"(y/n)." You heard and opened your eyes, seeing the sun. You sat up.
"D-Did I sleep thought my shift? I'm so sorry!" You apologized but Sombra held his hoof up.
"Don't be. When I went to wake you, you seemed to be resting so well that I decided to take your shift." Sombra explanation. You stood.
"But what about you?" You asked. Sombra smiled.
"I have been asleep for over one thousand years, staying awake for one night won't hurt me." Sombra said. You nodded, but still had a bad feeling. Sombra then walked out of the cave and you ran after him. You felt your leg was better and must have healed in the night. Maybe it wasn't as bad as you thought.
"King Sombra, you have to sleep a little at least." You said. He nodded.
"I will, but lets get a few miles in." Sombra said. You smiled, happy that he will sleep a bit and you both started to walk down the mountain slowly. You slid a few times with how steep it was, but didn't fall. You saw that Sombra was also sliding a bit.
"(y/n), careful, the dirt is uneven here." Sombra said. You were about to say OK when Sombra's foot slipped and he fell down the mountain, screaming.
"Sombra!" You yelled, backing up a bit and jumped. With you being a Pegasus, you learned how to be quick on your feet. You landing in front of him as he slammed into you but you held your ground, sliding back with the force but you stopped him. You were breathing heard and looked at him. He looked to be knocked out and you moved slowly. You saw a bit of blood on his head. He must of hit it. You looked at his legs and saw that his front, right leg was bent wrong.

"Shit." You said and took a deep breath. You got down and gently rolled him onto your back. so you could carry him. You then stood. He was not light, but you could manage. You looked down the mountain and saw that you were close. You went slower but made it down. Once down, you started to walk. He made a groaning sound every now and again and that made you happy. You also saw that the blood coming from his head was now dry and old, showing you that it had stopped bleeding.
"Are you OK?" You heard and looked, seeing a female unicorn.
"Help, please." You said. She ran over to you.
"How can I help?" She asked. Her cutie mark was of a tree.

Checkpoint
as an anomaly sweeps the world, many gain strange abilities. as for Mal, the power makes it so they cannot die, or more accurately, they get sent back in time to the last place they were safe at. A power that seems like a blessing until you’re crushed under rubble, drowned in sewage, shot, stabbed, all while having the royalties to feel all the pain from such fates. And to put the icing on the cake, a strange message appeared before everyone’s eyes stating that unless someone breaks down the gate within 17 years, everyone will die”. now Mal needs to find a way to “break down the gate” (whatever the hell that means) or they will be forced to die and revive, only to die again for the rest of time. Which would suck, probably. /————————————————— this is technically a time loop novel. the MC is chaotic neutral with a worryingly lack of care about how their actions affect people. i want to interact with my readers so give critique and suggestions. I will sometimes host polls for the personality for new characters, story decisions, and the ability to cancel annoying characters, besides Mal, if they get enough complaints. I am also impatient and will end decision polls when I want to write more. If no one votes, I choose, so don’t let that happen. if you’re want world building check out hitchhikers guide to checkpoint (an encyclopedia of what I made up with lots more explanation)

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
