~Althia~
"Zaaaaach" I dragged his name out "Please, tell me where we're going" I begged him
Zach looked at me for a second before looking back at the road
I could tell he was trying to hide a smile
"Nope" He responded
It was Saturday and Zach had shown up at my house, telling me to get ready since he was taking me out.
We were now in the car and he wouldn't tell me where he was bringing me
I huffed in my seat and crossed my arms.
I sighed but he didn't say anything. I sighed again but he still didn't do anything. I sighed loudly one last time.
"Althia!" Zach chuckled "I'm not telling you where we're going" He announced
I pouted and he shook his head
"You're just going to have to sit back and relax" He told me
I rolled my eyes and looked out of the window
I heard Zach chuckle again which caused me to roll my eyes again
A couple of minutes later, I felt Zach's hand on mine, I played with his fingers for a bit before slowly intertwining them with mine. I could feel Zach's eyes on me but I kept my gaze towards the window.
//
"So you were secretive for a restaurant?" I asked Zach as we got seated
"No, this is just a pit stop" Zach answered
I looked at him and raised my eyebrow, still questioning where he was taking me
"I'm still not telling you" He told me before I could even ask
I made a face at him before taking my menu and looking at it
"If you don't stop your whining, I'm just going to take you back home" Zach said
I dropped the menu and looked at him. He had a playful smirk on his lips.
"I am not whining" I told him
He looked at me
"I'm not!" I said and threw him a napkin
"Mmh, whatever you say" He argued and threw the napkin back to me before looking at his menu
"You're the worse" I mumbled
"What was that?" Zach looked up, obviously having heard what I said
"I said you're the best" I cheesed a smile at him
The waiter soon came and we ordered our food
"Can you at least give me a hint of where we're going?' I asked Zach as we waited for our food

"Thi" He said
"Zachy" I replied
He kept looked at me and I kept his gaze
"Fine" He finally caved in
I clapped my hands, excitedly
"Alright so it's going to hopefully bring out your inner child" Zach said
I thought for awhile
"Yeah, I still have no clue" I announced
"Good" Zach winked at me
I let out a groan just as our waiter came with our food
We ate and kept small talk before getting back into the car
The car ride from the restaurant to the place only took a few more minutes. Zach parked on the side of the road and we got out.
"Come on, this way" Zach grabbed my hand, and led me to wherever it was we were going
He stopped in front of this building and I looked around
"Board Game and Arcade Cafe" I read out loud before looking at Zach with a huge smile on my face
"No way!" I beamed
Zach nodded and opened the door and we walked inside.
We were greeted by a woman at a counter where you could order drinks and other small goodies.
"Hi, could I get two admissions to the game board rooms and 40 tickets for the arcade please?" Zach asked the lady
"Sure thing" She smiled and got us two bracelets with our tickets
"That'll be 42.55" She told Zach and he handed her a 50
She gave him his change back
"You two kids have fun" She smiled
We thanked her and walked more inside
I helped Zach put his bracelet on and he helped me
"Which one do you want to do first?" Zach asked
"The games" I answered
We kept walking until we reached a room that was full of all kinds of different board games from the old ones to the new ones.
I looked around the room in awe.
Zach followed me around the room, letting me take my time
"I didn't even know we had one of these nearby" I told him as I touched some boxes, looking through them
"I didn't either" He replied, taking a box off the shelf
I looked at him, questioning
"I did some research and found this place and decided to bring you" He told me "This is my first time here" He informed me
I couldn't help but smile at him

