It was the day after Inchou returned from his vacation. As expected, he did lose his Alice. And was held in the hospital for a checkup. Everyone was in a frenzy- confused and scared. Though, Amy remains calm throughout the event. She decided to follow through with her plan by remaining impassive at this time.

Afterwards, much later that day, Inchou was finally released from the checkup- and was told his loss Alice was not permanent. Though there were some of their classmates being childish- staying away from Inchou, calling him names and afraid that it will be infectious. But, after some explanation, and a but of reprimand from Sumire, they finally understand and apologize to Inchou for being mean at him.

However, undoubtedly, due to suddenly losing his Alice, Inchou still feels down. Upon Mikan's suggestion, they agreed to have a picnic together after class tomorrow. Amy, feeling excited. volunteer to prepare bento for them...

...only to be shot down by others- saying that it will be better if she not.

Amy just pout the rest of the day, and only feeling better after Sophie's request for her to prepare bento- it's only for one person of course...

It was all fun- and Amy just went along with the flow, because this is, after all, a calm before storm...

At least, let there be happy memories before then.

Later that night, she just drops by at Hotaru's room and gives her a message. she said,

"Hotaru, tomorrow or sometime this week, something big will happen. There's a possibility there will be a break in occurred- though it is not 100% sure"

Hotaru, a bit shocked, asked "Break-in? Who?"

She just replied nonchalantly "It will be Z. Due to the spur of many Alice loss, the academy will aggressively pursue them. There's a possibility they will break in here"

"Are you sure? And you don't want to investigate? I thought you of all people will be interested..."

"Probably... And no, I wanted to avoid them. We have other things to prioritize- and that's good, the fact that they persistently antagonizing the academy- especially ESP, meaning he will be careless around us. He will forget about us for now- and focus on Z more. That way we can operate more smoothly... Anyway, my instruction is, make sure to prepare the emergency pouch number 3 with you at all time. And don't chase them- no matter what. This includes you, Sophie. I know you're hiding behind the door." she said, addressing her sister who was hiding. Then, Sophie walked out and just chuckled, embarrassed that she was caught.

"Oops, hehe sorry Amy-nee. We were just working on something"

"Sigh... it's fine. Both of you, don't stay up too late. And remember my warning, understood?"

"Hai~" they both replied. Satisfied, Amy then leaves the corridor where Hotaru's room located and went straight to bed. Hopefully, everything will be fine...

Amy just smiles while looking at the bento box she has prepared for our picnic this evening.

I can't wait to see their reaction when they taste my cooking. Then, I can say proudly now I'm a good cook!

Although I'm already a great cook - Amy just grinned to herself.

Suddenly, Amy heard her name being called from the other end of the corridor.

"Amy! Amy! Emergency!"

"Inchou? Why? What's the rush?"

Inchou, his face filled with worries, catching his breath, he delivered the news.

"Sophie! She and Hotaru... they were shot!"

Shot!

At that word, her mind went blank and the bento box fall down, spilling out it's everything

Currently, in the quarantine room, Tono-senpai and Nodachhi-sensei are comforting mikan and the rest on Hotaru's and Sophie's situation. They all headed towards the same destination- the quarantine room.

The main door to the quarantine room then swings open, revealing a group of children with a face filled with worries and tears - which were mikan, Koko, inchou, Natsume and Ruka.

They walked near the room, standing across the mirror which separates them with Hotaru and Sophie. Both of them just finished with surgery and resting - but, it contains a special virus which somehow makes things worse for both of them.

I'm so sorry Hotaru, I'm so sorry Sophie, this is all my fault...

Mikan continuously cried blaming herself. They were still unconscious and was decided for them to take a rest first. As they were about to leave the room, inchou shouted:

"Everyone! Quickly come here! Hotaru has gained her consciousness"

Mikan quickly run to the mirror which separates them with the quarantine room

"Hotaru! Hotaru... I'm so sorry" mikan says in between her tears. She felt so guilty, seeing how her friends were in so much pain.

Koko, who was standing beside Mikan, use his mind-reading Alice, reenacting Hotaru's thoughts to everyone. He said,

"Hotaru said: Please tell mikan... You Pig! What kind of expression is that? I'm fine... And Sophie will be fine too. I'm not weak, so don't worry... and that's what Hotaru says"

Koko added. Everyone, especially mikan just stunned. Right afterwards, they saw Sophie also slowly gain consciousness, though she still breathing heavily. She looks at mikan and smile.

