Arriving in Quantico was a relief. Even though they had another case coming the next day, JJ, Morgan and Reid were happy to be home for once. The familiar faces and places made the three feel safe and at ease for the first time in two weeks. Morgan, JJ, and Reid decided to go celebrate at a local coffee shop. The three walked up to the counter as Reid ordered a small decaffeinated coffee with two packets of sugar, Morgan ordered a medium cappuccino and JJ ordered a large coffee with shots of espresso. The three sat at the table near a window, to watch the rain. "Espresso? At 10:30 pm?" Morgan laughed at JJ as she took a large sip of her coffee. "Don't you wanna sleep tonight?" Morgan asked as he yawned. "My night has just begun." JJ said winking at Reid as he raised his eyebrows. "Alright lovers." Morgan said laughing. "It is really good to be back here though. The big apple was enough." JJ said sighing. "I agree." Reid said pointing to his gunshot wound. The two nodded their heads. "So how are you feeling? After all, we left there untouched, physically at least." Morgan asked. "I'm alright. A lot better." Reid said smiling. The three discussed things for another hour before they all decided to be on their way. Reid and JJ decided to walk to Reid's apartment together, as the rain had become more so a mist. It was lovely outside. Though it was late, it was peaceful and quiet. "Kinda romantic right? No one else is crazy enough to walk out here at 11:30 pm on a cold and stormy night holding hands with the person who they love more than life itself if not for being in love. The glistening streets misted with rain not near as beautiful as the sparkling eyes of the one whom I stand with now." Reid said looking at the stars. JJ admired Reid as he recited what sounded like a poem. She was shocked but also intrigued by his romantic side. "The stars twinkling, the quiet city street. It's beautiful. Like a fairy tale." He said smiling at the stars up above him. "Wow Spence." JJ said smiling. "What?" he asked confused. "I never knew you were a poet." she responded giggling softly. "I'm not. I'm only a man in love with a beautiful, sweet, perfect woman." he said kissing her on the forehead. "Aw, Spence." JJ said starting to tear up. "I love you." she whispered, wrapping her arms around his head kissing him softly. He wrapped his arms around her waist as the two stood there becoming soaked from the rain, now pouring down on them. The two embraced as they were interrupted by a loud car horn. "Ayo pretty boy!" a voice called out from the red sports car. The two looked over and burst out laughing. "Do you two need a ride? You look like wet dogs." Morgan said winking at Reid, who had red lipstick smeared across his lips. "Shut up Morgan." Reid said laughing. "Hop in pretty boy." Morgan said smiling wide.

Double-Blind: A Modern LITRPG
Choosing a college when your family is struggling can be difficult, but it isn’t supposed to be world ending. And the falling meteor is seriously limiting Matt’s options. Now in the aftermath, his home city is locked down by a mysterious dome, corporations are looking to monopolize a wealth of new untapped resources, and people are suddenly developing powers via a system that seems to have borderline sinister intentions. In the chaos, he decides to stick to what he knows: stay out of the spotlight, grind, and survive. Watch as Matt is dragged into a dark LITRPG set in the real world, where the price of failure is death, and the prize for winning is beyond his wildest dreams. ++++++++++++++++++ There’s a couple big influences here: Solo-Leveling, Squid Game, and Code Geass. If you enjoy LITRPG stories with morally gray characters, high stakes, and smart protagonists who start weak and eventually become powerful in a unique way, you’ll probably find something to like. But be forewarned. It won’t be easy. I'll be writing this fast, so keep in mind there's likely to be typos that we'll correct as we go. Developmental Editing by Lev.
