y/n was looking at the beautiful sunset, the setting sun reflecting onto the calm ocean. she looked down and saw the footprints her and hoseok made while walking down to the shore.
"now i know the reason why you picked me up so late." she said, looking back at the sun in awe.
"i remember you told me earlier that you wished you wanted to see a sunset on the beach. call me a genie because i just granted your wish."
"as you should." she smirked, glancing behind to look at him. he looked a little offended, which made her hug him. "i'm just joking! this is so wonderful, thank you so much."
he pulled her closer to him and kissed her forehead. she felt embarrassed and buried her face into his chest.
after a few minutes passed, the sun finally disappeared, leaving a green flash behind. he let go of the embrace and grabbed her hand.
"since the sun finished setting, care to walk for a while?" he asked. she immediately nodded and tightened her grip on his hand.
the couple walked together on the shoreline, the chilly wind blowing.
"so, what lie did you tell your dad?" he started up a conversation.
"i told him that i was going out with a few friends for dinner to celebrate all of us getting good grades on a japanese test."
"literally?"
"literally."
"that's the best lie i've ever heard. it sounds so believable it makes me mad for some reason."
"oh, stop it. you think this is my first time lying?"
"my sneaky y/n. what else do you have up your sleeve?"
"that? you don't have to know."
"what? that sounds so wrong."
"please, if you think i would lie about cheating on you or anything, you obviously have your head stuck in your butt. who there, in this school, is better than you?"

"stop it. you are going to make me blush."
"kiss me if i'm wrong, but you are a boy almost every girl likes. plus you're buff, which is like another point added on. and you're sweet, which-"
he wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her forehead. she immediately stopped talking, shocked but confused about why he did that. "why did you just kiss me?"
"you said 'kiss me if i'm wrong'. i kissed you because you were wrong."
"is that so?"
"yes. i'm well aware that a lot of girls like me, but i don't consider that as 'liking'. honestly, that's irrelevant to me, and the only thing that is relevant to 'liking' is that you like me."
"you made my brain hurt from trying to understand. liking isn't the same thing as loving, though?"
"it isn't, which is why you are relevant compared to other girls."
"you don't make sense at all, but i'll just pretend that you're einstein."
"and that's when my smart girlfriend comes in handy."
she looked at him, who looked back at her. they both smiled and laughed."so, how long are we gonna walk?"
"why? walking is good for you. research says walking burns at least ninety calories from walking half an hour."
"oh? that doesn't seem much, though."
"ninety to about two hundred. i remember this because we had a test on this for gym."
"okay, but you didn't answer my question."
"i was looking online of good places to eat at nearby, and i found a restaurant that is actually close to here."
"is that it?" she pointed to a building that had lights coming out of the windows. he compared the structure to the image that he remembered from his phone.
"yes. yes, that is."
"then what are you waiting for, i'm starving, let's go!" y/n grabbed hoseok's wrist and started running to the restaurant.

This book is COMPLETELY FINISHED as of 3/10/22, with a sequel currently serializing HERE. Born a fire mage, destined for something greater. But unrest is brewing under the surface of Sombria, and the Council's tenuous hold may be on the verge of collapsing. All Alara ever wanted was to become a soldier, fighting to protect Sombria from the bruya rebels that threaten its borders with their chaotic magic and lawlessness. In order to succeed, she must first conquer her worst fear--her own innate magical abilities. When her abilities are revealed, she finds herself at the center of a world she grew up despising, where magic is suppressed under the illusion of control. And her only means of escape may lie in trusting those she grew up doubting most. When Alara is given one final chance to prove she's worthy of being called a Mage of Sombria, the key to her success may lie within the untrusting Quenti. Spirits of Eternity(A cultivation story based on spirits)
There are many after Liv, for what she can do. Spirits flock to her and help her, while the rest of the world captures them and uses their power with abandon. Liv set forth to find the truth behind her parents’ death, after their final message. After hearing their voice, Liv was offered a decision. Live safely, or be the best. Just like someone from the past, Liv decided to step towards strength. The magic system in this world is based on a few types of energy: Note(for Songs), Will(for Thought), Mana(for ordinary magic, because I felt like it), what is referred to as 'energy' here(for talking to spirits), and Dominion(for Aura). This is still a work in progress. Any suggestions are welcomed. This and my other work, Monsters as Men, are set in the same world. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