Then, the room to quarantine room was suddenly swing open, revealing amy, yusaku, Mirai and Yoichi. Their face filled with shocked and sadness. At this, Mirai and Yoichi suddenly cried as yusaku tried to calm them down. The first group which consists of mikan and the rest open a pathway for the 4 of them to went near the room which placed both Sophie and Hotaru.

Yusaku tried his best to hold his tear. He never saw her strongest and most hyper sister be this weak. And Mirai keeps on calling Sophie's name. Amy's eyes were blank, staring at her younger sister who keeps on smiling- as if everything will be alright. Koko, who stands right behind yusaku, says

"Amy and yusaku, your sister Sophie, says that 'i am sorry amy-nee, yusaku, Mirai and Yoichi for making you worry. Looks like we need to postpone our picnic this evening eh? Sorry amy-nee...' that's... what she says"

Listening to that, Amy just muster the best smile she could and say,

"Sophie no baka. We can always do that the other time. Just... just focus on getting well alright?" amy replied with her voice slightly croak.

Sophie just slowly nod. Suddenly Amy felt her sleeves were tugged. She turns to her side, and saw mikan, clenching on her uniform with a continuous stream of tears.

"Amy-san, I'm... I'm so sorry. If it's not because of me..." realising what mikan would say, amy immediately cupped her cheek and look straight to mikan eyes.

"Mikan. Mikan. You, listen to me. They did not blame you at all. If anyone to be blamed. It will them for aiming such a dangerous thing to children. Very unreasonable. Now, please. Stop blaming yourself. They are not weak, so it will be alright" amy add, trying her best to not cry then and there.

She looks at Sophie, where she slightly nod and fainted again. Amy saw clearly, even when both of them say they were ok, they were in so much pain.

Then, amy look around her. Her siblings and all her classmates, looking worried, tired, sad, disturbed. All because of this.

Mikan, that sweet, sweet hyper child, continuously blaming herself.

And, hell, they were are all children. They just wanted to live and grow up in peace. Is it so hard to give them that?!!

At this train of thoughts, added with her sister already in a coma, and her younger siblings obvious distress, she snapped. All of her initial plans just went down the drain. ESP be damned.

"Ahha, ahha, AHHAHAHA!" amy laughed. Her laughter was filled with hollow and void. She pulled her bang to the back before covering her eyes with her hand. It seems that she will change her target this time- to be Z instead of those evidence in the vaults.

Meanwhile, everyone else looks at her with shocked expression when she suddenly snapped into that hollow laughter.

Some of them- Natsume, tono and Ruka just look at her warily to her sudden change.

Inchou, worried, tried to ask

"A-amy san, are you..ok?"

Amy moved her hand away from her face, and look at inchou. She smiles, her face calm, yet her eyes... if filled with fire.

"Yes. I had enough. I had enough with all this bullshit. For fucking christ sake, I'm going to put an end to this stupidity"

They all froze. They know for sure now, amy is very much angry - for an angel like her to curse this much. Ignoring the bewilderment from others, she immediately looks at Hotaru. Hotaru, knowing Amy, already can guess what she's planning for. Originally, Amy said that she will avoid meddling cases on Z for the time being. That's why earlier, there's only Hotaru, Mikan and Sophie that went out secretly to spy on those who break in- just to get a general outlook of whose who. They, of course, did not tell Amy, for they already know she will forbid it and they don't want to worry her. After all, Amy already has her plate full with ESP.

Unfortunately, it backfired.

Amy currently is still unaware of the reasons as to why they three still spy on Z despite her warning yesterday, but Amy decided to think about it more later; she has more urgent things to do.

"Hotaru. I'm going to use those things ok. And I might take some other things from the lab too"

Koko, becoming the communicator, says

"Hotaru says: if you are really sure..."

"Good. don't worry, I'm 100% sure. Thanks, Hotaru."

Then, amy turned her face to Subaru.

"Subaru-senpai. Thank you for your care of my sister. I will come to visit again soon"

Subaru just nod. While he already knew Amy's true persona, he still shocked by her split-second change. Though, he rather focuses on channelling healing Alice to the patient in front of him first.

After the affirmation, amy, Yusaku, Mirai and Yoichi quickly left the room followed by others. The others who were worried tried to stop her.

"Wait, what do you mean. Where are you going?" tono-senpai asked

Amy, stop momentarily and look at tono with a small smile.

"I will go somewhere for a bit. I wish to request your help senpai. Please, bring them to the special ability classroom. I will meet you guys there. Yusaku, bring Mirai and Yoi-chan - follow tono-senpai there"

Yusaku just nods and she turned to the corner. She immediately used the teleportation stone and vanished- to a place where everything is hidden.

There's no time to waste.
