"I mean can you believe her?" I asked the group, about Courtney during our lunch, as we waited for the others to join us

"She's bad news" Hannah told me as she stole fries off my plate

"Just ignore her" Tony chimed in

"She's just-ughhh" I let out a groan

"Whoa, you ok?" Zach asked me as he sat down beside me while Jeff took a seat beside Clay

"Courtney is getting to her" Jessica answered for me

"Well maybe tonight's basketball game will help you not slap her" Zach said

"You have a game tonight?" I asked him

He nodded

"And I would very much like it for you to be there" He told me

"Zach, you know you gotta tell me these things in advance" I let out a sigh

"I'm sorry, I forgot" Zach said "Please come" He stuck out his bottom lip

"I'm going" I told him and he smiled "But I'm going to need a ride" I announced as I looked at Tony since he always drives me places

"Can't tonight Al, I'm helping Alex with the game setup" Tony answered me before I could even ask him the question

"Hannah?" I questioned her

"Clay and I are working tonight so I won't be able to either" She answered

"Yeah, that's totally a keyword for we're gonna skip the game to fuck" Alex spoke

Hannah threw one of my fries to him as Jessica smacked him and all the boys laughed

"Jeffyyyyy" I looked over at him

"I am highly offended that I'm your last option and also I can't because I'm helping Tony and Alex with the setup" Jeff answered

"You all suck" I announced

"You could just stay after school and watch the practice and warmups" Zach told me

"No because if I do that, then I'm going to get bored and won't pay attention during the actual game" I responded

"Maybe going to get your license would help" Tony said

I made a face at him

"Jess doesn't have her license! You guys never drill her about how she doesn't have it" I pointed out

"Yes, but Jess at least tried to get her license" Alex replied "Several times" He added, earning a glare from Jessica

"Also she's a shit driver" Jeff chimed in

"You, on the other hand, haven't even tried to get it" Clay pointed out

I was about to say something when Montgomery and Justin joined us

"Hey, Monty! You don't play basketball, right?" I asked him

"Ha, Monty playing basketball? That's a good one Thia" Jeff faked a laugh and wiped nonexistent tears from his eyes

"Shut up Atkins, you're shit at it too" Monty spoke and Jeff stopped laughing "But no I don't, do you need a ride for tonight's game?" He asked me

"Yes please" I answered

"Alright, I'll come pick you up" He told me

I thanked him and we continued on with our lunch
