Red loved to tease Green. It was a fact.
The way that Green would turn a scarlet hue and start stuttering incoherently made Red's day, although he couldn't say the same for the other man.
Little things like a small kiss on the neck, or a hand on his thigh were enough to reduce the brunette to a babbling mess, and Red liked it that way.
They had only been dating for a couple of months, but there were so many new things that Red had figured out about his rival. Like how his grumpy attitude was just a facade, or how his brows quirked a bit when he concentrated, he loved everything, big and small.
He just wished he didn't have to hide it all the time.
It had been a couple months yet, none of the dexholders even knew what was going on. Not one of them. Red was surprised that he was able to keep it hidden all this time really, but his patience was wearing thin. He wanted to display how much he loved this man for all to see, but he guessed that was just his sort of childish nature, he didn't want people thinking they could take what was his. Like a small child with candy who didn't want to share.
Green on the other hand was a little more paranoid. The way he saw it, telling the others would be a nuisance, a waste of time. Some people would be happy, yes, but some might not have a very good reaction, and that bothered him. It was something he'd rather not deal with.
So here Red was, sitting next to Green at a dexholders gathering that Blue had planned at the Berlitz mansion, unable to hold or kiss his love.
Don't get him wrong, the gathering was fun. He got to talk to all of the younger dexholders and it was nice, but he also had an underlying urge to wrap his arm around the man next to him as well. Which he knew the male would not approve of.
Currently Blue was proposing a toast, a couple new dexholders were joining the group, Black and White. They came from Unova, and from what they had said, they were having a rough time over there as well. They were a little late joining the group because of Black's dissappearance, but apparently after everything died down, they finally got a bit of piece.

"Cheers for our new duo!" Blue raised her wine glass, the older dexholders like herself, the rest of the Kanto crew, and the Johto and Hoenn groups. The rest of them had grape juice just as a glorified measure.
Everyone raised their glass and took a swig, including Red himself. The dexholders began to chat and mingle amongst one another, Red himself turned to Green.
"Hey, the groups starting to get a little crowded, huh?" Red chuckled as the Hoenn and Sinnoh trios gathered around the two newbies. Both of them looked a little overwhelmed.
"You can say that again, I remember when Gold's group first joined. I feel like an old man." he said taking another drink.
"Things were hectic back then. I'm glad things have quieted down, it's refreshing." Red sighed, he took the chance while people were busy chatting to slide his hand over Green's, squeezing the brunettes hand in his own.
Green turned his head away, but Red caught his pink face out of the corner of his eye and he smirked. He rubbed his thumb over the back of Green's hand, who continued to look away as if nothing was happening.
Without warning, Green jerked his hand away, and Red was about to question him when he heard a voice behind him.
"Hello? Are you Red?" Red stood up, shooting a regretful glace at Green who just scoffed. A much shorter male stood before him, Red recognized him as Black, one of the new dexholders. His dialect was a little weird, but from what Red understood, he was from the faraway Unova, so a bit of an accent was expected.
"Yes, and you must be Black!" Red stuck a hand out and shook the younger boys hand.
"Whoa! You like a legend! I can't believe I get to be a dexholder like you! Being champion was one of my biggest dreams." He smiled and Red laughed bashfully.
"How about some time later we have a quick sparring match? Liven things up y'know?" Red suggested, Black's eyes beginning to sparkle.
"Thanks lookin' forward to it!" Black jumped giddily, running off towards White, probably to tell her about the match later.
Red turned back to Green after waving the smaller boy off. Just looking at Green was making a warm feeling well up in Red's chest. It had been really hard trying to hold all of this in, but he certainly didn't want to worry Green.

Yes, he teased him, but he didn't want to hurt him.
He leaned over the brunette's chair and tapped him on the shoulder, "Can we talk a sec, outside?" Red tugged on the edge of the man's tee a little. Green shot him a hesitant glance, then sighed and stood up, accompanying the man to a balcony. There were lots to be honest, but what else did you expect from the Berlitz Mansion?
"What do you want?" Green asked, his hands in his pockets. He looked a little on edge. It was understandable though, he had a lot of apprehension about their current status.
Red slid his hand into Green's and pulled him past the door, so that they were out of sight. He leaned his forehead against Green's.
"Hey, I'll stop if you want me to. I love you, you know that. If you're uncomfortable I'll stop." Red explained, as much as he loved teasing, contrary to popular belief, he knew when enough was enough.
Green shifted his gaze away from Red's and then back again. His cheeks turning a shade of pink. He tried his best to avoid the champion's crimson eyes, but to no avail. Shakily he leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss on the man's lips, to which Red gladly accepted with a smile.
"Sorry, I'm usually pretty certain about things, but I don't know how to feel about all of this." Green grumbled.
"So is that a 'yes you want me to stop' or...?" Red slowly slid his hands around Green's waist. To be completely honest, Red had been completely dense when Green had first showed any hints of his feelings, but here he was, flawlessly manipulating the brunette.
Red smirked when he saw the pink on his cheeks flush a shade darker. He really did enjoy this. For someone who was usually so stoic and blank faced, he was glad he could elicit some emotion out of him. Especially like this.
Green shook his head and Red kissed his cheek, "So you're okay with this? To be honest I've wanted to do that the entire toast." Red chuckled and Green punched him in the arm.
"We can tell them if you want. There's no sense in me brooding over it forever I guess." Green murmured.
"Are you sure?" Red took on a serious tone, he wanted to let Green know that he was here for him.
"Yeah, let's go. I need to get this over with anyway. It'll be easier that way too." he grabbed Red by the hand and pulled him into the mansion. Red trying to catch up behind him.
The party was at a lull anyway, there were groups hanging out chatting amongst themselves, a few people looking around at all the aesthetics of the home. What happened next, Red couldn't have prepared for.
Green stood in front of everyone, "Listen up!" Green shouted, and everyone's attention fell on him.
"What're you doing?!" Red whisper-yelled at him, but Green didn't take any notice.
"Red and I are... are dating. So deal with it!" he stuttered, his face growing hot. Red couldn't conceal his laughter and a couple giggles escaped. The jade eyed male sent a glare his direction.
The other dexholders began to shout and some cheered around them. Blue sighed and slid a dollar across the table to Platina, then mumbled something like, "Is this why you're rich?"
Ruby was going on about how Red and Green were complimentary colors on the color palette and how beautiful their colors would be together, and all that fashion stuff he usually rambled about.
Crystal clapped quietly while Gold groaned next to her about how someone as clueless as Red started dating before he did.
Silver was annoyed, he didn't deal with sappy stuff like this. He'd rather deal with other things, Dia was busy eating and Pearl was with him trying to get him to lay off a little.
Overall the reaction wasn't inherently bad, and Red could see Green lighten up a little.
Red stepped forward and wrapped his hands around Green's waist again, "That means that this is fine, right?" he smirked and felt the brunette tense under him.
"Whoa, there, hey!" Green said trying to squirm out of his grasp. Red just laughed boisterously, he really did love this. He loved him too.
"Hey, if you two keep on with this sappy shit I'm gonna barf." Silver scoffed from the back, Crystal shot him a glare and he shut up. The dexholders laughed.
Red could get used to this.
