"Amy-nee, I'm done! Let's go!" Said Sophie as she greeted Amy in the hallway. She was fixing Yoichi's ribbon while waiting for Sophie. Once done, they all head towards the Academy Central- where the last night of Alice Festival was held.
"It's always the same every year right Amy-nee?" Sophie said as she twirls her dress a bit. Amy nodded and replied,
"Yup. The elementary students as always- Angel themed. But it's cute so its fine~" Sophie nodded- agreeing with Amy. Though, she prefers for it to have a purple colour instead of the always pale pink. As Sophie imagining herself with a purple coloured dress, when Amy suddenly added,
"Say, Sophie. How about you take the last dance this year with Ruka instead?"
Sophie immediately faced Amy- shocked at Amy's suggestion. Looking at Sophie's reaction, Amy quickly added,
"It's fine if you don't want to. But, you know, this is one of your chances to get closer with your crush, ya know"
"W-wha-what? Crush? Who? mE? N-No, I definitely did not have any kind of crush towards him" she immediately retorts- though Amy noticed her ears reddened the more she tried to explained herself.
"Haha, don't worry~ it's just a suggestion" she patted Sophie's back. Sophie then stopped herself from saying anything further. Instead, she asked Amy,
"...How about you then, Amy-nee?"
"Me? Why? I don't have anyone of interest though?" Amy replied. She really confused with Sophie's suggestions- while quickly going through list of people she has been in contact with. Is there anyone she interested with?
At her sister reply, Sophie can only be deadpanned at it.
'Amy-nee is quite sharp. But dense when it comes to herself, huh' Sophie just shake her head, while searching for their brother and their youngest sister.
"Ah! There he is Amy-nee. Yusaku! Mirai! Over here!" Sophie immediately shouted at a pair who was walking not far from then. At her shout, the boy turned his face sideways and recognizing Sophie.
"Oh! Sophie-nee. Amy-nee and Yoichi are already here too" Then, he immediately walked towards them while holding Mirai's hand to make sure she will not be lost.
Once gathered, Amy smile,
"It seems that everyone is here then~ And Yusaku, how many cotton candy does that make for today?"
"Err...3? Hehe," Yusaku replied, scratching his neck as he felt guilty for giving Mirai's to many sweets. Amy just sighed. She crouched down and said,
"Mirai, no more sweets for tonight alright?"
"Aww... but Amy-nee~"
"Nope~ Or your teeth will rot. Do you want to see the dentist?" she replied. At this, Mirai gasped and cover her mouth.
"No~ don't wanna~ I will stop now." she tearfully added while handing her cotton candy to Amy. Amy just pats her, giving her a thumbs up.
"Good girl. Don't forget to wash your teeth when we're back. How about you eat something else instead? There are crab soup and all sorts of seafood over there. You can go with Sophie-nee to take some, alright?" while nudging Sophie to take Mirai for some foods.

"Alright!" Both Mirai and Sophie replied. Then they head towards the buffet table, while Sophie entertains Mirai of things they wanted to try tonight. Then, she felt somebody patted her shoulder.
At this, she turned around, while still crouching, only to greeted by Yoichi with his sparkling eyes.
"Can I eat candy Amy-nee?" Yoichi asked.
"Hmm... how many did you have today?"
"I have one chocolate bear bread."
"I see... well you can have some of this cotton candy, But! You must wash your teeth when we're back, promise?" she said while giving her pinky. Yoichi put out his pinky too, while cheerfully replied,
"Umm! I promise Amy-nee!" Amy nodded, satisfied with Yoichi replies. She gave him the cotton candy, and swiftly stand up.
"Yusaku, have you eaten yet?"
"Just a bit while waiting for Amy-nee. How about Amy-nee eaten some first? The first dance will start soon" he suggests. Amy just shakes her head.
"It's alright. How about we go together instead? Look, there's some empty seat beside Hotaru. We can eat together with her then"
"Alright then. I will grab some food first, then we can switch" he replied before heading towards the buffet table. Amy then picked up Yoichi, carrying him to the table.
"Hello, Hotaru. May I join you?"
"If you don't mind those people at the back, sure" she just replied nonchalantly, while munching some of the crabs. Amy just glanced over the crowd of people behind Hotaru- all of them were of sponsors and her admirers. She just chuckled.
"I'm alright. Then, don't mind if I do" she sat beside Hotaru while placing Yoichi on her right. Yoichi since the earlier focus on his cotton candy, in which Amy find it cute. Then, she faced Hotaru,
"So... how's so far? The sponsors? Ah, and don't worry, I've subtly put a soundproof barrier around us. So you can just say anything"
"I see, that's convenient. Hmm, there's quite a lot of them. And they are very troublesome if I may add. But nevertheless, I've secured a few that met your requirements."
"I see, that's good then. We will go through them this weekend, you're ok with that?"
"Yeah, I'm alright. By the way, your siblings heading this way."
At this, Amy saw Sophie, Yusaku and Mirai, each brings a plate filled with foods of all kind.
"Amy-nee, this one is for you" Sophie cheerfully said while placing a plate of crabs and gyoza in front of her.
"Oh, thanks so much, Sophie. Hotaru, they will be joining us alright"
"Yeah sure. But I want one of those gyoza" Hotaru pointed out at one of them. Amy just laugh.
"Yeah, yeah. Just take it. You're having a hard time to walk around with those admirers right"
Hotaru just munches the gyoza, ignoring Amy's question. Amy just shakes her head, sympathizing with Hotaru's situation. As they all settled down, the music starts playing. The dance floor in front of them soon filled with students, dancing their first dance with their partners.

