A loud crashing noise came from downstairs and both males jumped. Red saw a flash of black and red whisk by, several Pokémon following after. The Pokémon knocked out the guards and people stood at the entrance to the museum, the large red R on their clothes naturally stating who they were for them.
Red grit his teeth and ran down the stairs after the grunts, Green not far behind him. He reached for a Pokeball from his belt, and to his dismay there were none. The receptionist had taken them, realization dawned on him.
"Growlithe use Roar!" the grunt instructed, his whip tight in hand. The Pokémon got the message, sending a Roar towards Red and Green causing them to go flying against the back wall.
"Don't mess with Team Rocket!" they declared before leaving. Red and Green picked themselves up before running outside, but they were already long gone. Green cursed under his breath and left inside to get their Pokemon.
A man in a baige coat approached Red, "Damn, they just got away." the man cursed. He was a tall man, his baige coat ran to his boots and he had a very professional look about him.
"You must be Red." he confirmed holding out his hand, "Codename: Looker. I'm with the international police. It's a pleasure to meet you." he kept his hand outstretched for Red to take, but Red instead looked around to see where Green had gone. He didn't want a repeat of what happened last time.
Green came up behind him, taking the Looker's hand, "Hello sir. My name is Green Oak, I'm the gym leader of the Viridian gym, and this is Red, the champion of Kanto, nice to meet you." Green introduced himself and Red.
"That's great, you two have experience with Team Rocket, no?" Looker asked, Red was getting a bad feeling about this. Green answered, "Yes, sir."
"Good, I was wondering if you could help us with a job. You see, this morning a group claiming to be Team Rocket took control of the Research Lab on Cinnabar Island. Since you two have experience with the group, we wanted you to help us with an undercover mission to retake the lab. They've got dangerous Pokémon with them this time." Looker explained, Green nodded in understanding.

He looked over at Red who was feeling a sudden burst of determination, before looking back at the Policeman, "Of course we'll help." he replied.
"Great, come with us when you're ready." Looker waved to the aircraft and left to give the boy's some time to think.
"Pokemon?" Red asked Green, Green looked at him, a new stroke of fire in his eyes, it was a look that almost scared Red.
"They took them. Which is why we have to get them back as soon as possible." Green told Red. Red felt the same spark in himself that he had seen in his friend's brown eyes. He nodded to his friend and they took off for the aircraft.
"Alright so what we're going for is an infultration operation. We need both of you to sneak in. The main things to know here are if there's hostages, where the fossils are contained, and what their doing with the lab. Got it?" Looker asked.
Both boys nodded, but Red was starting to get kinda queasy, being surrounded by Team Rocket Grunts without his Pokemon seemed like a nightmare. He was just glad he wasn't going alone.
"If the grunts ask for ID, flash them these fake cards and say that you're rookies." Looker handed them cards.
Wait, no, no one told Red that he'd have to talk to them. The security guard was enough, but actual villainous people? Red started to cold sweat, a shudder rushing up his spine.
Green grabbed his hand, "It'll be fine, okay? I'll be there with you." he brought Red's hand up and pressed his lips on his knuckles for comfort, when they brought there hands back down, Green rubbed his thumb over Red's hand to keep him calm.
To Red's dismay it was working.
Looker gave them each a Team Rocket uniform and fake ID cards. When Green put the hat on, he could barely recognize him. He just hoped it was working just as well for himself.
They landed the aircraft by the abandoned mansion and Looker showed them the entrance they'd be taking into the lab. Green and Red stroled into the entrance and the mission began.