I found the game I was looking for and took it off the shelf
I looked over at Zach and saw that he already 3 other games in his arms and decided that we had enough for now
We found a table near the back of the next room and sat down
"What game did you pick out?" Zach asked me as I hid it behind my back
I slowly brought the box in front of me
"What do you meme" I exclaimed as I put the game on the table
"Seriously, out of all the games they have here" He looked at me
My smile quickly left my face and my jaw dropped
"I'll have you know Zachary, that this game is by far the best game I have ever played and I am an expert at making the best ones" I told him, slightly offended that he didn't like the game I chose
"First of all, don't call Zachary and second I'm sorry I didn't want to bring you down on your poor choice of game" He said
I made a face at him, and he pouted
"What games caught your attention?" I questioned him
Zach smiled proudly as he got ready to introduce the board games he picked out
"I have Bucket of Doom, Dohdles and Poop the Game" He announced
"We are definitely playing the poop game first" I giggled
Zach agreed and we set aside the other games
"So it's basically like Uno but with poop?" Zach asked me as I explained to him the way I understood the game from what I read from the instructions
"Yes" I nodded "But if you clog the toilet, you have to do whatever the card tells you to do" I reminded him
"I'm so gonna win this" He clapped his hands
"Hmm, don't be so sure, Zachy" I warned him
//
Zach and I spent the next two hours and a half playing all of the board games we had taken out
He ended up winning Poop the Game, but I won while we played What do you meme and Dohdles. No one won while we played Bucket of Doom, since we didn't really understand how to play and decided to make our little game out of it.
"Here you go" Zach handed me the drink I had ordered as we made our way to the arcade part of the building
"Thank you" I smiled and took a sip
"Is it good?" He asked, taking a sip out of his drink
I nodded and took another sip
"It's basically a frozen mocha, that they gave a funky name to" I told him "Wanna try?" I asked
Zach took my cup and handed me his
"What did you order again?" I questioned
"Some type of like fizzy water with a bunch of different fruits with a weird name, of course" He answered before taking a sip of my drink
I took a sip of his
"Not going to lie, I kinda like yours more than I like mine" Zach admitted
I laughed
"I'm in love with yours" I told him
"Can we not switch back?" He asked
I took a big sip of his drink
"I'm taking that as a yes" He laughed and took another sip of my drink that was now his drink
He reached over to grab my hand as he led me to the arcade part of the building
There weren't as many games compared to the number of board games they had, but there was still a variety
"Where to first?" He asked
"I don't care" I responded
Zach scanned the room quickly before leading me to a Pac-Man game
We played until we ran out of tickets
Instead of cashing in our winning tickets right away we decided to keep them, that way the next time we came we could get a bigger prize
Before heading back home, Zach brought me to a pizza place
//
"Thank you, for yet another wonderful date" I looked up at Zach as we were standing in front of my door
"Anything for you" He smiled
We stood there looking at one and other for what felt like hours and before I knew it, his lips were on mine
It took me a while to figure out what was happening but I kissed back, one of my hands found its way to the back of his neck while the other resting on his upper arm. Zach's arms grabbed my waist, pulling me closer to him.
We pulled away to catch back our breath
Zach cleared his throat and I looked down
"I should-"
"You should-" We both said at the same time
"Probably go" We finished
"I'll text you later" Zach said and I nodded
I hugged him and he quickly kissed my cheek before walking back to his car
I watched him drive out of my driveway and then went inside
I couldn't help but smile head-to-toe when I closed the door
"Did you have fun?" A voice suddenly said, making me jump
I turned around and saw my mom
I nodded and raced upstairs in my room before she could ask more questions
I immediately texted Hannah and Jessica to tell them all about today and the kiss that had just happened.

Transposition
Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.

Blackened Blood[Progression Fantasy]
Broken and lost by the dredges of this world a boy awakens once again into life's game within hallowed black halls, his first taste of new life cold and hunger along with the echoing drip of temptation. Deep sickness festering within in him. Given a second chance by either coincidence or something more sinister, follow the story of he who bleeds black. Betrayal, greed and blood littered in droves across this hellbound path. ********** 2000+ words daily for now, will reduce to thrice a week after the writathon. If it wasn't clear, this is a vampire story taking place in a high fantasy environment. Although while its main character is a vampire and that is one main focus of the story it will also lend itself to the magic side of this world as well. Basically, if you're interested in vampires or magic heavy stories, this will have something for you... probably. The synopsis is kinda vague but If you give it a shot, I think you'll like it. Also, feel free to drop any sort of constructive criticism since this is one of my first experiences writing in first person.Forgot to add that the story will be a little less action-orientated until around chapter 20+ when... well... read and see :) Any chapters with the * next to them have been edited or tweaked. I'll remove it once all of them are.
