His vice rings through my ears.
"What happened?"
"She up and she's going crazy." What? "She's having a full blown maniac attack. She's screaming and calling for you and not letting anyone near her, and she is not letting the doctors give her any sedatives. Come quick!"
My heart beats loudly in my chest. She's up. "I'm.. I'm coming."
Amara and Francis are looking anxiously at me.
"It's Victoria. She's up." I run to the door. "Amara you can go with Francis."
I start the McLaren and race out of the house onto the streets of Rome. It's eleven thirty at night. I drive thirty miles up the speed limit not giving a damn about anyone.
What feels like hours I'm outside the hospital barging in. The staff there double takes me before recognizing who I am. I ignore all of and jump into the elevator pressing the top floor button. When I finally reach there I see mom sitting outside the room crying in Dad's arms but Rico is no where to be seen.
My dad's eyes set on me. From where I am standing I can hear screams. Victoria's screams. She's calling for me. She's crying. She's screaming her lungs out. My feet move on their own.
I don't know where my mind's at.
I barge in to see my Victoria curled in a ball in the corner of the bed screaming. Yelling for me. Calling for me. Rico is trying to calm her down with no success.
She is tugging her hair so hard, "Christian!" She sobs in her hand. "Please, I want Christian."
My voice comes out but it's nothing more than a broken whisper. "Victoria..."

My voice somehow reaches her. Her cries stop, "Christian?"
The doctors and Rico back off as I step forward towards her tentatively, "I'm here baby."
She reaches out to me once I'm close enough and engulfs me in a bone crushing hug breathing harshly in my neck. I sit on the bed pulling her on my lap.
She's okay.
She up.
She's safe. Thank God.
"Christian..." She starts to sob in my chest.
"I'm here. Hush now. You're fine." I cradle her to me just like a small child.
She takes her head off my chest but fists my shirt in her hand. "He said- he said he killed you. I thought you--" her sobs get louder.
"No, no, my precious." I cup her cheeks and huge her chase kiss in her lips. "I'm fine. I'm just fine."
She breathes deeply, her eyes drooping. She goes a little limp in my arms. "Everything hurts."
I pull her to my chest. "You'll be fine. I promise." I nod to the doctor who is ready with a syringe in his hand. "Just relax my love. Relax."
The doctor injects her. "Please don't leave me," she mumbles. "Please."
"I won't. Get some sleep I will be right here." I rub her leg and kiss her head. "I'll be here when you wake up."
She cuddles up in my chest and finally closes her eyes. I stay with her in this position but put her back gently on the bed once the doctor instructs me too so they can treat her.
I'm asked to leave the room for a while so they can put the wires and the drips back on her that she ripped when she woke up.
I walk out with Rico and lean against the wall.

