《Anime One Shots Book 1》Young! Madara X Young! Uchiha! Reader (Naruto) {Fall Festival}

This is a request! Though I pretty much have free range~ but can someone please explain why everyone loves this man so much? It's been almost five years since I've read his story (I could only read it once) and I never thought he was that great? But then again I never got to read the ending of Naruto....
This is going to be pronouns free for the reader, let's see if I can pull it off!
Edit February 3, 2021: I did indeed pull it off.
Note: With will be set in the Naruto universe but we're gonna pretend there isn't a war going on when Madara was young. And every weird detail I come up with is actually possible in the Naruto universe. Okay? Okay.
"You know it's kind of strange our parents even let us come to this. Let alone by ourselves...." Madara mumbled as he walks with his best friend, looking around at the different venues.
"Yeah no kidding." (Y/n) chuckles, "can't believe something like this can even take place in our clan..."
It was a cool autumn night in the Uchiha clan estate. The lantern flames danced in the wind, some how not burn the festival to the ground. Many clan elders were not pleased with the future clan leaders being able to run free. But other members plan the whole thing be hide their backs. One might say there was a screaming match being drowned out by all the fun everyone is having.
"What do you want to do first?" (Y/n) asks.
Madara looks around, trying to see over all the adults. He spots a bunch of candy bags nailed to the wall of a venue. "How about we try that one?" He suggests, pointing out the venue. His friend smiles and nods in response.
"Why hello kids!" An Uchiha elder greets when they approached the venue. "Care to play? It's no charge." It was a simple game the elder was running. Depending on the circle you hit with a kunai determines the size candy bag you get. Unless you don't hit any target, then you don't get anything.

Madara, being the closest show off he is, steps up and takes the kunai's in his hands. "You get three changes." The elder smiles and backs away from the targets. He studies which target he wants to hit first and waits for the large gust of wind to pass by.
Only problem with that is now the targets are swinging. Madara smirks to himself and throws all the kunai's at once.
None of them hit the targets. The elder just looks at him confused but picks up the kunai and turns to (Y/n). "Would you like to try?"
(Y/n) takes the kunai's out of the elders hands and throws them at the targets effortless. In the end, Madara and (Y/n) walked away with two decent bags of candy.
"Don't look so bitter." (Y/n) chcukles, eating a few pieces of candy.
"I'm not bitter..." He grumbles, his face pouting even more.
"Oh but you're pouting~"
"Shut up!" He pushes his friend in the arm, (Y/n) laughing slightly at his behavior.
Another game catches (Y/n)'s eyes and drags Madara over to it. The game was simple, all you had to do was dunk your head in the water and grab an apple with your mouth. Sounds simple, right?
If you're Madara, then yes. He was able to get ten apples in one minute while (Y/n) on the other hand managed to get two apples. Madara beamed with pride but it was short lived once he saw (Y/n) smile a little.
"What?" He smiled back, he is the kind who laughs when someone else laughs.
The clan member running the game and a few other members who happened to pass by laughed a little at him too. "What is it?" He asks again.
"You have apple skin stuck to your teeth." A random clan member said. Their kid pointing at them and laughing.
Madara does a 360° spin to find a place where no one could see him pick out the apple skin. He grabs (Y/n), "stand in front of my for a sec..." He says, hiding behind his friend. (Y/n) was giggling the whole time, trying to act as natural as possible.

After getting some Taiyuki and Takeyaki, the two spot a game where you can catch fish with a net. "Hello!" The booth owner greets, a few other younger kids where doing their best to catch fish. "Would you two like to play?" They ask.
The net used to catch the fish was made out of paper, you will have to act fast in order to catch a lot of fish. All though, (Y/n) didn't really like the idea of catching fish. Madara notices this slightly and gives a look that read "what are you thinking?"
And he got a reply with a look that said "let's save them!"
"Sure, we'll play." (Y/n) says and picks up one of the nets. Madara does the same and whispers in his friends ear, "what do you plan on doing?"
"There's a river near here, right?" Madara nods as a reply. "Then we get as many as we can before the fireworks start and set them free. Many then they'll have a chance to live..."
He sighs but agrees to help. And one by one they caught more fish than anyone. The booth owner was a little surprised and politely asks them to save some for the other people. In total, they had four bags filled with water and fish.
Madara pleads with his eyes, and (Y/n) agrees to let the rest of the fish stay. "Sorry..." (Y/n) whispers and is dragged away from the booth by Madara. "Let's hurry the fireworks are about to start."
There were less and less people gathered around the booths as they raced over to the river. They had finally made it by the time the first firework was shoot off into the sky. "Do you think any of them will survive?" (Y/n) asks, sitting the bag of fish into the water. "Do you think they can get out by themselves?"
Madara shakes his head, gently sitting down the bag into the river as well. "I'm sure something will poke a hole in the bag without hurting any fish." He smiles, "don't worry."
They watched the bags float down the river for a brief moment before (Y/n), gently, grabs Madara's hand and run to a better spot in order to watch the fireworks. They had found a slightly more open area where they could see the fireworks more clearly.
(Y/n) squeezed Madara's hand as a "thank you for today" only to receive a "no need to thank me" squeeze in return.
I would like to say that I wanted to end it with them tracking down the bags of fish and poking holes in them, themselves. But I didn't know where to go form there so, uh, super secret "read the a/n for the official ending" type... of.... thing....
Still on the empty creative energy tank train.... please send help
Explaining time~
1. They decided to put the bags in first because that was the only thing on the readers mind. I tried to make this in the mindset of an older/pre-teen kid who doesn't really know what to do but has some background knowledge on the subject.
2. My mother (and the internet) always put the bag of water containing the fish into the fish tank BEFORE releasing them into the tank. Something about the temperature in the bag and the temperature in the tank... I don't really know why but that's what you're supposed to do.
3. I looked up two or three different sites that talked about festivals in Japan and transfered that information into a one shot and just kind of hoped for the best
4. The only detail from the requster was "can it not be focused on romance?" and I asked if that meant no romance (like a friend! x friend! one shot) or little romance (add romance at the end) and the requester choose add romance in the end. So I hope I was able to pull that off!
That should be all the explaining but umm yeah
LOVE YOU GUYS

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?

Vendor of Spirits
A warlock once made a pact with the Powers Above. He snuck in a clause that resurrected him whenever he died, with all his memories intact. He lived for thousands of years in a hundred different bodies, changing the world into a dystopian regime where he could freely pursue his passions: alcohol, television and ducks. This made the Powers Above very angry, so they erased his memories and reincarnated him as a simple barmaid in a sleepy village where she could do no harm. I don’t know any of this, of course. I just find it very annoying that she’s chosen me to tag along with.

(First take on writing something so please be easy on me. I plan on including different elements I feel will make a good story like leveling, stats boxes, spells, reincarnation, betrayal, and so much more. I prefer to do some background building while also balancing character development to deliver a good story so be prepared. I'm planning to write this novel for a long time while also adapting and learning to become better at it. Feedback will be appreciated and if editing is needed I will do my best.) Posting Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and possibly Sundays. Thanks from ianwest!
