Sorry to break it to you, but I really just wanted to get this whole visiting thing over with.
As much as I wanted to tell Chasity those exact words, I knew better than to make her cry.
Why wasn't I angry, sad, devastated or even excited? Some would say that I was confused with my emotions, my answers for those people is that I couldn't care less.
Showing your emotions to a person that once was in your life meant that you still cared, I on the other hand didn't give a single shit about the man I once called dad. He wasn't worthy of me acknowledging his existence.
It's already depressing knowing that I have to share the same last name as him
"You kids go ahead and go, I don't want your dad to think that I've brainwashed you guys. I'm going to start packing for the business trip I'll be going on tomorrow. Remember that if you need anything just give a call to Gaven."

The ride to the prison was a real long one, Drake still looked annoyed while Chasity look anxious. My eyes flickered at the landscape, it looked like we were in the middle of nowhere. I leaned my head against the window, starring at the long road ahead of us.
"Were here!" Chasity nervously said as she quickly unbuckled her seat belt. We made our way following the entrance to the main doors where two police men stood.
"Were here to see Derrek Queens." Drake murmured while handing our I.D's to the police man who was sitting at the secretary's desk. He gave us an approving nod as he motioned his hand telling us to follow him.
After walking through a maze with security at every corner, we finally reached the room where we would be seeing him. The room was like what you would see in the movies, it looked like an interrogation room.

There he was, sitting on the other side of the table with his orange jumpsuit. He looked tired with the bags under his eyes, he had some grey strands of hair coming out of his raven black hair. But he still looked the same as I had remembered.
The man who put a rock in my chest.
"What did you want that we had to come all the way here old man?" Drake said harshly while running his long fingers through his hair. The lights in the room flickered a bit. I heard sniffles coming from Chasity as she ran to the man I once called dad with open arms.
A look of annoyance was spread all over Drake's face. I mouthed ' I know what you are thinking' to him as I turned my head back to this pathetic father daughter moment. And to think that I once was daddy's little girl.
Knowing that I was related to this man at all made my stomach twist.
"D-Daddy!" She cried on the top of her lungs while hugging him tighter as she cried onto his shoulder. How she is able to forgive him for what he has done beats me. Chasity sat back down onto her chair, continuing to cry to herself.
"Son, how have you been? How is life going?"
"I'm doing just great dad, how the fuck do you expect me to be?" Drake's nose cringed just saying the word dad.
"Well, that's nice to know son."
The sperm donor finally turned to me as he observed me. I was giving him a blank stare while I rolled my eyes.
"Tessie, you're all grown up now." Just hearing those words coming out of his mouth made me grind my teeth. I put on a fake smile, knowing that he could see right through my act just to tick him off even more.
"Just hurry up and spill it out, I don't have all day Derrek." Wasn't exactly the comment you were expecting now, were you Derrek?
"What had happened to my little bumble bee?" He sadly questioned. Oh please, you can't fool me. I couldn't help but to chuckle.
"Well I see that you kids aren't too happy with seeing me, but I'm going to change that. Tomorrow I'm being released and I was hoping to make things right."
Drake was boiling with anger, he quickly knocked over the chair he was sitting on. I could see the rage inside his eyes, I knew he wasn't going to sit still. He lunged forward onto Derrek as the police men ran towards them, breaking them up from any further damage.
"Sir, we are going have to ask you to leave the premises." Drake being the stubborn idiot he is, he had to be dragged out of the room unwillingly.
Knowing Derrek, he would have done a lot of more damage to Drake if he wasn't trying to prove some point.
I didn't want to sit here anymore. I didn't want to listen to his bullshit anymore. I didn't want to see him anymore. I wish he didn't have such an effect on me, I wish I could fully block him out of my life.
I hate trying to say that I don't care for him anymore, but on all honesty my father will always be a part of my life no matter what.
I am more confuse than I have ever been.
I needed to think, I needed to return to my thinking tree. The one that I haven't visited in four years, the one that my dad had first showed me when I was five. The tree who always seems to know what to do. The one place where happy memories belong.
Note: And if the song doesn't show up for some weird reason, the song is called "Angel With A Shotgun" by The Cab. Okay so the song on the side is currently my favourite! I think I broke the replay button just listening to it.
Oh and even more great news, I finally am getting a editor to fix my mistakes. I love writing but hate editing, thank god I have my home biscuit~~~ Daniela! So she is going to be editing my chapters soon, once she has times. So this Chapter is dedicated to her. She is just awesome, since she willingly asked to be my editor. She is even more awesome for reading my book in the middle of class and then getting in trouble by our math teacher. LOL Best bish ever ;)

Descendants of Cosmia
Reefa, Wellor, Rozo and Auri are four teenagers trying to get through life living in a village surrounded by the barren sands of the Hariq Desert; a village isolated from the walls of the 9 Monarchs of Cosmia. The world that lies beyond the walls involves the social segregation between humans and Haaras. Haaras are people with the ability to control elements of water, air and earth, whilst humans cannot obtain this power at all. Reefa had always thought of herself to be a human with no type of elemental wielding. However, after many reoccurences throughout her childhood in which she hears the voices of people that speak in the future, she has doubts about who she really is inside. The same phenomenon happens when she is 15 years-old, but this time the voices she hears alerts her of a future attack that will happen to the people of her village. When the time had come, Reefa and her friends escape their predicament and travel to the east towards the land of dragons known as Tetranazia. Bearing in mind the last words her aunt told her with a heavy heart, she must protect her friends from the dangers ahead and venture into the walls to search for the answers of the attack. This is an original English light novel (OELN). There will be several visuals of characters and world-building as you read this novel. The story's genre is mainly Shonen-influenced Josei and Fantasy. Do note that the story is slow-paced in development, so it might not be to your liking. I'll be updating 2 new chapters every month on the 25th (SGT).(I'm doing it monthly because I have to consider the pile of college workload I have (;_;) and I'll need extra time on drawing the illustrations) Occasionally, I'll do Bonus Releases, where I release more than 2 chapter in the next monthly update Feel free to give me feedback on my story. I will very much appreciate it! (ノ´∀`) I created this story on Scribble Hub, so you can also check it out over at their platform.

As soon as the Huzina Kingdom got word that the City of Thright had moved they had little choice but to mark them off as dead... Add that to the fact its been hundreds of millions of years since then it's not really shocking... However, if you were to tell this to one of the members of Thright City they would probably laugh in you face, as they only moved here a few hundred years ago...Outside of the Forbidden Region of the Forgotten Forest...Kingdoms have declined and the old sects have vanished. Alchemy, Enchanting and many, many techniques have been lost over time... If you were to compare the City of Thright to the current Empires Dynasty?Just one commoner of Thright could completely destroy it within a day, but luckily for the Emperor, the City of Thright have no choice but to stay.As for Leif? Well, he's currently 10 years old and should by now be at the Low Earth Realm, but born with corrupted meridians he is unable to cultivate so he is stuck in the first realm of the Mortal realm. However, Liefs destiny was never confined to this forest. 18+ due to foul language and bloody scenes. RPG aspects start at the end of chapter 12. Currently on break for a while, I'll continue with this, just not right now. I'm unsure when I will continue writing this.
