"Mike's fine. He's with Diego but we need you."
"I'm on my way."
I hang up without waiting for his response.
"We need to go," I tell Christian.
"What happened, baby?" Christian looks at me with concern.
"There was an attack at the University at their party and I am needed at the hospital." I rush out.
"Everything's okay?"
"I don't know.. I am freaking out, I've never been in this situation before." My eyes widen. "What if something goes wrong?"
Christian pulls me towards him as he watches the headlines on the now on T.V.
He looks me in the eyes. "Nothing will wrong. I believe in you. Everyone does and will." He hugs me tight.
I nod in his chest. We pay the bill in a hurry and in no time we are off.
We make it to the hospital and there are ambulances everywhere. People rushing into the hospital to their children and loved ones.
"Holy..." Christian whispers.
We both run out of the car after parking. I run fast as I can in these heels.
I enter the ER. Stretches going in and out with badly injured students. They are so young.
"Dr. Forbes, you are needed in section 3. The patients are critical. There is no doctor available there and we are not supposed to do anything big without doctors." Nurse Lilly says to me giving me the gloves and coat.
"Okay. What exactly happened?" I ask whilst going towards section 3.
"Bombing, firing, tear gas. Everything, you name it. The police are saying it was the work of some big Mafia." She explains.

I'm speechless so I just nod. Christian comes and holds my hand and squeezing my hand.
We make it to the section. I spot Diego immediately. It looks like he was waiting for me, he turns around and elopes me into a bear hug.
"About time you came." He says once he releases me in a sec.
"Yeah. Please do me a favour, Diego and bring some comfortable clothes for me." I rush out and enter the room.
There are bloodied people lying there.
There are three nurses present here I look at all of them and order. They all listen to my instructions carefully and begin to do what I tell them to.
We stitch them up. Give them some pain killers. And attach blood bags or IVs to them.
I go to the last patient. He looks like he is 18 at most. Probably a freshman. There are gashes all around him. He has a broken arm. I can clearly tell.
I rip open his shirt and begin to clean him up. He needs a lot of stitches and his breathing is faint. I put and an oxygen mask on him and begin to stitch him up carefully.
The nurses come and plaster his arm with me and he is all done. I remove my gloves and wash my hands.
I go out of the room to see a really proud Christian standing. Guess he saw all of that.
When I go out Christian gently helps me remove the bloodied coat off of me.
"That's my girl. I'm so so proud of you." He while cupping my face and pecks me.
"I'm so glad they are okay." I murmur.
"Yeah, me too." He replies.
I hug him tight, breathing in his scent. I love the way he smells. I hate that he has to leaves.

Christian pulls back a little so that he can kiss me. I close my eyes and wait for his soft lips to touch mine.
A throat getting cleared interrupts us. We both immediately jerk our heads back but are still holding onto one another.
There stands Diego holding a bag, and glaring daggers at... Christian?
"Tori, I got your clothes," Diego says eyeing me and Christian, making me uncomfortable.
"Thank you." I grab the bag.
I turn to Christian, giving him my puppy eyes. "Could you grab me some McDonald's? All this has made me hungry."
He chuckles and pecks my forehead. "Anything for you, baby."
He turns around towards the exit. I feel Diego staring at me so I turn around.
"What?"
He shakes his head. "Nothing."
"Ohhk. Thanks for the clothes D."
I go to the staff restroom and change my clothes.
He brought me a pair of shorts that belong to me already. I think I left them there once. And Diego's shirt from his college days. It says his name on the back with his number 68.
Well at least it's not 69.
The pair of shoes he brought, are probably his mother's. They are a cute pair of pointy lace-up black flats.
I pull my hair in a high ponytail and the next I know I am standing helping Unle smith in the surgery of a 19-year-old, Ryder.
Those cruel people targeted children.
"You have to rest and don't put pressure on anything. You will be good in no time sweetheart."
"How's my brother?" The girl asks with tears in her eyes.
"Brother?" I furrow my eyebrows.
"Ryder. He was put into surgery but I don't know anything about him yet. My dad isn't back here to update me yet."
"Oh. I was there when he was operated. He's totally fine. The surgery was successful." I smile that her.
"Thank you so much for doing this." She cries.
"Don't thank me. This is what I do. I'm so glad I could help you." I squeeze her hand.
I wash my hands and I am greeted with the sight of Christian standing adorably with my McDonald bag.
I jump and hug him tight.
"Thank you. You are the best I am starved." I dig in the bag moaning at the taste of it.
Christian chuckles at me and I shove a chicken nugget in his mouth to shut him up.
He gets the hint and stops disturbing me. I also feed him while eating myself because he has been here for so long and we couldn't complete our dinner.
I am about to put a fry full of ketchup into my mouth but Christian's hand stops it by holding my wrist and tugging it towards himself.
He easts the fry playfully but then his eyes fell on fingers with ketchup on them.
He brings them to his mouth, gently sucking it off but my finger stays in his mouth for longer than intended.
He is about to do that to me but suddenly he has yanked away from me on the ground a punch is delivered on his face making me scream.

Cheaters Always Win
Chester Everheart knew that life wasn't fair. Some were born in situations where it was almost impossible to succeed, whereas others were born with a silver spoon with everything at their disposal. A scant few were dropped into another world, filled with monsters and magic and forced to fend for themselves. The latter was a rare, somewhat ridiculous trope; but it happened to him anyway. Despite this he followed a motto that applied regardless of the dimension he was in. Playing fair is for suckers, and cheaters always win. Cheaters Always Win is a comedy-adventure that I've had churning in my head for a couple years now. I'd like to think it still has the charm that most LitRPGs have while also being unique in its own way. Every arc of the story will subsequently have a 'Level Complete' chapter that details all the stats, levels, equipment, etc. gained by the main cast of characters.
