After gulping the last of the hot cocoa, she lowered the mug and smile.

"Thank you very much for your help. And, I truly apologize for the inconvenience and rude comment that I blurt out just now. Especially the fact that this is the first time we met senpai,"

She just looks at them both with a very calm face. Subaru reply,

"It's alright."

"Thank you again. Umm, if there's nothing else, if you don't mind, I would like to leave first..."

She was ready to leave but immediately stop after she heard Sakurako's comment.

"Do you know about ESP and his secrets?"

"Pardon?" I replied, outwardly looked confused, but I can already feel my heart drop.

"We were just wondering why you hide your true Alice, so we assume that you know something is up"

Not trusting my voice not to betray me, I just smile and tilted my head, as if I'm confused. But my eyes secretly darted around the room to look for any available exit if things take into a bad turn.

"I know you don't trust us, but believe me that both of us are on the same side."

I know we both are on the same side, but I'm not ready to let myself dragged into this.

"I'm so sorry senpai. But I'm not sure what are you saying? Plus, assuming what you say is true, on what evidence should I trust you?" - Amy reply.

"The fact that we don't rat you out when you cast barrier Alice while treating that friend of yours the other day surely good enough, right?"

Ah, shoot. Did they saw me? - I can already felt my palm sweating.

Amy immediately jumps out of the couch and ran straight to the door. She was fast. No doubt. But she forgot one crucial thing.

He immediately teleports in front of Amy, preventing her from getting through the door. Shocked, she immediately walked back only to have Subaru hold her shoulder firmly. Getting frustrated, with a strained face, she demands,

"What do you want?!"

"We just want to have a talk with you. And, based on that, we wish to offer you cooperation."

"Huh! Cooperation? Like this?" - she scoffed.

Realizing they won't go anywhere like this, Sakurako held his hand up, as if surrendering and say,

"I know what we did really does not matched our action, but please listen first."

Yanking her shoulder from Subaru's grip, she just scowled. No longer put up her perfect lady persona, and realized that they already onto her tail anyway, she replied,

"Fine. I will listen. But, I have the right to remain silent."

"Sure... now let's take a seat first, ok?"
