We had just woken up and as I promised, we were discussing everything we needed to

"Jessica no" I shook my head "I mean, I wanna make up with Jeff but when we do, we're not telling him about Justin" I added

"But-" She went to protest

"No" I repeated "The Justin situation stays between you and me. We're not telling Jeff, we're not telling Ryan, we're not telling Mont, we're not telling Alex, we're not telling my parents and we're certainly not telling Zach until I figure this whole thing out. We're the only ones who will know about this" I told

"Okay" Jessica said, respecting my decision to only talk to her about it "What are we gonna do?" She asked

"I don't know" I sighed "Should I message him and ask him to go to Monet's or something and then bring it up there?" I questioned

"That's a good idea" Jess nodded "But he's been acting like he hasn't even said anything so maybe you should do the same" She looked at me

"I don't get how he can do that" I closed my eyes and sighed again in frustration "How can you just tell your friend who's dating your other friend that you like her and then act like nothing happened?" I asked

"Most importantly, how can you say that you don't want to ruin a relationship but then go and confess your feelings when you know it's going to ruin the relationship" Jess shot back "I mean, it can ruin a relationship but you and Zach will be fine, I swear" She quickly added once she saw panic strike on my face

My phone beeped in my hand for the millionth time

I let out a groan and threw my phone onto my bed

"Do you think-" I started but got interrupted by Jessica's phone buzzing

"For fucksakes" She mumbled as she threw her phone to join mine before giving me back her full attention

"Do you think I can do like him and pretend like he didn't say a word" I asked her

"Yes, of course you can" She answered "It won't be as easy as it is for him but I know that you can do it" She added

"And Zach? I mean I know I should tell him but if I'm going to act like nothing happened, do I say something to him?" I questioned

Jessica took a breath and reached out to grab my hands

"Don't tell him" She told me "This is going to stay between just the two of us, we figured out what you're going to do and that's that. If Justin decides to say anything else, then you go to Zach and you tell him" She went on "But if something bad happens to your relationship because of this decision, it's not my fault" She finished

"Jess!" I exclaimed

"Sorry, I'll stop talking about ruined relationships" She quickly said

As if right on time, both of our phones dinged

"I swear to God..." Jessica trailed off as she got up to retrieve our cellphones

She handed me my phone and I saw that I had tons of messages from Jeff and a couple from a new groupchat

Jess and I exchanged glances before reading the texts in the groupchat first

"Ugh, do we tell him we don't like Claire?" Jessica asked me

"I feel like we should just explain to him why we're upset first and I know that him ignoring us for Claire is a big reason why but we should mention him not hanging around us and then ease into the whole Claire thing" I answered

"Good plan" Jess agreed

"Wait before we get ready, you still havent told me a single thing about what happened with Chloe and it's been killing me" I told Jessica

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe I almost forgot to tell you, it's insane!" Jess replied

I looked at her and waited for her to tell me everything

"So I went in the bathroom because I had to pee then suddenly someone came bursting into the bathroom crying so I was like 'Yo, are you ok?' but then I saw it was Chloe and as much as I don't like her, I knew something was wrong so I asked her if something had happened" She started "I thought she would have said that Bryce had done something because well she's dating Bryce fucking Walker and we all know how he is but she didn't answer so I put my hand on her shoulder gently and then she literally just blurted out that she was pregnant" She continued "And then before I could even say anything, she bolted right out of the bathroom and then you came in" She finished

"Whoa" Was all I said "Do you think it's true?" I questioned

"I'm pretty sure, she looked really shocked and stressed and completely freaked out" Jess answered "Plus, I don't think she would lie about being pregnant" She added

"That's true" I nodded "That's so insane, there's no way she's told Bryce yet" I said

"Definitely not, you know damn well he's going to run away once he finds out" Jess replied

"I can't imagine what's she's going through right now" I responded

"Yeah, I was debating messaging her but I don't know. Do you think I should?" She asked me

"I would wait and see if she says anything else to you about it during cheer" I answered "Maybe she just told you that in the bathroom because she needed to get it off her chest and now she doesn't want to talk about it" I added

"Okay, yeah, I'll wait" Jess agreed

With that being said, we quickly got dressed and went downstairs where my dad was in the kitchen, basically waiting for us while my mom had already left

"Dad, Jeff is coming over sometime soon" I told him "He said he wanted to talk to us in person and not through texts" I added while Jessica made a face

"I'm guessing something happened with him last night?" Dad looked at us

"You aren't even ready to hear about all of this Mr K" Jessica warned him

We took a seat behind the island counter as my dad leaned on it from the other side

We told him everything that had happened last night, like we promised. We obviously left out the parts with Justin and Chloe.

We had just finished telling him everything when the doorbell rang

I rolled my eyes as Jessica scoffed

"That's my cue to leave but I'll answer the door for ya's" Dad said as he jogged towards the door

Jessica and I didn't move from our spots as we heard the door being opened and closed and Jeff greeting my dad

"Good luck" We heard my dad tell him before he walked up the stairs

Jeff slowly entered the kitchen and looked at us as we turned towards him with our arms crossed.
