Mohabbat Ho To Sachi To Hota

THIRD PERSON'S POV
Days passed and Mustafa was getting anxious about the day his father will ask her about their alliance. Time was passing and he was scared that this time too she will leave.
He was getting frustrated seeing Maria too close with Murat. She was very comfortable with him. Her day started with Murat and ended on him.
His possesiveness for her was increasing day by day and now it was impossible to stay away from her.
She was everywhere, in his dreams, in his thoughts, he even saw her at the hospital. Only he knew how he was stopping himself from going near her.
He wanted his father to ask her as soon as possible. Walking towards his father's study he knocked it, getting a faint 'come in' as a reply. He was going to talk with his father after so many days.
His father was still angry with him for giving his proposal for his daughter.
Taking a deep breath he stepped inside the study.
After a few minutes of silence he cleared his throat to get his father's attention. Aaqib Ahwaan looked at his eldest son asking him to continue
"Have you spoken to her ?"
He came directly to the point, maintaining an eye to eye contact with his father.
"I was about to but since you are here I'll call her now and ask her."
Without sparing him any glance his father picked up his phone and called her.
"Princess, I want to talk with you about something. Come to your dado's room. I will meet you there."
Cutting the call both the men stood up and started walking towards Rubana Ahwaan's room. Entering the room they already found Maria sitting there talking with Rubana begum.
She got confused seeing Mustafa with her Abba but nonetheless kept quiet waiting for him to start.
He went towards her and her hand in his, giving her a smile before starting.
"Princess, please keep your mind open while I ask you something ?"
"You are scaring me Abba, please tell me what's the matter ?"
She herself got nervous seeing her father hesitant. All eyes were set on her, making her hands sweaty with anticipation.
"Mustafa asked for your hand in marriage."
He blasted the same bomb on her which he got blasted with days ago.
"What ?"
Her eyes widened hearing him. She felt shocked for few moments and then felt rage building up inside her but she controlled it by closing her eyes and taking a deep breath.
When she opened her eyes she found him standing beside her, looking at her fearlessly, repeating what his father said
"I want to get married with you."
His voice was strong and dominant. It was as if he was telling her that they are going to get married.
"But Abba I....."
Breaking her eye contact with Mustafa she turned towards her father who smiled at her in return and spoke
"There is no pressure on you, beta. You can take as much time you want and then tell your answer."
Patting her head he smiled at her making her feel relaxed. She was scared thinking her father was with Mustafa but when he said there was no pressure on her she felt relieved. She knew what her answer was and didn't needed any time to think about it.
"I don't need time Abba. I already have my answer."
She looked up towards her father who's face was blank, then at Mustafa who was begging her with his eyes to say yes, whereas dado was looking at her with hope.

"I don't want to marry him."
Her answer was confident but her eyes held a little nervousness. She was scared of her Abba's reaction. She was afraid that he will not be happy with her decision.
"You all got her answer and...."
"I want to talk with her. Alone."
Cutting her father in the middle he turned towards Maria who's eyes were casted downwards but hearing him she got up from her place and said
"Can I go Abba ?"
Taking permission from her Abba she stood up to leave totally ignoring Mustafa who was looking at her only.
"I really want you to get married. I want you to spend your life with someone who'll protect you, who will love you and care for you. I'll be in peace when I'll see you with a good man."
Aaqib Ahwaan expressed his wish to see her married but she mistook it thinking he wanted her to get married with Mustafa.
"But you said I am not pressurized to marry him."
She turned horrified, and looked at her Abba who shook his head clearing misunderstanding with her.
"When did I took his name beta ? I want you to get married with whomsoever you want to because I want to see you happy."
Giving him a small nod, she found him smiling at her and she turned towards the door and got out, leaving a fuming Mustafa behind.
"Dare you pressurise her son and you'll see the worst man on earth."
His father warned, seeing his angry face. He too left after her without paying heed to his father's warning.
Turning towards where she was going he increased his pace to reach her, alerting her. She started walking fast seeing him but he caught her wrist, and took her inside one of the guestrooms and locked it not wanting any interference between them.
"What are doing ? Leave my hand."
She shouted and he left her only to hold her again with her waist, pulling her closer towards himself.
"Have you gone mad ? Leave me."
She tried taking his hands off her waist but his hold was strong and he wasn't ready to let her go.
"Yes, I have gone mad in your love. You made me mad and now I am not going to stop until you are mine."
His hold on her strengthened, his pupils dilating with love but the next second his expressions changed to that of anger.
"Why did you say NO ?"
Holding her chin up he asked getting angry second by second. She was quiet her eyes casted downwards, ignoring him.
"ANSWER ME DAMMIT."
He shouted making her flinch on his harsh tone but this time she didn't cowered and looked inside his eyes with a fearless look.
"Don't raise your voice at me. I am not the meek girl anymore who used to listen to your orders and complied to your every demand."
She warned, earning a hearty chuckle from him. He looked like a devil in disguise with a dangerous smile on his face and eyes red with anger. His fear of losing her was taking toll on his senses which was coming out in the form of anger and frustration.
"Don't try to change the topic, Maria. I am not going to repeat myself and I want my answer this INSTANT."
He closed his eyes trying to control his anger. He knew his anger would complicate things more further.
"I don't want to marry you because you hurt me. You broke me. You hurt me to the extent that I am hating myself for loving you, for believing you. You burned down everything with your own damn hands and now you have the audacity to ask me such a stupid question. Either you are a fool or you don't want to accept that I don't love you anymore."

