《Mr. Perfect & Miss Troublemaker》Chapter 35

Ashiya's PoV:
I was in Ahan's bedroom, sitting on his bed and admiring the interiors. The room was big, it's walls white and there was a king sized bed placed in the centre. A three seater sofa was kept near the balcony, which led to a beautiful view of the lawn and there was a blue dressing table with mirror kept adjacent to the bedside table. A small wooden bookshelf with boring looking books was mounted on the wall and there was a huge brown cupboard attached to the wall.. There was a family picture and an LED TV put up on the wall facing the bed. The room had a fragrance that screamed who it belonged to.
I was waiting for Ahan's cousin named Ruqaiya who would be coming with a new pair of clothes for me.The ruskhsati had been done a while ago and now I was to start my married life with my husband.
Ahan's extended family seemed to be really nice and his cousins were very welcoming. I had still not registered their names in my mind but I knew they were good people. I met Haris, Ahan's friend who cracked jokes on him and made me laugh. In gist, I wasn't feeling so odd at this house.
"Hi," I heard a voice and saw Ruqaiya standing at the door. She was carrying a bag in her right hand. "May I come in?" She smiled and I quickly nodded.
"Yes please," I answered and she entered. She was wearing a yellow kameez with white pants and white dupattaa. She had her hair down which made her look beautiful. To be honest, I felt a little insecure of myself.
"I'm Ruqaiya, Ahan Bhai's maternal cousin. I don't think anybody has told you about it but trust me I do amazing make up, of course, not that you need it much. You're very pretty I must say. And you look so young. How old are you, by the way? I'm sorry you don't have to answer that if you don't want to. Sorry..." she said all of this in one go and I just stared at her. When I didn't say anything, she touched my shoulder and I blinked. "Bhabhi? Are you okay?" She looked concerned and I nodded with a smile.
"Yeah, sorry," I said, "and thank you for the compliment. I'm twenty four." She made an O with her mouth as she heard my age.
"Okay, so this is your dress," she unzipped the bag and took out a beautiful lehnga. It was pink and had amazing embroidery on it but as I looked close, my mouth dropped.
"The blouse is...backless," I looked at her and she raised her eyebrows.

"Yeah, you don't have to go out now. The guests are gone and we'll be retiring to bed soon. You are wearing it for Bhai, you know," she winked and I blushed.
"Ruqaiya...," I tried to make her understand but didn't know what to say.
"What happened Bhabi? Don't you like it? I can bring another dress if you want," she offered but I shook my head.
"No no, it's beautiful but...,"I fidgeted with my fingers, "it's just that I've never worn such type of dress. I don't think this will look good on me." Ruqaiya frowned and then slapped her forehead.
"Trust me, Bhabi, this will look amazing on you. You just have to be confident. You have good physique so it should not be a problem for you," she assured me and I bit my lip in nervousness. I had never ever worn a blouse like that. It was backless, short in length and the sleeves would barely cover my shoulders but it also looked pretty. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want to wear it but I didn't know if I'd be able to carry it. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and then nodded.
"Okay," I breathed and a wide grin appeared on Ruqaiya's face.
.
.
.
This was a bad idea, a very, very bad idea. I knew I shouldn't have tried to do such a stunt. These type of dresses aren't made for me. Ya Allah! Why did I have to make fun of myself?
"Bhabhi, you look amazing!" Ruqaiya exclaimed and I looked bewildered at her. Is she mocking me? "Man Aa say Ahan Bhai is one lucky man." She didn't sound like she was making fun of me.
"Please be truthful," I looked her in the eye and she frowned.
"Why would I lie? Here, take a look in the mirror," She took me to the mirror and as I looked at it, I gasped. "See, do you believe me now?"
I blinked twice and thrice to make sure that I wasn't hallucinating. No I wasn't. The person in the mirror was indeed me. I had never imagined myself to be looking so gorgeous in anything. The lehnga looked pretty on me as the blouse hugged my bosom perfectly. My curves were visible for the first time in my life and I was in awe. I wasn't wearing my hijab now so my hair was pulled into a bun and my head was covered by the heavy dupatta. It also managed to cover my tightly packed chest and I was thankful for that since I didn't want to reveal too much for now.

