"y/n!" y/n looked around and saw hoseok standing by the entrance of the freshman building. she quickly walked towards him, trying not to blend in with the other students walking off campus after school.
"what are you doing here?" she asked him.
"i wanna say bye to the others once more. i can't miss out on them, especially minhyuk!"
just then, she felt her phone buzz. she pulled her phone out of her pocket and saw a message from her friend.
hurry up! we're waiting in senior's boys' bathroom
"they're so stupid." she mumbled under her breath, sighing.
"hmm? what happened?" he asked. she looked up at him and laughed nervously.
"is it weird if you can take me to the senior's boys' bathroom? i promise it's not in a weird way."
"that does sound weird. follow me."
he quickly led her to the location while she was texting jooheon.
: are you stupid? i can't go into the boys' bathroom!
: trust me, there's no one in here
: i'm not going inside.
: i'll be outside, and i brought a guest along as well
: who?
"here we are." hoseok announced, stopping his steps. "now, why are we here?"
"they're waiting in here. sounds stupid, am i right?"
jooheon's head popped out and saw the two. his eyes widened when he saw hoseok.
"hyung! long time no see!" jooheon told him, giving him a handshake.
hoseok smiled. "yeah, i heard today was your last day. i just wanted to drop by and say my goodbyes."
"guys, she's here!" jooheon yelled into the bathroom. four boys quickly walked out, and they had the same reaction as him when they saw hoseok.
"ahh, shin hoseok." shownu said, walking in front of his group. "saying goodbye, again?"

"yeah, doesn't hurt to say it one more time."
"why don't we all go to a coffee shop or something?" y/n suggested.
"y/n, you know we can't do that." changkyun whined.
"just once. one time won't be bad!"
"i'm down, and i'll pay for all of you." hoseok agreed, liking the idea.
"i swear y/n if we get mobbed, it's all your fault." jooheon said.
"pfft, trust me. it'll be alright."
kihyun, on the other hand, didn't really like the idea. the idea of hanging out with y/n's ex-boyfriend didn't fit right with him at all. as long as the others are happy, i guess i am. he thought to himself, shaking his head.
walking off of the campus, hoseok suggested driving them all in his car. the others agreed, y/n sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle while the others squeezed in the back.
"doesn't this bring back memories?" she asked hoseok, looking at him.
"o-oh? you still remember, huh?"
"of course; the movies and the sunset. those were the best."
"i still feel guilty about everything. i'm sorry-"
"so, what are you all planning on ordering?" kihyun interrupted, changing the subject. the two in the front talking about old memories somehow made him feel jealous, and he couldn't stand it anymore.
"the usual, americano." y/n replied. she took a glance at kihyun and wondered why he asked such a random question out of the blue.
"hmm, still haven't decided yet. i'll probably see what i'll get when we go there." hoseok answered.
the seven of them arrived at the coffee shop, which wasn't busy like always. y/n decided to sit down to reserve seats for all of her friends. kihyun also followed her, sitting next to her.
"so, what was that in the car?" he asked her, jealousy slowly exploding out.
"nothing? i was talking to him. why?"
"i hate to tell you this, but you were making me jealous in there."
"is that why you asked that question out of nowhere?"
"yes."
"sorry for doing that, i didn't mean to annoy you."
"don't do something like that again. please?"
"yeah yeah, i won't."

Blood Quest - A LitRPG
Leon's family has been diagnosed with a new type of incurable blood disease. It's an absolute death sentence and when it turns aggressive, you only have a few more years of painful life left to live. His mother has just begun the last years of the disease when a person supposedly comes back from death with supernatural abilities. He talks about a choice you get after death--get an extra chance to come back to life, or die. Even with Leon's diminishing life span, he won't consider the option of going there, until he meets another survivor who had the same goal as him and succeeded. Leon has a choice to make—die now for a chance to save his mother, or die in a few years, where the disease rapidly melts his muscles from his own body. He enters a game-like world, a sort of limbo, where his ultimate goal is to climb the tower of Katastroph before his mother's time runs out. There are a few problems with this though. The tower is almost impossible to beat, if you die you won't revive, and only three people in over twenty years have actually made it back. Leon has two years to climb the tower, with the help of the few people willing to try, while Ai, the tutorial guide, makes things harder for them. ***** The story starts pretty dark but goes onto a lighter tone. Then (more) dark again. Disclaimer: This story is an experimental project and I hope to get any and all feedback you can give me. Warning: First draft. Chapters tend to be between 3400-4100 words long (about 8-11 A4-pages). Mentioning it since I've seen it in other fictions :P Sometimes they're shorter, sometimes they're longer. ******************************** CHAPTER RELEASES UPDATE: As the first "book" in the series is done, I'm going to release coming chapters somewhat sporadically, and when Writathon ends, I'll probably go back to publishing one chapter per weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! I hope you enjoy the story! I really appreciate all comments and feedback, so if you have anything to say, feel free to voice it :) ************ [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

But either dumb luck or fate won't leave him alone. With the power of a game system and magic, he's determined to find out the reason he was picked, and what makes him special. Along the way, hopefully meeting new friends and learning some magic here and there. (Synopsis) Domhain - a world split between five nations and five unique magical gifts; home of elves, dwarves, goblins, trolls, and humans, each of them so different but in reality more alike than anyone would like to acknowledge. Twenty years ago, the humans, weakest of the five, secretly acquired powerful magic and set out for war. The united forces of the other nations stood no chance. Humanity prevailed, proving itself as the new leader of the modern world. Now, Domhain is at peace but tensions are rising again. The humans want more than their territory back. They want it all. And they want revenge. But this time, the elves hide a dark power, and will stop at nothing to wipe the humans off Domhain forever. War is inevitable. Thousands will die. And the power to stop it all falls into the hands of none other than a particularly tall fifteen-year-old elf orphan. Ever since he could remember, Ardan lived a normal, sheltered, life in an elven orphanage. On the day he's finally able to leave for good and start his independent life, something strange occurs. He is given a pill, a gift, that turns his life into a game with levels, quests, dungeons, and a... talking weapon? All of which are capable of transforming his body and the world around him. As if that weren’t enough, Ardan learns the orphanage has hidden natural magic from him, and the whole world is intertwined with it. More importantly, he, as an elf, has a particularly unique and powerful heritage. That heritage, along with the benefits of his new power makes him a target for the greed of many... With nothing but his friends and a incredibly smart sister, he is determined to find out what makes him so special. Who can he trust? Fallen
Hundreds of years ago, the servant god Elsyn declared that they would destroy humanity entirely, explaining it as their duty as humanity’s peacekeeper. When the gods saw it fit to send someone to oppose the fallen servant, Iztris—the gods’ own servant and follower—visits Cheryn. Iztris requests the aid of Alyson and Jacob, the oldest two heirs of Cheryn and the only ones given the gods’ offer of the ‘assurance of victory,’ and the heirs agree. There will come a time when humanity does fall—but none of them would allow that to happen by the hands of a being just as flawed as mortals. I recommend reading the story by volume, instead of by the order the chapters were posted. This story was beta read by Mad Sadie. Many thanks! Please note that some characters use different pronouns depending on the chapter’s view and the speaker. Iztris, for example, is referred to with neutral pronouns by Elsyn (in most cases) and themself, and after being introduced as such they are referred to with male pronouns by Alyson and Jacob.