She choked down her own words, but didn't cried. She wanted to tell him, to make him believe that her love for him died, it died with her old self. She wanted him to believe in lies she was feeding herself with all these years.
"I...."
He was speechless hearing her and that was her queue to push him, creating distance between them.
"Speechless aren't we ? Truth always hurt Mr. Mustafa Ahwaan. It always stings. But you know what, truth cannot be changed. You scream, you shout, you pray for it to be a lie but once a truth is always a truth."
Giving him another glance she turned towards the door only to be pulled back towards him, angering her.
"Can't you see I love you ? I can't live without you girl. Why are you not understanding me ?"
He looked desperate, his eyes pleading with unshed tears, but his words made her laugh bitterly. Four years ago the same thing happened with her. She too was desperate just like him, she too held onto the rope of her love hoping for him to accept her. History was repeating itself making her laugh on her fate. She never imagined this day to come.
"Love!!! You say you love me. Then tell me where was your love when I needed you. Where was your love when you married her ? Where was your love when you broke me everyday with your harsh words ? Where was your damn love when I cried every single night cursing myself for falling in love with you."
Hell broke lose within her. She was pouring her frustration, her pain into her words. She was screaming, crying for everything she went through.
"I am really sorry for everything. Please forgive me, Maria. I really do love you."
He held her tightly in his arms seeing her loosing her balance due to crying.
Sliding down on the floor she cried for her poor heart. For the girl who saw too much good in the world. For the girl who was too optimistic for her own good. He was hurting her by saying things that didn't mattered now.
"Why did you married her if you loved me back then ? You destroyed her life too along with mine. You and your selfish ego destroyed us. It killed me everyday to see you with her. I died everyday, every minute thinking I was to loose you. Hilarious, Isn't it ?
You were not even mine for me to loose you. You never were. I was living in a delusional world thinking of you as mine but as I said truth is truth and it cannot be changed. No matter how much you cry, how much you shout, it doesn't change. And the truth of my life was that we were never meant to be mine. She was written in your destiny, not me."
She cried clutching his collar reminiscing the painful days she went through. Pain became her best friend, her companion those days. Those days were horrible and she didn't wanted to go through them again. She was tired of everything.
"Forgive me and please give me another chance to make everything right between us. To give you the love you deserve."
He knew everything he did was wrong but.... Well didn't have anything to speak other than asking for her forgiveness.
Taking a deep breath she looked towards him with the same look she used to give him four years ago, letting her walls down for few moments to make him understand they aren't meant to be and it's better for him to move on cause it was not possible to forget everything and accept him.
"I do deserve love but not your's. And I request you to forget about me and move on. You have a daughter to take care of. Look for a good girl and....."
"Shhhh I don't want anyone except you. I love you and I won't spoil anyone's life while I am still in love with you."
No one can take your place not in my heart nor in my life. It has always belonged to you and will remain so till my last breath.
Keeping his hand on her mouth he stopped her from speaking further. Her advice to move on was making him angry. He knew who he wanted to spend his life with. Spending life with her was not an option but a necessity to keep his sanity with him.
"And I said I won't marry you. So, stop dreaming about us together and get a reality check. I won't marry you, EVER."
She hissed, her expressions turning hard again. Why he wasn't able to understand she will never marry him ? She won't risk herself falling into that painful abyss again.
"Get ready to become Mrs. Mustafa Ahwaan because I am not going to stop until I make you my MINE ."
He smirked challenging her to stop him if she can. He was determined to have her as his wife and no one in this world could stop him from making her his, not even her.
"Keep dreaming Mr. Ahwaan. But you see there is a difference between dreams and reality. And in reality I won't marry you, ever."
Patting his shoulder she gave him a pitiful look, mocking him for thinking that she will marry him.
"You will. So start preparing yourself to be my wife."
Pulling her closer he whispered, his lips grazing softly over her ear, irupting goosebumps all over her skin.
"Then touch me only when you become my husband cause now you have no right to touch me."
She warned, pushing him away from her. She was angry at him for making her feel things she didn't want to.
"Don't back down on your words after our marriage cause I swear, I am not going to leave you after that."
He smirked, trapping her in her own words. He was teasing her but he was dead serious to make her his wife and he knew he was going to win. He never faced any defeat and he was determined to win at any cost when he was getting her.
"Good luck on your defeat, soon to be biwi."
Smiling confidently, he turned to leave the room, kissing her cheeks as a farewell.
"No kiss until you become my wife."
"As if I am dying to be your wife."
Pushing him aside she got out of the room, rubbing her cheek, trying to erase his touch from it, mumbling profanities in his praise.

Because even if I don't want too that's not really how fate works, is it? You don't pick and choose fates plan, you get slammed with it and good luck to your poor soul. This is my story, the kind that was written years before I was even born, and now I'm living it. Watch me make a mess of it too, because after all, I wasn't born to follow. P.S. This book is technically #1, but I have a book before this one that's about their parents. You learn more, and get a clue about their parents and why they are the way they are. Some of the conversations in this book would make more sense by knowing the past. It's not as well written, but if you can get thought it, I promise you'll love this one even more. Of course if you rather start here, then you do you! It will make sense either way! I tired to fill in all the gaps without it getting overbearing.
