imagine; you get into an argument with jeff.

"did i mention that you are seriously so beautiful?" zach smirks.

you roll your eyes at zach's flirty behaviour. "thank you, but you have said that at least 10 times tonight."

"well, you deserve to be reminded." zach takes a step closer towards you.

you start to feel nervous, because what if zach kisses you at that moment? with jeff being at the party? someone could tell jeff a whole different story.

you look down at the ground and zach stares at you.

"hey (Y/N), you avoiding me?" zach chuckles at your shyness.

you look up into his eyes. "nope."

as you look into zach's eyes, jeff appears from a bush shouting "what is this?"

you step away from zach and quickly walk towards jeff. "nothing..."

one of jeff's friends snort and zach walks towards the guy. "got a problem you dickhead?"

"it's obvious that you and (Y/N) were all over each other."

when the guy said this, jeff's face softens and he grabs your hand. you follow jeff down the garden and you both stand behind the shed.

"jeff, we was just talking and it probably seemed as if something else was happening, but i can assure you that nothing happened."

jeff pushes your hand away." lies. i thought you loved me?"

"oh my god, i do love you! zach was flirting, but that's it. i would never hurt you. i swear that i only fucking care about you..." you can feel tears threatening to spill from your eyes, but you blink them away.

"i'm sure you flirted back. who wouldn't love to cheat on their boyfriend with zach dempsey who is 6 foot tall and can play every sport."

you shake your head, you can't believe that this is actually happening.

"well, if you don't believe me then that's your problem. feel free to break up with me, no point in stopping you."

"no (Y/N). i don't want to break up with you, i can't do that."

"then what?" you shout which startles jeff.

jeff takes a deep breath and touches your hand. "i need time to think and maybe for a couple of weeks, we shouldn't talk to each other."

"r-really?" tears finally spill from your eyes and you don't bother to wipe them away.

"i'm sorry. have a nice night." jeff leans over to kiss you on the lips, but he shakes his head and walks away instead.

"a nice night? more like a shitty night." you mumble as you sit down on the damp grass, wiping your tears away.