Red had underestimated just how many Grunts were actually in the building, discomfort slowly made itself known to him. How he wished that Green could hold his hand right now, but at the same time, Red was glad that he wasn't holding the boy's hand anymore.
They had both matured and he needed to get a grip, Green couldn't hold his hand forever. Past pains erupted and Red pushed them back down, he couldn't afford to lose his cool here.
So far there were no signs of the researchers who worked here, it was likely that they had fled the scene when all of this started. Red and Green made their way down a long hallway, they had seen a few fossils here and there, but no real mass of them as of yet.
At the end of the hall, voices could be heard coming from the last door in the hallway, Green walked on ahead and when Red caught on he followed.
"This is a nice haul boys. Aerodactyls sure do fetch a high price, don't they?" a grunt chuckled the rest of them laughed with him.
Red opened the door just a cracked and looked in, several people surrounded boxes of fossils, all of them cackling at their work.
"We'll take them out, look there." Green pointed to a table where several Pokéballs lie, those must be the Pokémon they stole.
Red nodded to Green.
"Hey! What are you two doing?!" they heard a grunt yell. Green shot up, "Uhh, we just wanted see the goods that y'all were talking about. We're rookies and we haven't even seen the fossils yet."
"Hmm..." the grunt sounded suspicious, "What are your names?"
"Rocket Grunt Chartreuse reporting sir!" Green showed them his card. "And this is-"
"He can speak for himself. Hey newbie, what's your name?" the grunt singled Red out and he tried to speak, but his mouth had run dry. Suddenly his hands felt clammy and he began to feel a cold sweat. He looked at Green who looked concerned, but it looked like he was trying to urge Red to speak up.
After a minute or two, the rocket grunt looked back at the others and nodded, then snapped his fingers. It all happened so quick, a Hypno came out of nowhere and hit Red with hypnosis.
Red tried to move his limbs, but found extreme difficulty in doing so, then his limbs began to move on his own. His body turned to Green, he tried to turn away, but Green just looked on him with a nervous face.
"Hey Red, you good? I'm right here yknow, it's okay." he said backing up.
Red felt his body raise his arm in a fist, no matter how much he struggled and pained to fight it.
He wanted to tell Green he was there. He wanted to let Green know that he was safe. But he wasnt, because Red wasn't even sure he could break free of Hypno's spell at this point. Green had done so much for him today, the feeling of loneliness had been fleeting and far at the back of Red's mind. But he knew that once he swung, whether it was his own intention or not, he could never face Green again.
Red closed his eyes, gritting his teeth, just trying to get a foothold through this Hypnosis. Tears streamed down his face, this isn't how he wanted things to be. But maybe this was just another sign that Green was better off without him.
His arm swung forward, he felt his fist connect solidly with flesh, the sound it made was unbearable. When he opened his eyes, Green was on the ground, grunts all around him, kicking him, punching him, beating him.
For the first time in Red's life, he screamed.

Descendants of Cosmia
Reefa, Wellor, Rozo and Auri are four teenagers trying to get through life living in a village surrounded by the barren sands of the Hariq Desert; a village isolated from the walls of the 9 Monarchs of Cosmia. The world that lies beyond the walls involves the social segregation between humans and Haaras. Haaras are people with the ability to control elements of water, air and earth, whilst humans cannot obtain this power at all. Reefa had always thought of herself to be a human with no type of elemental wielding. However, after many reoccurences throughout her childhood in which she hears the voices of people that speak in the future, she has doubts about who she really is inside. The same phenomenon happens when she is 15 years-old, but this time the voices she hears alerts her of a future attack that will happen to the people of her village. When the time had come, Reefa and her friends escape their predicament and travel to the east towards the land of dragons known as Tetranazia. Bearing in mind the last words her aunt told her with a heavy heart, she must protect her friends from the dangers ahead and venture into the walls to search for the answers of the attack. This is an original English light novel (OELN). There will be several visuals of characters and world-building as you read this novel. The story's genre is mainly Shonen-influenced Josei and Fantasy. Do note that the story is slow-paced in development, so it might not be to your liking. I'll be updating 2 new chapters every month on the 25th (SGT).(I'm doing it monthly because I have to consider the pile of college workload I have (;_;) and I'll need extra time on drawing the illustrations) Occasionally, I'll do Bonus Releases, where I release more than 2 chapter in the next monthly update Feel free to give me feedback on my story. I will very much appreciate it! (ノ´∀`) I created this story on Scribble Hub, so you can also check it out over at their platform.

A Sky of Star and Strength
Jake was just an intelligent kid living a pretty regular life in Mill Creek, Washington. Then the apocalypse happens. Now with his Dad out of the country and totally in yet out his element, this is his story. My take on a system apocalypse based around "life force" as a currency. The main character will have a special power (as will most of the other characters) and be rather OP, you have been warned. Like many of the authors on this site I have no formal writing experience so writing tips and grammar corrections are much appreciated :)
