You walked into your house and saw Sombra looking at a blueprint. You know it was for Honey. He had wanted to make her a new one for a while.
"Hey, how are the blue prints coming?" You asked, placing the oranges and hay away. Sombra stood, sighing.
"It's going fine, only I want to give her another shelve. I was thinking that maybe we could start a trade with a another town and get some honey." Sombra said, walking up and kissed your cheek. You smiled.
"OH? What town?" You asked. Sombra became silent.
"One that's close by. They are sending some ponies today to talk with us." Sombra said. You knew he was hiding something from you.
"Sombra." You said but before you could make him talk, a knock came from the door. You walked over, answering it.
"Hey Fruit." You said. She smiled.
"Hey (y/n), hey Sombra, the visitors will be here soon, we are all going to meet them so we can show off out town but we can't do that with out our mayors. Can you believe it's been a year since we asked you?" Fruit asked. You gave a small laugh.
"Not really. It's been six years since we came here." You said as you walked with her and Sombra. Fruit nodded.
"I know. We are glad you stayed. It made our small town grow." Fruit said. You couldn't help but agree. You loved it here, as did Sombra. You then saw the others, talking around a small fountain that was put in about a month ago. Scarlet then saw you and smiled, waving.
"Hey (y/n), hey Sombra, just in time. Thunder sad he was the ponies from Ponyville coming in. They will be here soon." Scarlet said. You stopped, looking at Sombra. He looked at you.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I know you wouldn't want to do business with them otherwise but I think this is a good time for you to apologize." Sombra said. you sighed.
"Maybe." You said and started to walk over again.
"So, the ponies are from your home town?" Steel asked. You nodded.
"You nervous?" Honey asked. You nodded again. You then saw some ponies walking up. You looked in horror while the other cheered.
Rarity was wearing a blindfold and walking in between Rainbow and Applejack. Twilight was leading them while Pinkie was looking around and Fluttershy was wearing a mussel. They all stopped at seeing you and Sombra.
"(y/n), Sombra?" Twilight asked in shock. You didn't say anything but Sombra took a step forward.
"Welcome to Cometville." Sombra said.
"Hold on, what are you two doing here?" Rainbow asked.
"They are our mayors! Let me do the interruptions! My name is Honey Drop and that's Steel Armor, Fruit Flower, Scarlet Needle, Thunder Blaze and Caramel Chaser. " Honey said with a smile.
"Yep, and like Sombra said, welcome to Cometville. We all wanted to come and say hi, but we have to go back to our work so you can see how we run our town. Sombra and (y/n) will give you the grand tour." Scarlet said. The other nodded, leaving but you looked away.
"Y-you took over a town?" Applejack asked. You looked at her but Rainbow was glaring at you.
"Why are we even asking her anything! Lets just get her to take off this stupid curse!" Rainbow yelled, running at you. You glared at her, moved and tripped her.
"You dare insult me!" You yelled. Rainbow flinched a bit. You looked at everyone.

"Sombra and I have been living here for six years. If you want to stay, stay, if not, leave!" You yelled and turned, flying away.
"(y/n)!" You heard Sombra yelled, grabbing you with his magic and bringing you back down.
"Let me go!" You yelled but tears started to form. Sombra looked at Twilight.
"Sorry about my wife. She's still a bit hurt by you all. Please, fallow me and I will show you our town." Sombra said. You looked at Sombra. You knew he was right and you still felt the pain.
"Good!" Rarity said. You glared at her.
"I agree with Rarity. She made our lives unbearable these past six years." Applejack said. You opened your mouth but Sombra spoke first.
"And what about her? (y/n), has been miserable for over six years while living in Ponyville. I do not believe that you will be stay and seeing our town, please leave." Sombra said, setting you on the ground, wrapping his tail about yours and walked away. You followed him.
"I'm sorry (y/n). I was hoping they wouldn't send them." Sombra said. you moved closer.
"It's OK. I'm not mad at you." You said.

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!