Our lives are a roller coaster.
"How's she?" Mom asks.
"She's fine. They gave her some sedatives. She's sleeping." Rico replies back.
Mom closes her eyes in relief.
"What happened?" I ask the three of them.
Rico replies, "Her heartbeat suddenly went back to normal and she was breathing on her own. They removed her from the ventilator. They were just about to check her vitals and other things when she opened her eyes."
He continues, "She was very confused when she woke up but started panicking when she realized she was in a hospital. She called out for you and was saying 'don't kill him' again and again then again started screaming. She wouldn't let anyone come near her." He takes a deep breath, "You know the rest."
I scoff at that. I know the rest, alright.
"By the way I like the new style." Rico smirks. "You look hot and fuckable."
Besides the situation a laugh breaks through.
"Language," mom warns him making dad chuckle.
Rico pouts at her then turns back at me, "I bet Victoria bought that for you." He winks at me, "You have no taste."
"Yeah, she got it for me." I take a seat, "And I do have a taste buddy. Did you take a look at the woman inside?" I point at Victoria's room.
"You got that right."
Francis and Amara exit the elevator.
Amara sits next to mom holding her hand but looking at me, "What happened?"
"She got up. Had a panic attack." I tell them. "She's sleeping now."
"She's okay now?"
"We don't know, dear." Mom replies.
"But we will know soon enough." Dad speaks then give me reassuring smile.
I'm beginning to build a relationship with my father. All thanks to Victoria.
We wait for the doctor and he finally comes out with a smile on his face, "We believe she is fine. She just needs some rest and she will be back to normal. You can go see her if you wish but press the bell button if anything is wrong."
The tension and frustration that was pent up in my body suddenly goes away.
Amara and mom start their water works again, hugging their significant others. Rico and I look at each other at the same time and laugh. He opens his arms for me and I stand up pulling my best mate in a hug.
He gives me a pay in the back and releases me. I open the door and go inside to see her peacefully lying without any pipes down her throat. She looks better. Way better than she was brought in. I lean forward and kiss her forehead, cheeks, nose then finally her lips.
A smile makes its way on my face after kissing her beautiful lips. I've been aching to do that from what feels like a really long time.
There is a knock on the door. One by one everyone comes in to see her. Amara and mom start crying again when they see her. Apparently they are happy tears.
Dad is the last one to come. He kisses Victoria's forehead before leaving. She won everyone's heart.
But she owns mine.
I intertwine my hand with her and rest my head on the bed closing my eyes.
She's fine and she's with me.
I finally fall into a deep slumber very well much aware if the fact the she's okay.

Silhouette
WARNING: THIS STORY HAS A SLOW START. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. We all grew up hearing stories about heroes and villains, but what would we do if we were to be part of one? One night, a bioweapon escaped from its laboratory in Zalcien, only to die in a dark alley. One night, a young man lent a helping hand, only to die alone in the dark. One night, a deity of death saw two lost souls and offered one a second chance in the other's body. Now a strange creature made of darkness, James has to deal with his new form in a strange new world where superpowers, heroes and villains are commonplace, far away from his home. Watch as he learns how to use his powers, as he meets allies and enemies and how, when facing the paths of heroism and villainy, he chooses a third way somewhere in between. Follow the story of James, a lost Earthling soul, as he becomes Silhouette, the mysterious power in the shadows. Greetings fellow humans. This is my first story on Royal Road and my first long-term project written in English, so I do hope you will have some mercy in your heart when reading. So, as you may have understood, this is a story with super-heroes - which is quite ironic for my first story considering all of the other ones planned are fantasy - and as such will take place in a modern-like setting. Despite dark themes and gory scenes making their way into the story, it is still a super-hero world with the logic that matches, so expect characters to survive nuclear explosions without a scratch and yet to get defeated by a rubber ducky - as well as similar dark humor, thus the comedy part.

The Fiasco
When you’ve seen as many catastrophes as I have, “disaster” becomes a relative term. Us perpetual kidnap victims get to hang our heads while waiting for the tights-wearing crowd to arrive. Sit back, grab your drink or drug of choice, and follow along as I hit some of the highlights. We'll start with Ted, a reporter with a scheme of petty revenge. We'll meet Alice, a psychopath with personality problems whose out to make babies or disembowel me. I'm never sure. We'll watch me fail at being a glorified field trip supervisor for a powered collage. There's a whole host of other heroes and villains along the way. A Fate Shaped by Magick
This fiction was (and is) published on fanfiction dot net under the same title; though as I slowly transfer it to here, I am editing and smoothing it. This story takes place in the Elder Scrolls (TES) Universe mostly ending up in Morrowind. This is a slice of life meant to answer the questions of how (in the TES universe) do mages study and learn, and exploring some of the in-game differences between TES 2 and 3. This book has minimal spoilers for the Morrowind main quest and does not fully explore it. If you think that giant insects would make cool pets - if you like the idea of exploring magic NOT intended simply as killing something better, faster or more gore-ridden, then come on in and enjoy.
