《JR A Jeid Fanfic》better to hold

Reid woke up in a small cabin like home in the woods. He felt dizzy and had noticed he had been drugged. As his vision returned to him, he scanned the area looking for JJ. "Jaydge?" he whispered, as he heard a soft mumble. He blinked multiple times until he found JJ laying a few yards away. He shook her gently, and grabbed her hand in attempt to wake her up. She woke up violently as if coming from a nightmare. "No! Stop! Please!" she yelled as Reid placed his hand over her mouth. "Shh it's me." he whispered holding her and rocking her back and forth. "Spence, I'm so sorry. I'm stupid. I shouldn't have been in there alone. You'd think I'd know better than to split up with you with a psychopath on the lose." she said softly, crying and grabbing Reid's hand tightly. "It's not your fault, but listen, where the hell are we?" Reid asked, scanning the surroundings. There was a wooden rocking chair next to where the two lay on the cold wooden ground. The doors were chained and the windows had boards overtop of them. The only light came from a single candle, that lit a small desk. There was another small room that had no lock over it, with a tiny ray of light shining through it. JJ shook her head and responded, "I don't know, he drugged me." Reid took a deep breath followed by a sigh, "Me too." he choked out. "Wait, don't you have your watch?" JJ asked, grabbing Reid's wrist. "Yea, but how could that help us." he responded, still scanning the room for any weapons or way to escape. "Well, um, we arrived around noon, and it's only 1:45, so we can't be too terribly far." JJ said holding back tears. Reid faked a smile and nodded his head at her. She tended to have a bit more optimism in solving a crime since they got married. Although he admired it, he hadn't had near as much hope as she did. Suddenly the two were interrupted by a loud thud, as the door was quickly unlocked. "Hey you two." said the familiar 'janitor'. "Sleep well?" he asked, biting his thumb nail, locking back the chain. Reid grabbed JJ's hand and scratched her palm, something he tended to do when he was nervous. The man laughed as he squat down next to JJ. She bit her lip to hold back tears and held her breath. "Something about you two. It's different. You won't let go of her hand." the man said looking at Reid straight in the face. The man smirked as he crossed his arms and leaned against the across from the two. "So what do you say,

want to have your first challenge, agent?" the man said grabbing a knife out of his pocket. The same knife that two hours ago was held to JJ's throat. "What would that be." Reid choked out, clenching her hand tighter. "Well, well, if you love holding her hand so much, who's hand is the better to hold?" the man said shrugging his shoulders. "What the hell?" JJ whispered to the man. "Oh yes, a woman." he said laughing. He sat in front of her with his mouth just a few inches away from hers and said softly, "Who's hand shall I slice?" JJ and Reid looked at each other in shock. "Hmm, 30 seconds." he said running the blade of the knife between his fingers. "Spence what the hell is he-" JJ tried to say as Reid cut her off. "Mine." The man nodded his head and grabbed Reid's hand with his own. "Tell me now, agent, did they teach you anything about this feeling with all those PhDs?" Reid winced as the man ran his blade not once, not twice, but four times over his palm, tracing the blade to the back of his hand. JJ began to cry softly as Reid moaned a bit in pain. "Well, that wasn't too bad, was it?" the man said, taunting Reid as he felt the knife. "See you all don't know the rules yet, do you?" the man said in a low voice. "Well, I mean you say you love each other, but each hour you'll be tested. New punishments. At the end, you will chose who deserves life, and who deserves death. May the better spouse win. After all, there's no such thing as love. Not for me at least. Is that right Dr.Reid?" the man said, dropping the knife in front of the two and slamming the locked door behind him.
