《THE RELIC GUILD (and other stories) Updated regularly.》IDEAL VILLAGE (part 10 of 10)

As October changed to November, it snowed early, as if the weather had decided a good covering of pure white was just what the villagers needed.
On the village green, Max Framley the carpenter, and Gill Croup the engraver, worked in the cold. They had disassembled the old village sign, and were now erecting the new one, which had been kindly donated by Lady Kimble-Blanc. Unseen and silent, Mr Cavendish watched Max and Gill work, as did two others: Lanky, who stood alongside the new Mayor and Chairman of the Parish Council, Charlie Pankhurst.
"Time to set things right," said Charlie. "I want nothing more than to wash away my father's madness for good."
"And there's no better man for the job, Charlie," Lanky replied, and he smiled somewhat wistfully. "You were a good bobby, though, and we'll miss you at the station."
"Nothing bad will ever come to this community again," Charlie promised, and so saying, he looked down at the old village sign: Welcome to Ideal Village. He looked up at the new sign, and read it aloud:
"This is Good Village."
"The final phase of the Plan," said Lanky.
Having finished erecting the sign, Max and Gill stepped back alongside Lanky and Charlie to admire their handiwork.
"Not bad at all," Gill said.
"And it makes sense," said Max.
"It certainly does," Charlie agreed.
"You know," said Lanky. "I'll never understand why someone didn't suggest changing the name of the village years ago."
Behind him, Mr Cavendish gave a wry smile. There was nothing left for him to do, and so, pulling his coat tighter about him, he set off through the snow, and headed home.

Sage of Shadows
Daniel Bishop is a thief, grifter, and part-time pickpocket. Or at least he was, until the apocalypse hit. Now he's fighting everyone and everything for survival, utilizing the strange new game-like tools he the rest of humanity received at the beginning of this mess. Will Daniel survive and thrive in this new world, or is he doomed to become just another nameless casualty of this new world? Hello, I am an aspiring author and I am using this fiction as an experiment to refine my writing style. If you have any feedback, please do not hesitate to comment, it would be much appreciated. I currently do not have an exact release schedule, but will aim for one chapter a week. Content warnings are for creative freedom. Thanks for reading my story, I hope you enjoy it!

The Gambit
The kingdoms have rarely experienced peace, with kings and rulers warring against each other on any percieved slight. With explorers riding the waves to find new lands and merchants eager to set up trade routes while profiting as much as possible. Would the status quo still hold up? The veil is already weakining as more magic and horrors seep through the gap. How would the world deal with the sudden increase in the limited resource of magic? With the times changing, barren lands become trade hubs and the power shifts. The system holding it all together, is in a fragile balance, would a single death break the balance and cause the most devastating war the people have experienced. The direction of the story : The story will not contain any main protagonist, rather multiple protagonists and antagonists with the protagonists having bad some character traits and the antagonists some good ones. I plan to make a story of flawed humans, so if you are looking for OP MCs you would not enjoy it. But I still hope you give it a try. This is my first time writing and I am doing it to get better, so any suggestion or criticism is welcome. I am a university student, so do not expect a robust upload schedule, I'll try to put out 2 chapters a week, but there might be some delays. I apologize for it in advance. P.s. English is not my native language, so there might be some errors, though I tried to mitigate them as much as possible.

My Poetry
So I think some of you know that I already write poetry. Most of my poetry is free verse. I thought why not go ahead and just make a poetry book in here. Some of this is poetry I've already written, others are brand new. God I'm really nervous about this, I don't usually share my poetry.