"You're not dancing Hotaru-san?" Yusaku asked. Hotaru just shakes her head while adding,
"Not now. Maybe during the last dance"
"I see..." Yusaku then just watched as students danced. Amy also gazed over a hundred of students and staffs, dancing their ways at the centre. Then, she saw Ruka and Mikan, dancing together and slowly warming up again. They have been awkward around each other since the performance the other day. Though...
Amy looked at Sophie and Hotaru- both seemingly have a longing look on their eyes- one for Mikan and one for Ruka. Though, their face remains neutral.
She just shakes her head from too many buzzing thoughts, as she finished her meal. Though, once she finished, her name was called by the ever-familiar voice.
"Amy...are you busy right now?" A boy with red hair asked. It was none other than Sakurano.
Amy just smiled- maintaining the ever nice expression.
"Umm, no. I'm not busy right now. May I know why?" she asked.
"Then, can I asked you for a dance?" Amy hesitated to reply. She doesn't mind to go for a dance, though it won't just dance with him. There's probably some kind of interrogation midway dancing. Not to mention, many eyes will be watching them... Seeing that Amy was a bit hesitant, Sophie immediately replied,
"Sure! She will love too. Don't worry Amy-nee, we can take care of Mirai and Yoichi." Amy just internally face-palmed at her sister sudden replied. She was thinking of how to reject the dance, but now she has no choice. Holding back her sigh, she took Sakurano's hand.
"As my sister said, I would love to. But I'm not really much of a dancer, so hope you don't mind about that Senpai"
"It's alright. I'm not that good either. Thank you for accepting it, Amy."
And so, both of them walked to the dance floor, gazed by students and teachers around them. Then, they started to dance, following the music as they take step by step. They said that both of them danced gracefully as if they have dance many times before.
Though, she ignored all those gazes. Then, putting a very thin layer of soundproof barrier, she asked,
"So... what did you want to talk about senpai? And yes, I've already put a barrier"
"I see... it seems that your control has improved, right?"
"Yeah, thankfully, I've been practising in that place- Subaru-senpai must have told you about that?"
"Yes, and that's what I wanted to talked about now"
"The Homebase?"
"Specifically the thing you've talked about with Subaru there. About meeting ESP. He's been... a bit worried since then and asked me to talked you out of this"
"And are you going to?"
"At first. But when he said that you already have a plan, I changed my mind. I believe that you've already made some kind of foolproof plan- hence why the You who always avoiding ESP are willing to meet him tomorrow. Though, I still wanted to know your plan. If it's dangerous, then we will stop you, and take you under HSP protection"
"Well, thanks for believing in me and yes, you don't need to worry. The first part is already under progress. I wish to make myself known by the majority of the students- like right now. You do realise we are very much receiving attention right?"
"Yeah, though I should have apologized in advanced for breaking my promise with you- on not to draw attention."
"It's fine~ if it's earlier, then I will throw tantrum. Let's just say it's the right timing. With this, another rumour will spread and more people will know about me"
"Why? I know you're not a person who likes fame?"
"Yup, that's true. I hate it. But it's necessary. Having people know- or at least have an idea of there's a person like me exist in the elementary division, people will start to aware of me. And from there, I can steadily build a positive rapport- hence gaining trust from then."
"I see. So by building your influence, if let's say something happens, you can do something which will move the masses- in this case, students right?"
"Yup... and that is just the first phase. I will explain more later as the song already ended. The last dance will start soon after all."
"I see... alright then. Is there anything else that I should know?"
"Well... please tell HSP, I will be meeting him soon. Please, could you set up that meeting between 25th December to 1st January?"
"That late?"
"Yes, that late. It has to be during that time, please."
"Alright then. I will handle that for you. Till next time Amy"
"Yes, till next time, thank you for the dance senpai." And so they bowed to each other, before heading their own way. She then waved at her siblings who already stand up, ready for the last dance. As the song started to play, she holds her sibling's hand, and smile,
"Let's go"
And so they danced the last dance, each with a smile. Whilst each wished for the everlasting bond of family and love- protecting each other till the end.
And, from afar, away from the crowds of dancing and dazzling lights, a pair of black eyes stared at the scene. Caressing his earings as he watched everything unfold.
It was the morning after the closing party. A girl with shoulder-length hair stand in front of a long mirror, fixing her earing, hiding it behind her strands of hair. Then, she took a mushroom ring and wear it on her hand.
One last check on her uniform and her pouch, she smiled. Putting the ever calm face, though her eyes burning with flames of determination.
"Alright, let's do this!"
In the manga, Sakurano's hair was actually red. While in the anime his hair was blond. So, I've decided that in here, Sakurano will have red hair instead of blond cuz his cuter with that~ Just kidding. It's because the majority of the characters in this fanfic use the original colour from the manga. That's all~

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
