《Serendipity | YKH》F O R T Y - S I X

Mrs. and Mr. Yoo decided to have a vacation since Kihyun is the one who's handling their business. Kihyun was now living here to look after us since his parents are not around.
Since the day Kihyun confirmed the article about us many people keep on messaging me on my social media account, saying harsh words or bashing me. “Why did Kihyun like her?” “I guessed she just got pregnant and Kihyun had no choice but to marry her” “She looks like a gold digger” “She just wanted to get the Yoo's wealth” and mostly the most scariest I've received “I bet I can see Kihyun cry if I kill you”
It was the middle of the night when I were woken up by the cries of my son, Jihoon. As I opened my eyes and looked at the time, I noticed it was already 3AM and the empty spot next to me indicated Kihyun still hadn’t come home.
Since he confirmed that article I decided to given Kihyun another chance cause I want Jihoon to grow up with a complete family. He was so loving and caring these past days but since he's a CEO his line of work bothered me a lot with him being in constant danger and sometimes not even seeing him for multiple days at a time. It’s what he was best at and I knew he would always return to his family.
Speaking of which, I heard footsteps in the room next door and the crying had stopped for just a second.
I thought to myself as I got out of bed to surprise him.
As I were standing in front of the door to our bedroom, I suddenly heard multiple voices coming next door.
I had never heard these voices before and the way they spoke about me indicated I were in big trouble, so I instinctively ran towards Kihyun’s bedside table, knowing he would have something to protect me in there.

As I were opening the drawer, I heard footsteps coming closer to our room and stopping in front of the wooden door. I were rummaging through the nightstand for a couple of seconds when I finally found a butterfly knife and as I turned around, a tall, unfamiliar man stood in front of me.
The dark haired man had a diabolic smirk engrained on his elongated face.
Before I could flip the knife open, he grabbed my wrist and twisted my arm behind my back and with his painful grip, caused me to drop the weapon onto the ground.
I struggled and tried to wiggle my way out, but without any luck as he stood his ground. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t escape him and eventually gave in to my fate when suddenly Jihoon’s cries pulled me back into reality and I motherly instincts kicked in, causing me to kick the man against the shin.
he screamed as I ran towards the door and when I opened it, another stranger was already waiting on the other side, a wide grin spread across his face.
The first attacker stood behind me in no time and twisted my arms behind my back again as he shoved me out of the room and, alongside the other man, into the nursery, where another man was standing in front of the crib, holding my baby boy in his arms.
The second man snarled.
rage filled my entire presence at the sight of a strange man holding my son.
The man holding Jihoon ordered and I could tell he was the leader of the bunch.
The other guy took a knife out of his pocket and walked towards me. In a swift motion he had left a large cut along my upper right arm and red liquid started pouring out of it immediately after. The burning pain in my arm increased as he ran his finger across the wound and started writing something on the white walls of Jihoon’s room.

When he was done, he stepped back and took a long close look at his creation before he looked over to me with an evil grin spread across his face.
The last thing I saw was in your blood, before I got knocked out by a mix between the loss of my vital fluids and a quick hit against my throat.
The boys suddenly call for a night out and I forgot to tell Jin Hee about. It was already past midnight when they decided to get home already.
I waved one last goodbye without looking back.
The drive home was relaxing as I blasted R&B through my speakers and rested my arm on the rolled down window as I mouthed the lyrics along the music.
About an hour and a quick stop at a fast food chain later, I had arrived at my driveway safely and the desire to see my family got unbearable as I hurriedly made my way towards the front door.
I were about to insert my key into the lock when I noticed odd scratch marks on one side of the door. There was a heavy feeling in the pit of my stomach when I slowly opened the door.
As I looked around the house, I saw no signs of a robbery and for a second I felt myself calm down a bit and thinking my mind was just messing with me. I quietly walked up the stairs and as I were about to pass my son’s room, I noticed the door being left wide open.
The heavy feeling returned as I looked inside, immediately noticing red letters smeared across the walls.
I screamed from the top of mu lungs, but received no answer. I hurriedly ran towards our bedroom only to find it empty and the drawer of mu nightstand left wide open.

Mycology
Declan was but a teenager when he was invited to Gaia. It wasn't some popular VRMMO like the ones his friend keeps recommending, nor was it a 'game' in the traditional sense. Gaia was the stopgap to Indiri, a living breathing world, the final creation of a dead genius. Invited to this world by Eve, the overseer and an AI light-years greater than any that came before her, Declan was given a choice. To join or not to join? Well, why the hell not? Hello, this is a pretty basic VR story which I started writing out of boredom, don't expect anything too great here, it's a somewhat unique setting but with mostly slice of life comedy shenanigans with no real 'plot' since I can't reliably include stakes in a world where respawning is a thing. I'll try to upload at least once every other week but real life stuff may get in the way occasionally. **WARNING** Protagonist comes with an inbuilt wizard hat. Also, any mentions of chapter titles shall be met with falling rocks TPK. **ACTUAL WARNING** Story may or may not read like the fever dream of an eclectic sasquatch with internet connection. Do be warned, that this story has extremely slow pacing by design. Join the Discord!! https://discord.gg/p2gxqs4 Laugh at my empty Patreon!!

Content Warning: This will depict substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, and will likely become an ongoing list of content advisories.