I was wearing my pearl earrings and mangtika but Ruqaiya had taken off my heavy necklace and I couldn't be more grateful for that. I realised how foolish I was to have declared myself ugly even before taking a look in the mirror. Foolish me.
"It's time for me to leave now," Ruqaiya's voice brought me out of my thoughts, "all the best to you." She blew a flying kiss at me and was soon out of the room. I sat on the bed and waited for ten minutes before I heard the door knob turning.
Ahan entered the room and filled it with his powerful aura. He had changed from his white sherwani into a simple black kurta and he managed to look dope in it too. His hair was a little messy and it made him look younger and carefree. I realised I had been checking him out shamelessly like I had done a few hours ago and it made me look down in embarassment. He seemed to have noticed it too which is why he smirked and shook his head.
Eyeing me from top to bottom, particularly my bare arms, he took slow steps towards me, took off his wrist watch and kept it on the table. I don't know which perfume did he use but he smelled so good and seductive. It made me want to bury myself in his arms and...
Astagfirullah! Control yourself.
"No need," He mused and I jumped in surprise.
"Sorry?" I must have looked like an idiot.
"There's no need to control yourself, I'm all yours," He completed and I opened my mouth in shock. Did I say that out loud? He bit his lower lip to suppress a chuckle as he half lay down on the bed, supporting himself on his elbow and facing me.
"I...I wasn't thinking about anything like that," I defended myself but I sounded like a kid.
"I never said you were," he still had his hot-as-hell smirk on and it frustrated me.
"Don't make fun of me," I glared and he burst out laughing. His musical laughter filled the room and I'm sure people outside must be making weird faces.
It was a refreshing sound though, so beautiful yet manly. But I didn't let that affect my glare and soon he was sitting upright, not laughing anymore.
"Sorry," he smiled and I stopped myself from smiling back at him. It was hard, I must say. We were silent for few seconds before he spoke, "Ashiya..." My heart thumped on hearing him take my name. It was the first time he had said it and I loved how it sounded.
"Hmm?" I nodded as I played with my fingers.
"Your hair...," I looked up at him and saw his eyes fixated on me. What? Does my hair smell or something? But I had been to spa just a couple of days back so how can it...Oh! It was the first time I was sitting in front of him without a hijab and he noticed it. My head was still covered with the dupatta but a few hair strands were visible. I hope they looked good. "Can I see it?" He asked and I saw his Adam's apple move a little. I sat silent for a minute which made him worried.
"It's okay if you're not comfortable," he said in an innocent tone and I couldn't help but smile at how adorable he looked.
"It's fine, I can...show it to you," I got up from the bed and walked to the mirror, "but turn around and don't look at me until I tell you to." He nodded like a child and did as I told.
I took off the dupatta from my head and undid my bun. Of course, it was no movie so my hair looked a little messy. I picked a comb from the dressing table and ran it through my hair. Thanks to the three hour spa session, my brown hair looked shiny and healthy. I had also had a haircut to not make myself look homeless which proved to be a great decision.
I turned to look at Ahan and saw his back facing me. Cute. Clearing my throat, I spoke, "You can look at me now." He turned around abruptly and for a second he sat still. His mouth dropped a little and I bit my lip in confusion. Does he not find me attractive now? He stood up and started walking in my direction. Just when we were inches apart, he stopped. I had started feeling nervous again thanks to his silence so I began looking anywhere but him.
"Wow," he breathed and relief washed over me. Gathering some courage, I looked up and his eyes seemed a little dark now. He was gazing at me intensely, as if in a deep thought. He lifted his right hand and took some some strands of my hair in it. "You're gorgeous...," He whispered as if trying hard to breathe. I gulped looking at how he stared at me and lowered my eyes when I couldn't handle the intensity. Then, I felt a feathery touch on my forehead and I realised that it was a kiss. From him.
